NOTICE
When encountering flooded roads
Do not drive on a road that has flooded after heavy rain etc. Doing so may
cause the following serious damage to the vehicle.
Engine stalling
Short in electrical components
Engine damage caused by water immersion
In the event that you drive on a flooded road or the vehicle is flooded, be
sure to have any authorized Toyota dealer or repairer, or another duly quali-
fied and equipped professional check the following.
Brake function
Changes in quantity and quality of engine oil, transmission fluid, etc.
Lubricant condition for the bearings and suspension joints (where possi-
ble) and the function of all joints, bearings, etc.

CAUTION
Battery precautions
In the event that battery fluid comes into contact with the skin or eyes,
immediately wash the affected area with water and seek medical attention.
Place a wet sponge or cloth over the affected area until medical attention
can be received.
Always wash your hands after handling the battery support, terminals, and
other battery-related parts.
Do not allow children near the battery.
NOTICE
To prevent damage to the vehicle (vehicles with manual transmission)
Do not pull- or push-start the vehicle, because the catalytic converter may
overheat and become a fire hazard.
When handling jumper cables
Be careful that the jumper cables do not become tangled in the cooling fan
or any of the belts when connecting or disconnecting them.

cause deterioration in shift quality, locking up of your transmission accompa-
nied by vibration, and ultimately damage the transmission of your vehicle.
