Changing a wheel Procedure for changing a wheel with a punctured tyre by the spare wheel using the tools provided with the vehicle.
Some of the tools are accessible from inside
th
e boot. The wheel chocks 2as well as thewheelbrace extension 6are stowed under theright hand boot sill.The wheelbrace 1
and the towing eye 7
arestowed under the left hand boot sill.The other tools, the jack 3
and the tool for removing the wheel bolt head finishers for alloy
wheels 4 , are stowed in a box attached to thespare wheel. The assembly is secured under
the vehicle in a carrier. See the "Access to thespare wheel" section).

Wheel with trim
When removing the wheel
, detach the trimfirst using the wheelbrace 1
pulling at the valvepassage hole.
When refitting the wheel
, refit the trimstarting by placing its notch facing the valve
and press around its edge with the palm of your hand.

Practical information

A puncture wheel from the vehiclecannot be fitted under the vehicle. Itmust be carried in the boot. Use a cover to protect the boot.
)Press the tongue, slide the box cover to thecentre and remove it for access to the other
tools (jack and wheel bolt head finisher removal tool for alloy wheels).

Putting the spare wheel back in place
)Stow the corresponding tools in the box and close the cover. )Position the tool box on the ground.

Return the tools to the box and stow the box in the vehicle's boot. )
Wind in the carrier by turning the
wheelbrace clockwise: once the cable isfully wound in you should no longer feel
any resistance. ) Stow the other tools in the locations provided in the boot.

Fitting a wheel
Fitting the "space-saver"spare wheel
If your vehicle is fitted with alloy wheels, when tightening the bolts on fitting, it is normal to notice that the washers
do not come into contact with the"space-saver" spare wheel. The wheel is secured by the conical surface of each bolt.

)Put the wheel in place on the hub. )Screw in the bolts fully by hand.)Pre-tighten the security bolt using the
wheelbrace 1fitted with the security socket 5
(depending on equipment). )Pre-tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1only.
After changing a wheel
To correctly store the punctured wheelin the boot (not in the location of the space-saver wheel ), first remove thecentral cover. When using the "space-saver" typespare wheel, do not exceed 50 mph(80 km/h). Have the tightening of the bolts and thepressure of the spare wheel checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop without delay. Have the punctured wheel repairedand refitted to the vehicle as soon as possible.

Carefully remove the lamp from the outsideby pressing the retaining clip B.
)Turn the bulb holder a quarter of a turnanti-clockwise and pull the bulb out.)Change the bulb.
For reassembly, carry out these operations in
reverse order.

Towing the vehicle
The towing eye is installed in the boot under
the floor.
To gain access to it:)open the boot, )lift the floor and remove it,)remove the towing eye from its housing.

General recommendations
Observe the legislation in force in your country. Ensure that the weight of the towing vehicle is higher than that of the towed vehicle. The person at the wheel of the towed vehicle must have a valid driving licence.When towing a vehicle with all four wheels on the ground, always use an approved towing bar; rope and straps are prohibited. When towing a vehicle with the engine off, there is no longer any power assistance for braking or steering. In the following cases, you must always call on a professional recovery service: - vehicle broken down on a motor way or fast road, - 4 wheel drive vehicle, - when it is not possible to put the gearbox into neutral, unlock the steering, or release theparking brake, - towing with only two wheels on the ground, - where there is no approved towing bar available...
