The high voltage battery must not in anycircumstances be charged from an externalsource and must only be handled by a
workshop technician.
There is the risk o
f serious burns, as well as electric arcs that could cause serious injury or
even death.
A used Ni-MH (Nickel Metal Hydride) type
high voltage battery must be removed in an
appropriate manner by a repair workshop,so that its recycling presents no risk to the environment.

High voltage


The voltage used for the operation of theelectric motor is in the range 150 to 270 Volts.
Be sure to take account of the warning labels
fitted to the vehicle.
Ta k e great care regarding the high voltage and high temperatures of components carrying thecurrent.
Emergency cut-off
In the event of an accident, a cut-off system
blocks the high voltage current and cuts off
the fuel pump; your vehicle can no longer be started.To restar t the hybrid system, contact aCITROËN dealer.

gh voltage cables are routed under the
vehicle (sills); ensure that the vehicle is not
used for off-road activity (such as coveringrough ground) which could damage them.
Be
fore doing any work on the vehicle, switch off the ignition (Readylamp off).

Take care to position lifting equipment (jack, hoist, ...) at the locations provided to avoid damaging the cables.

Never touch, dismantle, remove or replace the high voltage par ts, cables (orange in colour) or connectors, even in the event of an accident.

Do not throw the remote control batteries away, they contain metalswhich are harmful to the environment. Take them to an approved collectionpoint.
Changing the battery of
the electronic key
Battery ref.: CR2032/3 volts.
This replacement battery is available from a
CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
A message appears in the instrument panel
screen when replacement o
f the battery is needed. ) Unclip the cover using a small screwdriver at the cutout. )
Lift off the cover. )
Remove the flat battery from its location.)
Fit the new battery into its location
observing the original direction of fitment.) Clip the cover onto the casing.
Remote control problem -
reinitialisation

Following disconnection of the vehicle battery,
replacement of the remote control battery or
in the event of a remote control malfunction,
you can no longer unlock, lock or locate your
v
ehicle.
)Place the mechanical key (integral with theremote control) in the lock to unlock your
vehicle.)Place the electronic key in the reader.)Switch on the ignition by pressing STA R T/STOP.
The electronic key is fully operational again.
If the problem persists, contact a CITROËN
dealer or a qualified workshop as soon as
possible.

In an emergency, press this button for more than 2 seconds.
Flashing of the green LED and a voice message confirm that
the call has been made to the CITROËN Emergency team * .
Pressin
g this button again immediately cancels the request. The green LEDgoes off.
A press (at any time) of more than 8 seconds on this button, cancels the request.
CITROËN LOCALISED ASSISTANCE CALL

When the ignition is switched on, the green
LED comes on for 3 seconds indicating that
the system is operating correctly.

If the oran
ge LED flashes: there is a system fault.
If the orange LED is on continuously: thebackup battery must be replaced.
In either case, contact a CITROËN dealer. Pressin
g this button again immediately cancels the request.
The cancellation is confirmed by a voice message.
Press this button
for more than 2 seconds to request assistance if the vehicle breaks down.A voice message confirms that the call has been made *

OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM The green LED remains on (without flashing) when communication is
established. It goes off at the end of communication.
If
you purchased your vehicle outside the CITROËN dealer network, we
invite you to have a dealer check the configuration of these ser vices and, if
desired, modified to suit your wishes. In a multi-lingual country, configuration
is possible in the official national language of your choice. This call is dealt with b
y the CITROËN Emergency team which receiveslocating information from the vehicle and can send a detailed aler t to theappropriate emergency services. In countries in which the team is not
operational, or when the locating service has been expressly declined, thecall is dealt with directly by the emergency services (112) without the vehicle location.

f an impact is detected by the airbag control unit, and independently of the deployment of any airbags, an emergency call is made
automatically.
