If yo
urvehicle has fittings for two-way radio
equipment, use the power supply or aerial
connections intended for use with the basic
wiring. Be sure to observe the manufacturer's
additional instructions whe ninstalling.
Deviations with respect to wavebands, maxi-
mum transmissio noutputs or aerial positions
must be approved by Mercedes -Benz.
The maximu mtransmission outpu t(PEAK) at
the base of the aerial must not exceed the
following values: Waveband Maximum
transmission output Short wave (f
<54MHz) 100 W
4mw
aveband 30 W
2mw
aveband 50 W
Trunked radio/Tetra 35 W
70 cm waveband 35 W
GSM/DCS/PCS
850/900/1800/1900 10 W
UMTS/LTE 10 W
The following can be used in the vehicle with-
out restrictions:
R
RF transmitters with amaximum transmis-
sion output of up to 10 0mW
R mobil ephones (GS M/DCS/PCS/UMTS/

Ther eare no restrictions whe npositioning the
aerial on the outside of the vehicle for the fol-
lowin gwavebands:

Fuel consumption informa tion H
Environmental note
CO 2(carbon dioxide) is the gas which scien-
tists believe to be principally responsible for
global warming (the greenhouse effec t).Y our
vehicle' sCO
2emissions are directly related to
fuel consumption and therefore depend on:
R efficien tuse of the fuel by the engine
R driving style
R other non -technical factors, such as envi-
ronmental influences or road conditions
You can minimise your vehicle's CO 2emis-
sions by driving carefull yand having it serv-
iced regularly.
The vehicle will use more fuel than usua lin
the following situations:
R at very low outside temperatures
R in urban traffic
R on short journeys
R in mountainous terrain
R when towing atrailer
i Only for certain countries :you can find
the curren tconsumption and emission val-
ues of your vehicle in the COC documents
(EU CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMITY). These
documents ar edelivered with your vehicle.
The consumption figures were in each case
based on the curren tlya pplicable version:
R for vehicles that comply with standards
up to and including the EURO 4standard,
in accordance with EU Directive
80/1268/EEC
R for vehicles tha tcompl ywith or exceed
the EUR O5standard ,inaccordanc ewith
Regulatio n(EC )N o. 715/2007
Deviation sfrom thes evalues may occur
under normal operating conditions. AdBlue
®
Important safety notes AdBlue
®
is aw ater-soluble fluid for the
exhaust gas aftertreatmen tofdiesel engines.
It is:
R not poisonous
R colourless and odourless
R not flam mable
When you open the AdBlue ®
container, small
amou ntsofa mmonia vapou rmay be
released.
Ammonia vapours have apungen todour and
are particularly irritatin gtothe skin ,to
mucous membranes and to th eeyes. You may
experie nceab urnin gsensation in your eyes,
nose and throat. Coughing and waterin gof
the eyes are possible.
Do not inhale any ammonia vapours that may
be released. Fill the AdBlue ®
tank only in well-
ventilated areas.
Low outside temperatures AdBlue
®
freezes at atemperatur eofapprox-
imately -11 †. The vehicle is equipped with
an AdBlue ®
preheati ngsyste matt he factory.
Winter operation can therefor ebeguaran-
teed even at temperatures below -11 †.
Additives !
Only use AdBlue ®
in accordance with ISO
22241. Do not use additives with AdBlue ®
and do not dilute AdBlue ®
with water. This
may destroy the BlueTEC exhaust gas after-
treatment system.
Purity !
Impurities in AdBlue ®
(e.g. due to other
servic eproducts, cleaning agents or dust)
lead to:
R increased emissio nvalues
R damage to the catalytic converter Service product
