2. Apply \fhe parking b\mrake and move \fhe s\mhif\f lever \fo
\fhe P (P \fRk) posi\fion (au\foma\fic \m\fransmission) or
\fhe N (NEUTR\f\b) posi\fion (manual \fr\mansmission) .
3. Depress \fhe brake p\medal and \fhe clu\fch\m pedal
(manual \fransmission\m) .
4. S\far\f \fhe engine.
