Central locking control
Automatic central locking of the
doors
(anti-intrusion security)
The doors and boot can lock automatically while driving (speed above 6 mph (10 km/h)).
To activate or deactivate this function (activated
by default:
If the vehicle is deadlocked or locked from the outside, the button is not active. In this case, use the remote control to unlock the vehicle or pull an interior door handle to open a door.
If one of the doors is open, central locking from the inside does not take place.
Driving with the doors locked may make access to the passenger compar tment by the emergency ser vices more
difficult in an emergency.

Press the closed padlock tolocate your locked vehicle in a car park.
Locating your vehicle
)Operate the button.
This allows the doors and the boot to be locked or unlocked. This is indicated b
y lighting of the cour tesy
lamps and flashing of the direction indicatorsfor a few seconds.
) Operate this button until amessage appears in theinstrument panel screen.

Transporting long or voluminousobjects
If you want to drive with the boot open,press the central locking control button to lock the doors.

Comfort
Switch on the ignition or star t the engine if the vehicle has gone intoeconomy mode.
The electric functions of the driver's seat are active for about 45 secondsafter opening the front door. They are deactivated about 45 seconds after switching off the ignition and in economy mode.

To reactivate them, switch on the ignition.

check that the mat is secured correctly.


To avoid any risk of jamming of the pedals:


- only use mats which are suited tothe fixings already present in thevehicle; these fixings must be used,

- never fit one mat on top of another.
The use of mats not approved byCITROËN may inter fere with access tothe pedals and hinder the operation of the cruise control / speed limiter.
)To use the cigarette lighter, press it in and wait a few seconds until it pops outautomatically. )To connect a 12 V accessory (max power:
120 W), remove the cigarette lighter andconnect a suitable adaptor.
You can use this socket to connect a telephonecharger, a bottle warmer...
After use, put the cigarette lighter back intoplace straight away.

Emergency braking


In the event of a failure of the main servicebrake or in an exceptional situation (e.g. driver
taken ill, under instruction, etc) a continuouspull on the control lever A will stop the vehicle.
The Dynamic Stability Control system provides stability during emergency braking.
If the emer
gency braking malfunctions, amessage is displayed.
Emergency release

Take the vehicle blocks and the release
device, located under the boot carpet.
) On sloping ground, secure the vehicle byplacing chocks in front or behind the front
wheels, on the falling side of the slope. In the event of the electric parkin
g brake
malfunctioning or the battery running flat, an
emergency manual device can release theparking brake. ) Immobilise the vehicle and with the hybridsystem active, place the gear selector inposition M
or R.)
Switch off the engine then switch the
ignition back on (press the STA R T/STOP switch twice). If it is impossible to
immobilise the vehicle, do not operate the
control and contact a CITROËN dealer or
a qualified workshop urgently.
The emergency braking must only be used in exceptional circumstances.
If a failure of the DSC system is
signalled by the illumination of this warning lamp, then braking stability isnot guaranteed.
In this event, stability must be assured by the
driver by repeating alternate "pull-release" actions on the control lever A.

The incorrect installation of a child seat in a
vehicle compromises the child's protection in the event of an accident. Ensure that there is no seat belt or seat beltbuckle under the child seat, as this coulddestabilise it.
Remember to fasten the seat belts or the child seat harnesses keeping the slack relative to the child's body to a minimum, even for shor t journeys.
When installing a child seat using the seat belt, ensure that the seat belt is tightenedcorrectly on the child seat and that it secures the child seat firmly on the seat of your vehicle. If your passenger seat is adjustable, move it for wards if necessary. At rear seating positions, always leavesufficient space between the front seat and:


- a "rear wards facing" child seat,

- the child's feet for a child seat fitted"forwards facing".






Advice on child seats
Installing a booster seat
The chest par t of the seat belt must bepositioned on the child's shoulder without touching the neck.Ensure that the lap part of the seat belt
passes correctly over the child's thighs.CITROËN recommends the use of a booster seat which has a back, fitted with a seat beltguide at shoulder level.
As a safety precaution, do not leave: - a child or children alone and unsupervised in a vehicle, - a child or an animal in a vehicle whichis exposed to the sun, with the windows closed, - the keys within reach of children inside the vehicle. To prevent accidental opening of the doors and rear windows, use the "Child lock". Take care not to open the rear windows bymore than one third.To protect young children from the rays of the sun, fit side blinds on the rear windows.

To do this, move the front seat for wards
and, if necessary, move its backrest into the upright position.
For optimum installation of the "forwards-facing" child seat, ensure that the back of thechild seat is in contact with the back of the vehicle's seat and remove the head restraint.
Ensure that the head restraint is stored or attached securely to prevent it from being thrown around the vehicle in the event of sharp braking. Refit it if an adult uses the seating position. Children under the age of 10 must not travel in the "forwards-facing" position on the front passenger seat, unless the rear seats are already occupied by other children, cannot be used or are absent.
Deactivate the passenger airbag when a "rearwards-facing" child seat is installed on the front seat. Other wise, the child would risk beingseriously injured or killed if the airbag were to inflate.
