Battery
General information •

teryismaintenance-free.
Havethebatterycheckedwhenyoutakeyour
vehicle

Disconnecting thebattery terminaIs
Somevehiclefunctions(powerwindowregu
lators,forexample)arelostifthebatteryter
minalsaredisconnected.Thesefunctionshave
toberelearnedafterthebatteryterminalsare
connectedagain.Topreventthis,thebattery
shouldonly bedisconnectedfromthevehicle
electricalsystemwhenabsolutelynecessary
for repairs.
Vehicles notdriven forlong periods
Ifyouaregoingtoletyourvehiclestandfora
longtimeandnotdriveit,youshouldremern
berthereareelectricalcomponentswhich are~
stillfunctioningandtheywilldrawenergy
fromthebatteryanddrain it,forexample,the
engine immobilizer.Topreventthis,youcan

Winter operation
During
thewintermonths,batterycapacity
tendstodecreaseastemperaturesdrop. This
isbecausemorepowerisaLsoconsumedwhile
starting,andtheheadlights,rearwindow de
fogger,
etc.,areusedmoreoften.
Avoidunnecessarypowerconsumption,par
ticularly
incity traffic orwhentraveling only

batterywillnotonlypreventstarting
problems whentheweatheriscold,butwill

Replacing battery
Thenewbatterymusthavethesamecapaci
