Número da viscosidade SAE recomendada A viscosidade (espessura) do óleo do
motor afecta a economia de combustível
e o funcionamento com o tempo frio
(arranque e fluxo do óleo). Os óleos do
motor de menor viscosidade permitem
melhores níveis de economia de
combustível e de performance com o
tempo frio, mas os óleos de maior
viscosidade são necessários para obter
uma boa lubrificação com o tempo
quente.A utilização de óleos com uma
viscosidade diferente das recomendadas
pode causar danos no motor.
Ao escolher um óleo, tenha em conta o
intervalo térmico a que o seu veículo
será sujeito antes da próxima mudança
do óleo.Seleccione um óleo com umaviscosidade recomendada consultando atabela.
ATENÇÃO
Lembre-se sempre de limpar a zona
em torno de um bocal deenchimento ou escoamento ou de
uma vareta antes de verificar onível ou efectuar o escoamento deum lubrificante.
Este procedimento é especialmenteimportante em zonas poeirentas ou
arenosas e se o veículo circular em estradas sem pavimento. A limpezado bocal e da zona da varetaimpedirá a entrada de sujidade e
impurezas no motor e noutrosmecanismos que podem sofrerdanos.

,5W-30 (API SL ou SM/ ILSAC GF-3).
Contudo, se o óleo do motor não estiver disponível no seu país, escolha um óleo de motor
apropriado consultando a tabela de viscosidades do óleo de motor.
