Tailgate release
System allowing the mechanical unlocking of
the boot in the event of a battery or central
locking system malfunction.

Unlocking
)Fold back the rear seats to gain access to
the lock from inside the boot.)Insert a small screwdriver into hole Aof thelock to unlock the tailgate. )Move the latch to the left.



Locking after closing

If the fault persists after closing again, the boot
will remain locked.

Rear seats
Outer rear seat head restraints
These have a high position (comfor t and safety), a low position (rear visibility) and canalso be removed.
T
o remove a head restraint:)pull the head restraint fully upwards, )then, press the lug A.
Never drive with rear passengers whenthe head restraints are removed; thehead restraints must be in place and in
the high position.


Folding the seat from the
boot
Each section of the bench seat (1/3 or 2/3) has
its own control to release the seat back and its seat cushion from the boot.
) Check that nothing is preventing the seat
back from foldin
g (head restraint, seat
belts, ...),) check also that no object on or under theseat could hinder its movement,
)pull the control from the boot and push the
seat backrest.

High load retaining net
Hooked onto the special upper and lower
fixings, this allows the use of the entire loadingvolume up to the roof:
- behind the front seats (row 1) when the rear seats are folded.
- behind the rear seats (row 2).


Never reposition the rear seats if thenet's roller is attached to the backs of the folded seats. )
position the net's roller above the two rails (located on the back of the folded rear seats),)
the two grooves Amust be placed above
the two rails B
. Slide the two rails B
in the grooves A
and push the roller (lengthwise)from right to left to secure it,
)
check that the net is hooked and tightened correctly,
)fold the rear seats, )unroll the high load retaining net withoutstretching it, )position one of the ends of the net's metal
bar in the corresponding upper fixing 1,)pull the net's metal bar to position the other end in the other upper fixing 1 .

Recovering the vehicle on a fl at-bed






From the front Access to the tools
The towing eye is located behind the rear seats. )For access to it, fold the 2/3 par t of the rear seats.
)On the front bumper, unclip the cover bypressing at the bottom to disengage the securing lugs. )Screw the towing eye in fully. )Install the towing system. )Switch on the hazard warning lamps.

Always recover the vehicle on a flatbed lorry or trailer.Never tow the vehicle with the four wheels on the ground (or the front or rear wheels only), you risk damaging the transmission. Place the gear selector in position Nand switch off the engine (Readylampoff).)
Place the gear selector in neutral - position N
.
Failure to obser ve this special condition could result in damage to cer tain braking components and the absence of braking assistance the next time the engine is star ted. Procedure for havin
