This Owner Handbook describes all Fiat Strada versions. As a consequence, you should
only consider the information which is related to the trim level, engine and
version that you have purchased.

PERSONAL
ADJUSTMENTS
SEATS Lengthwise adjustment
Raise the lever A-fig. 10 and push
the seat forwards or backwards: in
driving position your arms should be
slightly bent and your hands should
rest on the rim of the steering
wheel.
After releasing the adjustment lever
always check that the seat is locked
into place by trying to move it back
and forth. Failure to lock the seat
could cause it to move and detach
from the guides.
All adjustments must be
made only with the
vehicle stationary.
WARNING
Do not remove the
seats or attempt to
service and/or repair them:
operations which are carried
out incorrectly may
compromise the operation of
the safety devices; always
contact a Fiat Dealership.

Turn knob B-fig. 11 until the desired
backrest inclination is achieved.

Service (Scheduled Servicing)
The display allows the distance
before Scheduled Servicing
(“coupon”) provided by Fiat
Dealerships is due to be shown, in
kilometres or miles (depending on
the previous setting).
To view this indication, proceed as
follows:
– press the MODE button briefly:
the display shows the distance
before servicing is required in
kilometres or miles (depending on
the previous setting);
– press the ▼or ▲button to view
the remaining distance;
– hold down the MODE button to
return to the standard display.Note The “Scheduled Servicing Plan”
includes vehicle maintenance every
35,000 km; with key at MAR-ON,
this is shown automatically when
there are 2,000 km until the next
“coupon” and reappears every 200
km.
When scheduled servicing
approaches and the ignition key is
turned to MAR-ON, the
õicon will
appear on the display followed by
the number of kilometres before the
next Scheduled Servicing operation.
Contact a Fiat Dealership, where the
operations in the “Scheduled
servicing plan” will be performed
and the message will be reset.

VEHICLE MAINTENANCE section. Button Vol.
(button volume level)
This function allows the volume of
the sound that accompanies MODE,
▼and ▲button presses to be set. It
can be adjusted along an eight-point
scale (from 0 to 7).
To set the desired level, proceed as
follows:
– press the MODE button briefly:
the level (depending on the
previous setting) flashes on the
display;
– press the ▼or ▲button to
select;
– press the MODE button briefly to
confirm;
– hold down the MODE button to
return to the standard display.

IMPORTANT Traffic control
authorities may not allow the vehicle
on the road if devices resulting in
modifications of vehicle
characteristics are installed and
defects due to the above mentioned
modification or either directly or
indirectly related to it may invalidate
the warranty. Fiat Auto F.G.A. shall
not be liable for damage caused by
the installation of accessories either
not supplied or recommended by
Fiat Auto F.G.A. and/or not installed
in compliance with the instructions
provided.For connection to the
set-up supplied in the
vehicle, contact a Fiat
Dealership to prevent any
problem that could impair
vehicle safety and/or invalidate
the warranty.INSTALLING
ELECTRICAL/
ELECTRONIC DEVICES
The electrical/electronic devices
installed subsequent to the purchase
of the car and included in the after-
sales service must be marked:
Fiat Auto F.G.A. authorises the
installation of transceiver devices on
condition that such installations are
carried out in a workmanlike fashion,
following the manufacturer’s
instructions, at a specialised centre.

If a general protection
fuse (MEGA-FUSE,
MIDI-FUSE) is activated,
contact a Fiat Dealership.
WARNING
Before replacing a fuse,
make sure that the
ignition key has been removed
and that all the other services
are switched off and/or
deactivated.

If a general protection
fuse for safety systems
(airbag system, braking
system), power unit systems
(engine system, transmission
system) or steering system
blows, contact a Fiat
Dealership.
WARNING
Refer to the tables on the following
pages to identify the protective fuse.
Never replace a blown
fuse with metal wires or
other material.

blows again, contact a

VEHICLE MAINTENANCE
SCHEDULED SERVICING
Correct servicing is essential for
ensuring long vehicle life under the
best conditions.
This is why Fiat has planned a series
of checks and services every 35,000
km.
It is, however, important to
remember that scheduled servicing
does not completely cover all the
requirements of the vehicle: even in
the initial period before 35,000 km,
and then subsequently, between one
service and another, ordinary care is
always required such as routine
checks involving topping up fluid
levels, checking tyre pressures etc.IMPORTANT Scheduled Servicing
coupons are required by the
Manufacturer.
Failure to comply with the schedule
may invalidate the warranty.
Scheduled Servicing can be carried
out by any Fiat Dealership, at pre-
established times.If during each operation, in addition
to those scheduled, the need arises
for further replacements or repairs,
these may only be carried out with
the explicit agreement of the
Customer. IMPORTANT You are
advised to contact a Fiat Dealership
in the event of any minor operating
faults, without waiting for the next
service coupon.
If the vehicle is used frequently for
towing, the interval between
scheduled servicing must be
reduced.
