Practical information
Changing the third brake lamp
bulbs
)Unscrew the fixing pins on each side of the
lamp, without removing them completely. )Push on the screws to unclip the lamp.
)Disconnect the lamp connector.)Remove the lamp from the outside.)Turn the bulb holder which corresponds
to the faulty bulb one quar ter of a turn and remove it.)Pull the bulb and change it.
To r e f i t , c a r ry out these operations in reverse order.

Number plate lamps
To facilitate the removal of the lamp, carry out
this operation with the tailgate half open.
) Insert a thin screwdriver into the lenscutout. )
Push it outwards. )
Remove the lens.)
Change the faulty bulb.
To refit, press on the lens to clip it in place.
Access is by passing a hand under the bumper. ) Turn the bulb holder a quarter of a turn and
pull it out.)
Disconnect the connector on the bulb holder. )
Pull the bulb out and change it.
To r e f i t , c a r ry out these operations in reverseorder.
You can also contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop for the replacement of these bulbs.

Changing a fuse
The extraction tweezer is fitted to the back of
the fusebox cover located inside the glove box. )Open the glove box lid,)unclip the fusebox cover by pulling at the
top right,
)disengage the cover completely and turn it over,
Access to the tools
) remove the carrier on which the tweezer isfitted.

To replace a fuse, you must: )use the special tweezer to extract the fuse
from its housing and check the condition of
its filament.)always replace the failed fuse with a fuse
of the same rating (same colour); using a
different rating could cause faults (risk of fire).
If the fuse fails again soon after replacement, have the vehicle's electrical system checked bya PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.


Changing a fuse

Before changing a fuse:
)the cause of the failure must be identified and rectified, )all electrical consumers must be switched
off,)the vehicle must be immobilised with the
ignition off,)identify the failed fuse using the tables and
layout drawings in the following pages.Good Failed

Battery
The presence of this label indicatesthe use of a 12 V lead-acid battery withspecial technology and specification, for which the involvement of a PEUGEOT dealer or qualified workshop is requiredwhen replacing or disconnecting thebattery.
Failure to observe this recommendation may cause premature wear of thebattery.

After refitting the battery, the Stop & Start system will only be active
after several hours depending on the climatic conditions and the state of charge of the battery (up to about 8 hours).
)Raise the locking tab fully.




Disconnecting the cables

Reconnecting the cables
)Position the open clip 1of the cable on the positive terminal (+) of the battery.
)Press ver tically on the clip 1
to position it correctly against the battery.)Lock the clip by spreading the positioning
lug and then lowering the tab 2.
Do not force the tab as locking will not be possible if the clip is not positionedcorrectly; start the procedure again.
Procedure for char
ging your battery when it is flat or for star ting the engine using another battery.

The battery is located under the bonnet.
To gain access to it:) open the bonnet using the interior releaselever, then the exterior safety catch, )
secure the bonnet stay, )
remove the plastic cover on the (+)
t
erminal.
