1. Identify the front and rearcrossrail.
2. The front crossrail (1) is smaller than the rear crossrail (2).3. The crossrail supports arelabeled with an arrow (2) that
needs to point toward the front
of the vehicle. A pin (1) will be
visible on the bottom when the
crossrail support lever is down.
To install the crossrail support,
move the lever into the forward
upper position; the pin (1) will
not be visible.
4. Locate the forward or rearwardcut-out in the siderail channel.
5. Insert both crossrail ends into the cut-outs, making sure the
arrows are pointed toward the
front of the vehicle.

6. Levers must still be in theforward up position. Move the
front crossrail forward beyond
the cut-out area (2). For the rear
crossrail, slide the crossrail
assembly (1) rearward until the
entire crossrail support is in first
position beyond the channel
cut-out area (2).
7. Move the levers on both crossrails to the down position.
Slide the crossrail until the
crossrail pin engages.
8. The crossrails should lock in the same hole position on each side.
Removing the Crossrails
1. Move both levers of the crossrailinto the upper forward position.
2. Slide the crossrail into the cut-out area.
3. Remove the crossrail from the vehicle.
4. Repeat for the other crossrail.
5. Replace the siderail covers on the siderails.

Steering Wheel
Adjustment
To adjust the steering wheel:
1. Pull the lever down.
2. Move the steering wheel up
or down.
3. Pull or push the steering wheel closer or away from you.
4. Pull the lever up to lock the steering wheel in place. Power Tilt Wheel
For vehicles with the power tilt
wheel, the control is on the left side
of the steering column.
.Push the control up or down to
tilt the steering wheel up
or down.
.Push the control forward or
rearward to move the steering
wheel toward the front or rear of
the vehicle.
Do not adjust the steering wheel
while driving.

Steering Wheel Controls
Some audio steering wheel controls
could differ depending on the
vehicle's options. Controls that can
be adjusted at the steering wheel
may include:
SRCE (Source):Press to switch
between AM, FM, or SiriusXM™
(if equipped) radio, CD, DVD
(if equipped), HDD (if equipped),
auxiliary input jack, and USB
(if equipped).
yorc/z(Previous/Next):
Press to go to the previous or next
radio station stored as a favorite,
or the previous or next track of
a CD.
Press to interact with the Bluetooth
®
system. See Bluetooth on
page 7‑36 for more information.
+
e− (Volume): Press to increase
or to decrease the volume.
b/g(Mute/Speech Recognition/
Push to Talk): Press and release
to silence the vehicle speakers only.
The audio of the wireless and wired
headphones, if the vehicle has
these features, do not mute. Press
and release
b/gagain, to turn the
sound on.
.For vehicles with a navigation
system, press and hold
b/gfor
two seconds to initiate speech
recognition. See “Speech
Recognition” in the navigation
manual for more information.
.For vehicles without a navigation
system, press and hold
b/gfor
two seconds to interact with
OnStar
®or Bluetooth. See

Heated Steering Wheel
The vehicle may be equipped with a
heated steering wheel.
((Heated Steering Wheel):Press
to turn the heated steering wheel on
or off. A light on the button displays
when the feature is turned on.
The steering wheel takes about
three minutes to start heating.
Horn
Pressaon the steering wheel pad
to sound the horn.
Windshield Wiper/Washer
Sedan and Coupe Model
Wagon Model
The windshield wiper lever is on the
right side of the steering column.
Move the windshield wiper lever to
select the wiper speed.
8(Mist): Single wipe, briefly
move the lever down and release.
Several wipes, hold the lever down.
((Off): Turns the wipers off.
3 (Adjustable Interval Wipes):
For a delayed wiping cycle. Turn the
band up for more frequent wipes or
down for less frequent wipes.
1: Slow wipes.
2: Fast wipes.
If the windshield wipers are in use
for about six seconds while you are
driving, the exterior lamps come on
automatically if the exterior lamp
control is in AUTO. See “Wiper
Activated Headlamps” for more
information.
Clear snow and ice from the wiper
blades before using them. If frozen
to the windshield, carefully loosen or
thaw them. Damaged wiper blades
should be replaced. For more
information, see Wiper Blade

Heavy snow or ice can overload the
wiper motor. A circuit breaker will
stop the motor until it cools down.
Rainsense™
For vehicles with Rainsense, a
sensor near the top center of the
windshield detects the amount of
water on the windshield and
automatically controls the frequency
of the windshield wiper.
Keep this area of the windshield
clear of debris to allow for best
system performance.

When using an automatic car wash,
move the windshield wiper lever to
the
(position. This disables the
windshield wipers and/or rear
wipers, if equipped.
Windshield Washer
{WARNING
In freezing weather, do not use
the washer until the windshield is
warmed. Otherwise the washer
fluid can form ice on the
windshield, blocking your vision.
Sedan and Coupe Model
K(Washer Fluid): Press the
button with this symbol, on the end
of the windshield washer lever to
wash the windshield. The washer
fluid sprays onto the windshield and
the wipers run for a few cycles to
clear the windshield. Press and hold
Kfor more wash cycles.

Wagon Model
Pull the lever toward you to spray
washer fluid on the windshield. The
spray continues until the lever is
released. The wipers will run a few
times.
WASHER FLUID LOW ADD FLUID
displays on the Driver Information
Center (DIC) when the washer fluid
is low. SeeWasher Fluid Messages
on page 5‑45.
See Washer Fluid on page 10‑23 for
information on filling the windshield
washer fluid reservoir.
If the headlamps are on while the
windshield is being washed, the
headlamp washers, if the vehicle
has them, will also turn on. See
“Headlamp Washer” following for
more information.
Wiper Activated Headlamps
This feature activates the
headlamps and parking lamps after
the windshield wipers have been in use for about six seconds. For this
feature to work, the exterior lamp
control must be in AUTO.
The wiper-activated headlamps
immediately turn off, when the
ignition is turned to LOCK/OFF or
the windshield wiper control is
turned off.
Rear Window Wiper/
Washer
For vehicles with a rear window
wiper/washer, the controls are on
the end of the windshield wiper
lever.Press the upper or lower portion of
the button to control the rear wiper
and rear wiper delay.
The system turns off when the
button is returned to the middle
position.
Z(Rear Wiper Delay Short):
Sets a five‐second delay between
wipes.
5(Rear Wiper Delay Long): Sets
a 10‐second delay between wipes.
