Changing a wheel
Procedure for changing a faulty wheel for the spare wheel using the tools provided with the vehicle.
The tools are located in the boot, behind the
r
ear seats.
Access to the tools
List of tools
All of these tools are specific to your vehicle andcan vary according to the level of equipment. Donot use them for other purposes.1.Wheelbrace. For removing the wheel trim and removing
the wheel bolts.
2. Jack with integral handle.
For raising the vehicle.
3."Bolt cover" tool.
For removing the bolt protectors
(covers)on alloy wheels.4.Socket for the security bolts (located in theglove box).
For adapting the wheelbrace to the special
"security" bolts.
5.One wheel chock for immobilising the
vehicle.
6. Towing eye.

Before doing any work on your vehicle,switch off the ignition (Ready
lamp off) to avoid any risk of injury resulting fromautomatic operation of the engine.
When using lifting equipment (a jackfor example), take care to use the
jacking points provided, so as to avoid damaging the high voltage cables.

The headlamps are fitted with
polycarbonate glass with a protectivecoating: )do not clean them using a dry or abrasive cloth, nor with a detergent or solvent product, )
use a sponge and soapy water, )
when using a high pressure washer on persistent marks, do not keep the lance directed towards thelamps or their edges for too long, so as not to damage their protectivecoating and seals.
Risk of electrocution
Xenon bulbs (D1S-35W) must bereplaced by a PEUGEOT dealer or aqualified workshop.
)Do not touch the bulb directly withyour fingers, use lint-free cloths. Changing a bulb should only be doneafter the headlamp has been switched off for a few minutes (risk of serious burns). It is imperative to use only anti-ultraviolet (UV) type bulbs in order notto damage the headlamp. Always replace a failed bulb with a new bulb with the same type andspecification.
Dipped and main beamheadlamps (xenon model)
D1S xenon bulbs must be changedby a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualifiedworkshop, as there is a risk of electrocution.
It is recommended that the D1S bulbsare changed at the same time when oneof them fails.

Daytime running lamps
For the replacement of these light-emitting diode (LED) lamps, contacta PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.

Recovering the vehicle on a fl at-bed
From the front Access to the tools
The towing eye is located behind the rear seats. )For access to it, fold the 2/3 par t of the rear seats.
)On the front bumper, unclip the cover bypressing at the bottom to disengage the securing lugs. )Screw the towing eye in fully. )Install the towing system. )Switch on the hazard warning lamps.
Always recover the vehicle on a flatbed lorry or trailer.Never tow the vehicle with the four wheels on the ground (or the front or rear wheels only), you risk damaging the transmission. Place the gear lever in position Nand switch off the engine (Readylamp off). )
Place the gear lever in neutral - position N
. Failure to obser ve this specialcondition could result in damageto certain braking components andthe absence of braking assistance the next time the engine is star ted.

Vehicle recovery
Before doing any work, with the ignition on, press the brake pedal and put the gear lever inposition N
, then switch off the hybrid system.
Th
e front or rear wheels must not be on the ground, use a flat-bed lorry or trailer to recover
the vehicle.
Use the towing eyes only to pull a vehicle out or to pull it onto a flat-bed.
If necessary because access to the vehicle is difficult, it can be moved a few
dozen metres at a speed not exceeding 6 mph (10 km/h).

Towing a trailer, ...
We recommend the use of genuine PEUGEOT towbars and their harnesses that have been tested and approvedfrom the design stage of your vehicle, and that the fitting of the towbar isentrusted to a PEUGEOT dealer or aqualified workshop.
If the towbar is not fitted by a PEUGEOT dealer, it is imperative that itis fitted in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer's instructions.

Your vehicle is primarily designed for
transporting people and luggage, but it mayalso be used for towing a trailer.
Blanking cover
When towing, you must remove the blanking cover if your vehicle has one.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualifiedworkshop for this.
Driving with a trailer places greater demands on the towing vehicle and the
driver must take par ticular care.
Maximum trailer weight
You must not tow a trailer weighing more than 800 kg.

Driving advice
Distribution of loads
)Distribute the load in the trailer so that theheaviest items are as close as possible to
the axle and the nose weight approaches the maximum permitted without exceeding it.
Air density decreases with altitude, thus reducing engine performance. Above
1 000 metres, the maximum towed load must
be reduced b
y 10 % for every 1 000 metres of altitude.

Side wind

to side wind.
Cooling

temperature of the coolant.
As the fan is electricall
y controlled, its cooling capacity is not dependent on the engine speed.

To lower the engine speed, reduce your speed.
The maximum towed load on a long incline
depends on the
gradient and the ambient
temperature.
In all cases, keep a check on the coolant
temperature.

If the warning lamp and the STOPwarning lamp come on, stop the
vehicle and switch off the engine
as soon as possible.
Braking
To w i ng a trailer increases the braking distance.
To avoid overheating of the brakes on a longmountain type of descent, the use of engine braking is recommended.
Tyres
)Check the tyre pressures of the towingvehicle and of the trailer, obser ving the recommended pressures.
Lighting
)Check the electrical lighting and signalling on the trailer.
The rear parking sensors will be deactivated automatically if a genuine PEUGEOT towbar is used.
