3. Immediately after completingStep 2, press and hold
/until
the turn signal lamps flash, or for
about two seconds if the vehicle
is not in view.
When the engine starts, the parking
lamps will turn on and remain on as
long as the engine is running. The
doors will be locked and the climate
control system may come on.
The engine will continue to run for
10 minutes. Repeat the steps for a
10-minute time extension. Remote
start can be extended only once.
Canceling a Remote Start
To cancel a remote start, do one of
the following:
.Aim the RKE transmitter at the
vehicle and press and hold
/
until the parking lamps turn off.
.Turn on the hazard warning
flashers.
.Turn the vehicle on and then off. See
Remote Vehicle Start on
page 2‑5.
Door Locks
To lock or unlock a door:
.To lock the door from the inside,
use the door lock knob on the
top of the door.
.To unlock the door from inside,
pull the handle once. Pulling the
handle again unlatches the door.
.From the outside turn the key
clockwise or counterclockwise,
or press
QorKon the Remote
Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter.

Power Door Locks
There is a power door lock switch
on the instrument panel and on the
front door panels.
Q: Press to lock the doors.
K: Press to unlock the doors. See
Power Door Locks on page 2‑7.
Trunk Release
The trunk may be opened by
pressing the remote trunk release
button located on the lower portion
of the driver door or
Von the
Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)
transmitter. See Trunk on page 2‑8
for more information.
Seat Adjustment
Manual Seats
To adjust the seat:
1. Lift the handle under the seat to unlock it.

Interior Lighting
Dome Lamps
The dome lamp buttons are located
overhead near the rearview mirror.
To change the settings, press the
following:
(:Turns the lamp off, even
when a door is open.
H: Turns the lamp on
automatically when a door is
opened.
': Turns the lamp on.

Exterior Lighting
The exterior lamps control is on the
instrument panel, on the outboard
side of the steering wheel.
The exterior lamps control has four
positions:
P: Briefly turn to this position to
turn the automatic light control off or
on again. When released, the
control returns to the AUTO
position.
AUTO: Use to automatically turn on
the headlamps, parking lamps,
taillamps, sidemarker lamps, license
plate lamps, and instrument panel
lights.
;: Use to turn on the parking
lamps together with the taillamps,
sidemarker lamps, license plate
lamps and instrument panel lights.
5: Use to turn on the headlamps
together with the parking lamps,
taillamps, sidemarker lamps, license
plate lamps, and instrument panel
lights.
#: Use to turn the fog lamps on
or off.

Steering Wheel Controls
Some audio steering wheel controls
can be adjusted at the steering
wheel.
b/g:Press to interact with the
available Bluetooth or OnStar
systems.
$/i: Press to silence the
vehicle speakers only. Press again
to turn the sound on. For vehicles
with OnStar or Bluetooth systems,
press to reject an incoming call,
or end a current call.
_SRC^: Press to select an audio
source.
Turn up or down to select the next
or previous favorite radio station,
CD, or MP3 track.
+
x− : Press + to increase the
volume; press −to decrease the
volume.

Cruise Control
The cruise control buttons are
located on the outboard side of the
steering wheel.
5: Press to turn the cruise control
system on and off. An indicator light
comes on in the instrument panel
cluster.
\: Press to disengage cruise
control without erasing the set
speed from memory.
RES/+ : Move the thumbwheel up
to make the vehicle resume to a
previously set speed or to
accelerate to a higher speed.
SET/− :Move the thumbwheel
down to set a speed or to make the
vehicle decelerate.

Driver Information
Center (DIC)
The DIC display is located in the
center of the instrument panel
cluster. It shows the status of many
vehicle systems. The controls for
the DIC are located on the turn
signal lever.
MENU:Press this button to get to
the Trip/Fuel Menu and the Vehicle
Information Menu.
w x: Use the thumbwheel to
scroll through the items in
each menu. SET:
Use this button to set or clear
the menu item when it is displayed.

Ultrasonic Parking Assist
If available, Ultrasonic Rear Parking
Assist (URPA) system uses sensors
on the rear bumper to assist with
parking and avoiding objects while
in R (Reverse). It operates at
speeds less than 8 km/h (5 mph).
URPA uses audible beeps to
provide distance and system
information.
Keep the sensors on the vehicle's
rear bumper clean to ensure proper
operation.

Power Outlets
The vehicle has two accessory
power outlets; one is located below
the climate control system and the
other is inside the center console
storage. They can be used to plug
in electrical equipment, such as a
cell phone or an MP3 player.
The accessory power outlets do not
work when the key is removed from
the ignition and the driver door is
opened. This helps to preserve the
battery life of the vehicle.
