Elapsed Time
Shows the total elapsed time of travel since the
last reset when the ignition switch is in the ACC
position. Elapsed time will increment when the
ignition switch is in the ON or START position.
To Reset The Display
Reset will only occur while a resettable function
is being displayed. Press and release the SE-
LECT button once to clear the resettable func-
tion being displayed.
UnitsPress and release the UP or DOWN button until
“Units” displays highlighted in the EVIC and
press the SELECT button. The EVIC, odometer,
and navigation system (if equipped) can be
changed between English and Metric units of
measure. To make your selection, scroll up or
down until the preferred setting is highlighted,
then press and release the SELECT button until
a check-mark appears next to the setting,
showing that the setting has been selected.
Vehicle Info
(Customer Information Features)
Press and release the UP or DOWN button until
“Vehicle Info” displays highlighted in the EVIC
and press the SELECT button. Press the UP
and DOWN button to scroll through the avail-
able information displays, then press SELECT
to display any one of the following choices.
•Oil Temp (If Equipped)
Displays the actual oil temperature.
• Oil Pressure (If Equipped)
Displays the actual oil pressure.
• Coolant Temp
Displays the actual coolant temperature.
• Trans Temperature
Displays the actual transmission temperature
when the shift lever is in the Drive position. •
Engine Hours
Displays the number of hours of engine opera-
tion.
Tire PSI or Tire KPA
Press and release the UP or DOWN button until
“Tire PSI” or “Tire KPA” displays highlighted in
the EVIC and press the SELECT button. Press
and release the UP/DOWN buttons until one of
the following System Status messages displays
in the EVIC:
• System OK
• System Warnings Displayed (will display all
currently active System Warnings)

•Tire Pressure Monitor System (shows the
current pressure of all four road tires). For
additional information, refer to “Tire Pressure
Monitor System” in “Starting And Operating”. NOTE:
•
Tires heat up during normal driving con-
ditions. Heat will cause the tire pressure
to increase from 2 to 6 psi (14 to 41 KPA)
during normal driving conditions. Refer to
“Tires-General Information/Tire Inflation
Pressures” in “Starting And Operating”
for additional information.
• Your system can be set to display pres-
sure units in PSI, KPA.
Keyless Enter-N-Go Display — If
Equipped
When the ENGINE START/STOP button is
pressed to change ignition switch positions, the
Keyless Enter-N-Go icon momentarily appears
in the lower right corner of the EVIC display
showing the new ignition switch position.
Refer to “Keyless Enter-N-Go” in “Starting And
Operating” for more information.
NOTE:
Under certain conditions, the display may be
superseded by another display of higher pri-
ority. But when the ignition switch position is
changed, the display always re-appears.
Compass / Temperature DisplayThe compass readings indicate the direction
the vehicle is facing. The EVIC will display one
of eight compass readings and the outside
temperature.
NOTE:
The system will display the last known out-
side temperature when starting the vehicle
and may need to be driven several minutes
before the updated temperature is dis-
played. Engine temperature can also affect
the displayed temperature; therefore, tem-
perature readings are not updated when the
vehicle is not moving.

To provide you with maximum comfort in the
Automatic mode, during cold start-ups the
blower fan will remain on low until the engine
warms up. The blower will increase in speed
and transition into Auto mode.
Manual Operation
This system offers a full complement of manual
override features.
NOTE:
Each of these features operate indepen-
dently from each other. If any one feature is
controlled manually, temperature control
will continue to operate automatically. There are seven fixed
blower speeds. Use
the outer dial control
to regulate the amount
of air forced through
the system in any
mode you select. The
blower speed in-
creases as you move
the control clockwise
and decreases when you move the control
counter-clockwise. The blower fan speed can be set to any fixed
speed by adjusting the blower control outer
dial. The fan will now operate at a fixed speed
until additional speeds are selected. This al-
lows the front occupants to control the volume
of air circulated in the vehicle and cancel the
Auto mode.
The operator can also select the direction of the
airflow by selecting one of the following posi-
tions.
Panel Mode
Air comes from the outlets in the instru-
ment panel. Each of these outlets can be
individually adjusted to direct the flow of
air. The air vanes of the center outlets and
outboard outlets can be moved up and down or
side to side to regulate airflow direction. There
is a shut off wheel located below the air vanes
to shut off or adjust the amount of airflow from
these outlets.
Bi-Level Mode Air comes from the instrument panel
outlets, floor outlets and defrost outlets. NOTE:
In many temperature positions, the BI-
LEVEL mode is designed to provide cooler
air out of the panel outlets and warmer air
from the floor outlets.
Floor Mode
Air comes from the floor outlets. A slight
amount of air is directed through the
defrost and side window demister out-
lets.
Mix Mode Air comes from the floor, defrost and
side window demist outlets. This mode
works best in cold or snowy conditions.
It allows you to stay comfortable while
keeping the windshield clear.
Defrost Mode Air comes from the windshield and side
window demist outlets. Use Defrost
mode with maximum temperature set-
tings for best windshield and side window
defrosting. When the defrost mode is selected,
the blower will automatically default to medium-
high unless the blower is controlled manually.

Summer Operation
NOTE:
In some cases during high temperature
trailer tow operation the Air Conditioning
system performance may be reduced. This
is to help protect the engine from overheat-
ing during the high load condition.
Your air conditioning system is also equipped
with an automatic recirculation system. Whenthe system senses a heavy load or high heat
conditions, it may use partial Recirculation A/C
mode to provide additional comfort.
Winter Operation
When operating the system during the winter
months, make sure the air intake, located di-
rectly in front of the windshield, is free of ice,
slush, snow, or other obstructions.
Vacation Storage
Anytime you store your vehicle, or keep it out of
service (i.e. vacation) for two weeks or more,
run the air conditioning system at idle for about
five minutes in the fresh air and high blower
setting. This will ensure adequate system lubri-
cation to minimize the possibility of compressor
damage when the system is started again.
