Access to the spare wheel

The spare wheel is suppor ted by a cable-driven carrier underneath the vehicle.
Ta k i ng out the wheel
)
Raise the floor to reveal the spare wheelcarrier drive nut.)
Turn this drive nut fully clockwise, using
the wheelbrace 1and the extension 8,
to unwind the carrier cable.
) Detach the wheel from the rear of the
vehicle. ) Remove the hook with its connectionplate to release the wheel, as shown in
the illustration.) Pull out the wheel.

Putting the wheel back in place
)Pass the hook with its connection plate into
the wheel, as illustrated.) Raise the wheel underneath the vehicle byturning the carrier drive nut anticlockwiseusing the wheelbrace 1and the extension 8
.
)Tighten fully and check that the wheel is horizontally flush against the floor.

Removing a wheel

Parking the vehicle

Immobilise the vehicle where it does notblock traffic: the ground must be level, stable and not slippery. Apply the parking brake unless it has been programmed to automatic mode, switch off the ignition and engage firstgear *
to block the wheels. Check that the braking warning lamp and the Pwarning lamp in the parkingbrake control lever come on.
The occupants must get out of the vehicle and wait where they are safe.
Never go underneath a vehicle raised using a jack; use an axle stand.

Depending on equipment, remove the cover from from each of bolts using the tool 3
or removethe hub cap using tool 4
. )
Fit the security socket 5
on the wheelbrace 1
to slacken the security bolt (if fitted).)
Slacken the other bolts (no more than a 1/4 turn) using the wheelbrace 1
only.

)Place the jack 2 in contact with one of the
two front A or rear Blocations provided on
the underbody, whichever is closest to the
wheel to be chan
ged.
)Raise the vehicle until there is sufficientspace between the wheel and the ground
to admit the spare (not punctured) wheel easily.)Remove the bolts and store them in a clean place. )Remove the wheel.
) Extend the jack 2
until its base plate is incontact with the ground. Ensure that the centreline of the jack base plate is directlybelow the location Aor B
used.

Fitting a wheel
Fitting the "space-saver"spare wheel
If your vehicle is fitted with alloy wheels, when tightening the bolts on fitting,it is normal to notice that the washersdo not come into contact with the "space-saver" spare wheel. The wheel is secured by the conical surface of each bolt.
After changing a wheel
To c o r r e c t ly store the punctured wheelin the boot ( not in the location of the space-saver wheel ), first remove the central cover. When using the "space-saver" typespare wheel, do not exceed 50 mph(80 km/h). Have the tightening of the bolts and thepressure of the spare wheel checkedby a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
workshop without delay. Have the punctured wheel repaired and refitted to the vehicle as soon as possible.

Screw in the bolts fully by hand.)
Pre-tighten the security bolt using the
wheelbrace 1fitted with the security socket 5.) Pre-tighten the other bolts using
the wheelbrace 1 only.

)Lower the vehicle fully. )Fold the jack 2 and detach it. )
Tighten the security bolt using the
wheelbrace 1 fitted with the securitysocket 5.)
Tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.)
Refit the bolt covers on each of the bolts or
the hub cap (depending on equipment). ) Store the tools in the box.

Raise the corresponding wiper arm. )
Unclip the wiper blade and remove it.



Fitting

Put the corresponding new wiper blade in
place and clip it.) Fold down the wiper arm carefully.

Operate the wiper stalk again to park the
wiper blades.







Recovering the
vehicle on
a fl at-bed


Procedure for having your vehicle recovered on
a flat bed lorry or trailer.
Always recover the vehicle on a flat bed lorry or trailer.Never tow the vehicle with the four wheels on the ground (or the front or rear wheels only), you risk damaging the transmission.Place the gear lever in position N and switch off the engine ( Ready
lamp off).
)Within one minute after switching off
the ignition, operate the wiper stalk to position the wiper blades ver tically on
the windscreen.

Towing a trailer, ...


Towbar suitable for the attachment of a trailer
with additional lighting and signalling.
Your vehicle is primarily designed for
transporting people and luggage, but it mayalso be used for towing a trailer.

When not towing a trailer, remove thequickly-detachable tow ball beforedriving, so as to avoid masking the
central rear lamp.
Maximum trailer weight
You must not tow a trailer weighing more
than 500 k
g.







Vehicle recovery
Before doing any work, with the ignition on, press the brake pedal and put the gear lever inposition N
, then switch off the hybrid system.
Th
e front or rear wheels must not be on the ground, use a flat-bed lorry or trailer to recover
the vehicle.
Use the towing eyes only to pull avehicle out or to pull it onto a flat-bed. If necessary because access to thevehicle is difficult, it can be moved a few dozen metres at a speed not exceeding6 mph (10 km/h).
