Checking levels Check all of these levels regularly and top them up if necessary, unless other wise indicated.
If a level drops significantly, have the corresponding system checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
Never do anything in the compar tmentswhen the "Ready" lamp is on or whenyour vehicle is being charged. Take care when carrying out checks in the front and rear compartments assome parts of the compartments canbe very hot (risk of burns): wait at leastone hour after stopping the motor or the end of the charging procedure beforecarrying out any work.
Brake fluid level
The brake fluid level should be
between the "MIN" and "MAX"
marks. If it is not, check the brake
pad wear.
Changing the fl uid
Refer to the ser vicing booklet for details of
the inter val for this operation.
Fluid specifi cation
The brake fluid must conform to the
manufacturer's recommendations and meet
the DOT4 standard.

Fluid specifi cation
The fluid must conform to the manufacturer's
recommendations. Th
e level of this fluid should be between
the "L" MIN and "F" MA X marks.
Screenwash fluid level
Top up the level when necessary.
Fluid specifi cation
For optimum cleaning and to avoid freezing,
this fluid must not be topped up or replaced
with plain water.

Checks
120
The coolant level should be between
the MIN "L" and MA X "F" marks.
Coolant level
Avoid prolonged contact of used fluids with the skin.
Most of these fluids are harmful tohealth and some are very corrosive.
Do not discard used fluids into sewers or onto the ground.
Take used fluids to a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop (France) or toan authorised waste disposal site.

Changing the coolant
The coolant does not have to be changed.
Coolant specifi cation
The coolant must conform to the
manufacturer's recommendations.
As the coolin
g system is pressurised, wait at least one hour after switching off the motor and/
or the end of the charge cycle before carryingout any work.
To a v o i d a ny risk of scalding, unscrew the cap by two turns to allow the pressure to drop.
When the pressure has dropped, remove the cap and top up the level.
Ancillaries battery
electrolyte level
Remove the battery protective cover to checkthis level (see § "ancillaries battery").
The electrolyte level should be between theMIN "LOWER LEVEL" and MA X "UPPER LEVEL".
If necessary, top up using distilled water byremoving the individual battery caps.
Check the electrolyte level at least onceper month.

Checks
Unless other wise indicated, check these components in accordance with the ser vicing booklet.
Other wise, have them checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
Passenger compartment filter
Refer to the ser vicing booklet for
details of the replacement inter vals
f
or this filter.
Depending on the environment (e.g. dusty atmosphere) and the use of the
vehicle (e.g. city driving), replace it twice as often if necessar y.y A dirty passenger compartment filter may have
an adverse effect on the performance of the air conditioning system and generate undesirableodours.
Brake wear depends on the style
o
f driving, par ticularly in the case
of vehicles used in town, over shor t
distances. It ma
y be necessary tohave the condition of the brakes checked, evenbetween vehicle services.
Unless there is a leak in the circuit, a drop in
the brake fluid level indicates that the brake
pads are worn.
Brake pads
Only use products recommended by CITROËN or products of equivalent quality and specifications. In order to optimise the operationof units as impor tant as the braking system, CITROËN selects and offers very specific products.
Parking brake
If a loss of effectiveness of thissystem is noticed, the parking brakemust be checked, even between
two services.
This system must be checked by a CITROËN
dealer or a qualified workshop.
Brake disc / drum wear
For information on checking the
brake disc or drum wear, contact
a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
workshop.

Identifi cation markings
Various visible markings for the identification of your vehicle.
A. Ser vice - Replacement Par ts
identification plate.
This plate is riveted to the underside of thebonnet.
Tyre pressures must be checkedwhen the tyres are cold, at least oncea month.
Low tyre pressures increase the
electrical power consumption of your vehicle, which reduces its range. B. Tyre identification label
.This label is affixed to the driver's centre pillar.
It bears the
following information:
- the tyre pressures (in bars),
- the tyre specification,
- the type of tyre.C. Manufacturer's
plate This plate is riveted to the left hand centre pillar.
D. Vehicle identification number (VIN).
This number is is engraved on the inner wheel
arch, inside the boot, right hand side.
For information on fitting snowchains, contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
It bears in par ticular the
following information:
- the vehicle model,
- the paint code,
- the type, variant, version.
