Deadlocking is confirmed by fixedlighting of the direction indicators for approximately two seconds.

Using the remote control

Press the closed padlock to lock
the vehicle completely or press
the closed padlock for more

to locking.

By the doors: ) With the electronic key in the defined zone,
press a finger on the door handle (at the
markings) to lock the vehicle.) Within five seconds, press the door handle
again to deadlock the vehicle. B

Press the closed padlock again within fiveseconds to deadlock the vehicle.

Deadlocking

Deadlocking renders the exterior andinterior door controls inoperative.
It also deactivates the manual central
control button.
Therefore, never leave anyone insidethe vehicle when it is deadlocked.


Using the key
)Turn the key to the rear in the driver's door lock to lock the vehicle completely. )Turn the key to the rear again within fiveseconds to deadlock the vehicle.

Boot
)After unlocking the vehicle completely using the remote control or the key, pressat the top (on lever A), and raise the Atailgate.



From the inside

Hold this button down until unlocking of the boot is heard.

)Lower the tailgate using the interior grabhandle.

If the tailgate is not closed correctly, with
the hybrid system active
or the vehicle moving
(speed above 6 mph (10 km/h)), a message appears in the instrument panel screen for a few seconds.

obstacle to closing causes the tailgate to stopand rise a few centimetres automatically.To close the tailgate manually: move the
tailgate slightly up then down to disengage itfrom its drive then lower it until closed.
To avoid the risk of injury, ensure
that no one is close to the rear of thevehicle when opening or closing the tailgate.

While electric opening or closing of the tailgate
is in progress, you can stop its movement at
an
y time: ) press the interior button or button A
on
the remote control or button Bor C on thetailgate.

"Boot open" warning

With the hybrid system active or when the
vehicle is moving, if the tailgate is not properly closed, a message accompanied by an audiblesignal (from 6 mph (10 km/h)) is displayed in the instrument panel screen.
The maximum openin
g height of the tailgate
can be set and memorised (restricted overheadclearance, ...).
This memorisation is done in two steps, bysuccessive presses on button C
:


- durin
g opening, a first press stops the
tailgate at the desired height,

- a second maintained press memorises theposition of the tailgate; an audible signal confirms the memorisation.
To delete this memorisation, make a new
maintained press until the audible signal isheard.

Tailgate release
System allowing the mechanical unlocking of
the boot in the event of a battery or central
locking system malfunction.

Unlocking
)Fold back the rear seats to gain access to
the lock from inside the boot.)Insert a small screwdriver into hole Aof thelock to unlock the tailgate. )Move the latch to the left.



Locking after closing

If the fault persists after closing again, the boot
will remain locked.

Practical information

Reversing lamp (tailgate)
)Open the tailgate and then remove theaccess cover.)Disconnect the lamp connector.)Remove the lamp fixing nut.
)
Carefully remove the lamp from the outside. )
Remove the sealing foam.
)
Turn the bulb holder a quarter of a turn andpull it out.
For reassembly, carry out these operations in
reverse order.
