Driving
You must press the brake pedal when star ting the engine.
Whatever the circumstances, you must manually apply the parking brake when parking, unless the parking brake isprogrammed in automatic mode.

When immobilising the vehicle, with the hybrid system active, you must place the gear lever in neutral N.Before carrying out any work in the engine compar tment, check that the gear lever is in neutral N
and that the
parking brake is applied.



Stopping the vehicle
With the ignition on, theflashing of this warning lamp, accompanied by an audiblesignal and a message in the instrument panelscreen, indicates a malfunction of the gearbox.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop. Be
fore switching off the engine, you can
choose to:


- move to position N
to engage neutral,

- leave the gear engaged; in this case, it will
not be possible to move the vehicle.
In both cases,
you should apply the parkingbrake to immobilise the vehicle.


Operating fault
This function facilitates manoeuvring of the
vehicle at low speed (when parking, in traffic jams, …).
With the hybrid system active and the parking
brake released, if position A, M
or R
is selected, the vehicle moves as soon as you
take your foot off the brake pedal (even without any action on the accelerator).
Creep function (moving
without the accelerator
)

Never leave children unsuper vised in the vehicle with the hybrid system active. For
your safety, this function will only be activated if you press the brake pedal when engaging for ward drive or reverse.
This function is deactivated if the driver's door
is opened. To reactivate it, close the door and
then press the brake or accelerator pedal.

Hill start assist

System which keeps your vehicle immobilised
temporarily (approximately 2 seconds) whenstarting on a gradient, the time it takes to move your foot from the brake pedal to the
accelerator pedal.
This function is only active when:


- the vehicle is completely stationary, with
your foot on the brake pedal,

- in par ticular conditions on a slope,

- with th
e driver’s door closed.
The hill start assist function cannot bedeactivated.
On an ascendin
g slope, with the vehicle
stationary, the vehicle is held for a brief moment when you release the brake pedal,if the gear lever is in position A or M.
Operation
On a descending slope, with the vehicle
stationary and reverse gear engaged, thevehicle is held for a brief moment when you
release the brake pedal.
Do not exit the vehicle while it is beingheld in the hill star t assist phase.
If you need to exit the vehicle with the hybrid system active, apply the parkingbrake manually then ensure that theparking brake warning lamp and thewarning lamp P
on the lever (of the electric brake) are permanently on.


Operating fault

If a malfunction of the system occurs, these
warning lamps come on. Contact a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop to have the
system checked.

Driving
In bad weather or in winter, ensure that the sensors are not covered with mud, ice or snow. When reverse gear isengaged, an audible signal (long beep)indicates that the sensors may be dirty.
When the vehicle is moving at a speed below 6 mph (10 km/h), cer tain sound sources (motorcycle, lorry, pneumatic
drill, etc.) may trigger the audiblesignals of the parking sensor system.
In th
e event of a malfunction
of the system, when reverse gear is engaged this warninglamp is displayed in the instrument panel
and/or a message appears in the screen,
accompanied by an audible signal (short beep).
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
wor
kshop.

Operating fault
In addition to the rear parking sensors, the front
parking sensors are triggered when an obstacle
is detected in front and the speed of the vehicle
is still below 6 mph
(10 km/h).
The front parking sensors are interrupted if
the vehicle stops for more than three seconds
in
forward gear, if no fur ther obstacles are
detected or when the speed of the vehicle exceeds 6 mph (10 km/h).
Front par king sensors
The function will be deactivated automatically if a trailer is being towed or a bicycle carrier is fitted (vehicle fitted with a towbar or bicycle carrier recommended by PEUGEOT).



Deactivation/Activation of the front and rear parking sensors

The function is deactivated by pressing this button.The indicator lamp in the button comes on.
Pressing this button again reactivates the function. The indicator lamp in the button goes off.

The sound emitted by the speaker (frontor rear) indicates whether the obstacle is in front or behind.

It measures the size of the space and gives you
information on:


- the possibility of fitting into a free space,
depending on the dimensions of your
vehicle and the distances needed for manoeuvring,

- the level of difficulty of the parkingmanoeuvre.
The system does not measure spaces whichare clearly much smaller or larger than the size of the vehicle.
The warning lamp in the control A
can have two different states:

When you have identified a parking space:
)Put the gear lever in position A.)Press button Ato star t the system. )Operate the direction indicator on the
side where the space is to be measured;
a message is displayed and the warning lamp flashes to confirm that measurement is in progress. )During measurement, go for ward the length of the space, at a speed less than
12 mph (20 km/h), to prepare for your manoeuvre.)Once the measurement has beencompleted, the system informs you of
the level of difficulty of the manoeuvre
by a message in the multifunction screen accompanied by an audible signal.


The system displays one of the following messages:
Parking possible
Parking difficult
Parking not advised


If the lateral distance between your vehicle and the parking space is toogreat, the system may not be able tomeasure the space.


The system remains available after each measurement and can therefore measure several spaces in succession.
In poor or wintry weather, ensure thatthe sensors are free of dir t, ice or snow.
The parking space sensor system deactivates the front parking sensorswhen measuring forwards.
If there is a fault, have the system checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or aqualified workshop.
The s
ystem switches itself off automatically:


- when you engage reverse gear,

- when
you switch off the ignition,

- if measuring is not requested,

- within five minutes of switching on thesystem,

- if the vehicle speed exceeds the threshold
o
f 45 mph (70 km/h) for one minute.

Parking lamps
Side markers for the vehicle by illumination of
the sidelamps on the traffic side only. ) Within one minute of switching off the
ignition, operate the lighting control stalk up
or down depending on the traffic side (for example: when parking on the left; lightingcontrol stalk upwards; the right handsidelamps are on).
This is confirmed by an audible signal andillumination of the corresponding direction indicator warning lamp in the instrument panel.
To switch off the parking lamps, return the
lighting control stalk to the middle position or
switch on the ignition.
Temporarily keeping the dipped beam
headlamps on after the ignition has beenswitched off makes the driver's exit easier when
the light is poor.
Manual guide-me-home
lighting

Switching on
)Within 30 seconds or a minute after switching of the ignition (according to theautomatic guide-me-home lighting durationprogrammed in the configuration menu),
"flash" the headlamps using the lightingstalk.)A further "headlamp flash" switches the
function off.



Switching off

The manual guide-me-home lighting switches
off automatically after about 30 seconds.

The sidelamps and dipped beam headlamps are switched

driver, when a low level of external light is detected or in certain cases of activation of the windscreen wipers. As soon as the brightness returns to a sufficient

Association with automatic guide-me-home lighting

Association with automatic illumination of
headlamps provides the guide-me-home lighting with the following additional options:


- selection of the lighting duration of 15, 30or 60 seconds,

- automatic activation of guide-me-home lighting when the automatic illumination of
headlamps is in operation.



Operating fault

In the event of a fault with the sunshine sensor, the lightingcomes on, this warning lamp
is displayed in the instrument panel and/or
a message appears in the instrument panel screen, accompanied by an audible signal.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.
In fog or snow, the sunshine sensor maydetect sufficient light. In this case, the lighting will not come on automatically. Do not cover the sunshine sensor,coupled with the rain sensor and located in the centre of the windscreenbehind the rear view mirror; theassociated functions would no longer be controlled.


Programming
Selection of the duration of the guide-me-home lighting is done
in the configuration menu vehicleparameters, in the instrument panel screen.

Adaptive lighting


Switching on
The driver can take over at any time, if the circumstances dictate:
System which automatically changes betweendipped and main beam according to the driving conditions, using a sensor in the rear viewmirror.
The system is active from 15 mph (25 km/h)
and is deactivated below 9 mph (15 km / h).
)put the lighting control stalk on the "AUTO"
or "Dipped/main beam headlamps"
position,
Switching off
) or by dipping the headlamps manually using the lighting control stalk, whether
in the "AUTO" or "Dipped/main beam
headlamps" position.
Flashing the headlamps does notdeactivate the system.The state of the system is stored in memory when switching off the ignition. This automatic headlamp dipping system is a driving aid. The driver remains responsible for the vehicle'slighting and its correct use for theprevailing conditions of light, visibility and traffic.

The system may suffer interference or not work correctly:


- under conditions of poor visibility(for example, snowfall, heavy rainor thick fog, ...),

- if the windscreen is dir ty, misted or obscured (by a sticker, ...) in front of the sensor,

- if the vehicle is facing highly reflective signs.



The system is not able to detect:


- road users that do not have their own lighting, such as pedestrians,

- road users whose lighting is obscured, such as vehicles running behind a safety barrier (on amotorway, for example),

- road users at the top or bottom of a steep slope, on twisty roads, on crossroads.
