Programming
)Turn dial 1to the "CRUISE"
position: thecruise control mode is selected but is not switched on (Pause).)Set the programmed speed by accelerating
to the required speed, then press button 2
or 3(e.g.: 70 mph (11 0 k m / h)); the cruise control system is activated (ON).
You can then chan
ge the programmed speed using buttons 2
and 3
:


- by + or - 1 mph (km/h) = shor t press,

- in steps of + or - 5 mph (km/h) = maintained press.
If storing speeds is available and activated on your vehicle, the programmed speed will stop at the closest stored speed; refer to thecorresponding section. )Stop the cruise control system by pressing button 4
: this is confirmed in the screen (Pause).
)Switch on the cruise control again with another press on button 4 .




Exceeding the programmed speed

Intentional or unintentional exceeding of the programmed speed results in
flashing of this speed in the screen.
Return to the programmed speed, by means of intentional or unintentional
deceleration of the vehicle, automatically cancels the flashing of the speed.


Exiting cruise control mode
)Turn dial 1to the "0"
position: the cruise control mode is deselected.
It disappears from the screen.



Operating fault

In the event of a cruise control malfunction,
the speed is cleared resulting in flashing of the dashes.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or a
qualified workshop.

When the cruise control is switched on,be careful if you maintain the pressure on one of the programmed speed changing buttons: this may result in a very rapid change in the speed of your vehicle. Do not use the cruise control on slipperyroads or in heavy traffic. On a steep descent, the cruise control willnot be able to prevent the vehicle from exceeding the programmed speed. On steep climbs or when towing, the programmed speed may not be reached or maintained.
To a v o i d a ny risk of jamming of the pedals:


- ensure that the mat is positioned correctly,

- never fit one mat on top of another.

Changing a wiper blade


Before removing a front

)Within one minute after switching off
the ignition, operate the wiper stalk toposition the wiper blades ver tically on the
windscreen.

Removing
)Raise the corresponding wiper arm.)Unclip the wiper blade and remove it.
Fitting
)
Put the corresponding new wiper blade in
place and clip it.
) Fold down the wiper arm carefully.
After fitting a front wiper
blade
)
Switch on the ignition. )
Operate the wiper stalk again to park the
wiper blades.










Very cold climate screen * Removable protective screen which prevents
the accumulation of snow at the radiator
cooling fan.

Fitting
)
Offer up the very cold climate screen to
the front of the lower section of the frontbumper. ) Press around its edge to engage its fixingclips one by one.



Removal
)
Use a screwdriver as a lever to releaseeach fixing clip in turn.

Do not forget to remove the very coldclimate screen:


- when the ambient temperature exceeds 10 °C,

- when towing,

- at speeds above 75 mph (120 km/h).

Towing the vehicle
Procedure for having your vehicle towed or for towing another vehicle using a removable towing eye.

The towing eye is installed in the boot under
the floor.
To
gain access to it: )open the boot, )raise the floor,)secure it by hooking its cord on the hook on
the rear parcel shelf suppor t,
)remove the towing eye from the holder.

recommendations
Obser ve the legislation in force in your country. Ensure that the weight of the towing vehicle is higher than that of the towedvehicle.The driver must stay at the wheel of thetowed vehicle. Driving on motorways and fast roads is prohibited when towing.When towing a vehicle with all four wheels on the ground, always use an approved towing bar; rope and straps are prohibited. When towing a vehicle with the engine off, there is no longer any power assistance for braking or steering.

In the following cases, you must always callon a professional recovery service:


- vehicle broken down on a motor way or fast road,

- when it is not possible to put the gearbox into neutral, unlock the steering, or releasethe parking brake,

- towing with only two wheels on the ground,

- where there is no approved towing bar available...

)On the front bumper, unclip the cover by pressing at the bottom. )Screw the towing eye in fully. )Install the towing bar.
)On the rear bumper, unclip the cover by pressing at the bottom. )Screw the towing eye in fully. )Install the towing bar. )Switch on the hazard warning lamps on both vehicles.)Move off gently, drive slowly and for a shor t distance.

)Place the gear lever in neutral (position Non the electronic gearbox system or automatic gearbox). Failure to observe this instructioncould result in damage to certain components (braking, transmission...) and the absence of braking assistance the next time the engine is started.

parking brake.) Switch on the hazard warning lamps onboth vehicles. )
Move off gently, drive slowly and for a shor tdistance.

Towing a trailer, ...


Towbar suitable for the attachment of a trailer
with additional lighting and signalling.
Your vehicle is primarily designed for
transporting people and luggage, but it mayalso be used for towing a trailer.
We recommend the use of genuineCITROËN towbars and their harnesses that have been tested and approved from the design stage of your vehicle, and that the fitting of the towbar is entrusted to a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.If the towbar is not fitted by a CITROËNdealer, it is imperative that it is fitted in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer's instructions.
Driving with a trailer places greater demands
on the towing vehicle and the driver must take particular care.

The rear parking sensors will be deactivated automatically if a genuine CITROËN towbar is used.

Driving advice
Distribution of loads
)Distribute the load in the trailer so that theheaviest items are as close as possible to
the axle and the nose weight approaches the maximum permitted without exceeding it.
Air density decreases with altitude, thus reducing engine per formance. Above
1 000 metres, the maximum towed load must
be reduced b
y 10 % for every 1 000 metres of altitude.
Refer to the "Technical Data" section for details
of the weights and towed loads which apply to your vehicle.
Side wind
)Take into account the increased sensitivity
to side wind.

Cooling

Towing a trailer on a slope increases the
temperature of the coolant.
As the fan is electrically controlled, its cooling capacity is not dependent on the engine speed.)
To lower the engine speed, reduce your speed.
The maximum towed load on a long inclinedepends on the gradient and the ambient
temperature.
In all cases, keep a check on the coolant
temperature.

Braking

To w i ng a trailer increases the braking distance.
To a v o i d o v e r h e a t i ng of the brakes on a long
mountain type of descent, the use of enginebraking is recommended.


Tyres
)Check the tyre pressures of the towing
vehicle and of the trailer, obser ving the recommended pressures.



Lighting
)Check the electrical lighting and signalling on the trailer.
)If the warning lamp and the
STOP warning lamp come on, stop the vehicle and switch off

he engine as soon as possible.
