panel arefully closed.
X Make surethatallthe side windows andthe
sliding sunroof orpanorama roofwith
power tilt/sliding panelareclosed.
On vehicles withapanorama roofwith power
tilt/sliding panel:
X Press andhold the& button againuntil
the roller sunblinds ofthe panorama roof
with power tilt/sliding panelclose.
X To interru ptconve nienceclosi ng:
release the& button.
Using KEYLESS-GO The
KEYLE SS-GO key must beoutside the
vehicle. Allthe doors mustbeclosed. X
Touch recessed sensorsurface :onthe
door handle untiltheside windows andthe
sliding sunroof orthe panorama roofwith
power tilt/sliding panelarefully closed. i
Make
sureyouonly touch recessed
sensor surface :.
X Make surethatallthe side windows andthe
sliding sunroof orpanorama roofwith
power tilt/sliding panelareclosed. On
vehicles withapanorama roofwith power
tilt/sliding panel:
X Touch recessed sensorsurface :onthe
door handle againuntiltheroller sunblinds
of the panorama roofwith power tilt/
sliding panelclose.
X To interru ptconve nienceclosi ng:
release recessed sensorsurface :onthe
door handle. Resetting
theside window s
If aside window cannolonger beclosed fully,
you must reset it.
X Close allthe doors.
X Turn theSmartK eytoposition 1or 2in the
ignition lock.
X Pull thecorresponding switchonthe door
cont rolpanel untiltheside window is
completely closed(Ypage 85).
X Hold theswitch foranadditional second.
If the side window opensagainslightly:
X Immediately pullthecorresponding switch
on the door controlpanel untiltheside
window iscompletely closed(Ypage 85).
X Hold theswitch foranadditional second.
X Ifthe corresponding sidewindow remains
closed afterthebutton hasbeen released,
the side window hasbeen reset correct ly.
If this isnot thecase, repeat thesteps
above again. Problems
withtheside window s
Problem: aside window cannotbeclosed

ING When

make surethatthereis no danger ofanyone
being harmed bythe openin g/closing
procedur e.
The sliding sunroof isequipped with
automatic operationandtheanti- entrapmen t feature.
Ifthe movem entofthe sliding sunroof
is block edduring theclosin gprocedu re,the
slid ing sunroof willstop andopen slightly.
The sliding sunroof operatesdiffere ntlywhen
the slidingsunroof switch ispresse dand held .
See the"Prob lemswiththesliding sunroof"
section formore details.
The opening/cl osingprocedu reofthe sliding
sunroof canbeimmed iatelyhal ted by
relea singthesliding sunroof switch or,ifthe
slid ing sunroof switch was moved pastthe
resista ncepoint andrelea sed,bymoving the
slid ing sunroof switch inany directio n. G
WARNING The
slidingsunroof ismade outofgla ss. Inthe
event ofan accide nt,the glassmay shatter.
This may resul tina no penin gin the roof.
In avehicle rollover, occupants notwearing
their seatbelts ornot wearing themproperly
may bethrown outofthe openin g.Such an
openin galso presen tsapoten tialforinjury for
occ upants wearing theirseatbelts properly,
as ent irebody parts orportion sof them may
protr udefrom thepassenger compartment.
! Only open thesliding sunroof ifit is free
of snow andice.Other wise, malfunc tions
may occur.
Do not allow anythin gto protr udefrom the
sliding sunroof .Othe rwise, the sealscou ld
be dama ged.
! Thewe ath ercan change abruptl y.Itcou ld
sta rtto rain or sno w.Ma kesure tha tthe
sl id ing sunroo fisclosed whenyouleave the
vehicle. Thevehicle electronics canbe
damage difwater enters thevehicle

Resonance
noisescanoccur inaddition
to the usua lairflow noiseswhenthesliding
sunroof isopen. Theyarecaused byminor
pressure fluctuations inthe vehicle interior.
Change theposition ofthe sliding sunroof
or open aside window slightlytoreduce or

automatic operationbyoperatin gthe
switch again.
When opening andraising theroof,
automatic operationisonly available ifthe
sliding sunroof isin the closed position .
The sunprotec tioncover automatic allyopens
along withthesliding sunroof .You can open
or close thesun protec tioncover manually
when thesliding sunroof israised orclosed. Resetting Reset
thesliding sunroof ifit does notmove
smoothly.
X Turn theSmart Keytoposition 1or 2in the
ignition lock.
X Raise thesliding sunroof fullyatthe rear
(Y page 89).
X Keep the2 switch pressed foranother
second.
X Make surethatthesliding sunroof canbe
fully opened andclosed again(Ypage 89).
X Ifthis isnot thecase, repeat thesteps
above again.
! Ifthe sliding sunroof stillcann otbe

increased closingforceorifthe anti-
entr apment featureisdeactivated. Makesure

closing thesliding sunroof.
If the sliding sunroof isobstruct edduring
closing andreopens againslightly:
X Immediately afterthesliding sunroof
blocks, pullthe2 switch inthe
overhead controlpanel downtothe point
of resistance andhold ituntil thesliding
sunroof isclosed.
The sliding sunroof isclosed withincreased
force.
If the sliding sunroof isobstruct edagain
during closing andreopens againslightly:
X Immediately afterthesliding sunroof
blocks, pullthe2 switch inthe
overhead controlpanel downtothe point
of resistance andhold ituntil thesliding
sunroof isclosed.
The sliding sunroof isclosed without the
anti-en trapment feature. G
WARNING Pressing
andholding thesliding sunroof
switch toclose thesliding sunroof
immediately afterithad been blocked two
times willcause thesliding sunroof toclose
without theanti-en trapment featureforas
long asyou hold theswitch.
