Stop & Start


Engine going into STOP mode

e "ECO"warning lamp comes on in
the instrument panel and the engine is automatically put into standby:


- with a manual
gearbox;
at speeds below
12 mph (20 km/h), when you put the gear
lever into neutral and release the clutchpedal, -with the 6-speed electronic gearbox
system;at speeds below 5 mph (8 km/h),
when you press the brake pedal or put the
gear lever in position N.
Engine going into START mode

Deactivation/Reactivation
You can deactivate the system at any time bypressing the "ECO OFF"
button; the button’s
warning lamp comes on.

The system is reactivated automatically every time you start the engine withthe key.


Before refuelling or doing anything under the bonnet, you must switch off the ignition with the key. Th
e "ECO"
warning lamp goes off
and the engine restarts automatically:
-
with a manual gearbox;when you fullydepress the clutch pedal, -
with the 6-speed electronic gearboxsystem;

with the gear lever in position A
or M ,
when you release the brake pedal,

In certain circumstances the ST
OP mode may not be available; the "ECO"warning lamp
flashes for a few seconds then goes off.In certain condition, START mode may engageautomatically; the "ECO"

Blind spot sensors

Visual indicators which inform the driver of theoccurrence of a malfunction (warning lamp)or of the operation of a system (operation or
deactivation indicator lamp).
Warning and indicator lamps
When the ignition is switched on
Certain warning lamps come on for a few
seconds when the ignition is switched on. When the engine is started, these warninglamps should go off.
If they remain on, before moving off, refer to the information on the warning lamp in question.

Associated warnings

The illumination, fixed or flashing, of cer tain
warning lamps may be accompanied by
an audible signal and a message in the
multifunction screen or in the type 2 instrument
panel central screen.

When the engine is running or the vehicle is
being driven, the illumination of one of the following warning lamps indicates a malfunction
which requires action on the par t of the driver.
The warning comes on in the instrument panel
or appears in the t
ype 2 instrument panel central screen.
If your vehicle has a screen, a warning lamp coming on is always accompanied by the display of an additional message, to assist you in identifying the problem.If you encounter any problems, do not hesitate to contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
workshop.

STOP

another warning lamp,
accompanied by an

message in the screen. Illumination o
f this warning lamp is
associated with a serious brakingsystem, power steering, enginelubrication or cooling system
malfunction or a punctured tyre.
Stop as soon as it is safe to do so as there is a risk that
the engine will cut out while driving.
Park, switch off the ignition and contact a CITROËN
dealer or a qualified workshop.
Maximum coolanttemperature
fixed red. The temperature of the cooling system is too high. Stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
Wait until the engine has cooled down before toppingup the level, if necessary.
If the problem persists, contact a CITROËN dealer or qualified workshop.
Engine oil pressure
fixed. There is a fault with the enginelubrication system. You must stop as soon it is safe to do so.
Park, switch off the ignition and contact a CITROËN
dealer or a qualified workshop.

Battery chargefixed. The battery charging circuit has a fault(dir ty or loose terminals, slack or cut
alternator belt, ...).The warnin
g lamp should go off when the engine isstarted.
If it does not go off, contact a CITROËN dealer or aqualified workshop.

the STOP warninglamp. The brakin
g system fluid level has
dropped significantly. You must stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
Top up with brake fluid recommended by CITROËN.
If the problem persists, have the system checked by a
CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

the electric parkin
gbrake malfunctionwarning lamp, if the parking brake isreleased. The brakin
g system has a fault. You must stop as soon as it is safe to do so. Park, switch off the ignition and contact a CITROËN
dealer or a qualified workshop.

STOP and ABSwarning lamps. Th
e electronic brake force distribution (EBFD) system has a fault. You must stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

Electric parkingbrake flashing. The application or release of theelectric parking brake was interrupted. You must stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
Park on level ground, switch off the ignition and contact

signal. The driver or
front passenger has notbuckled or has unbuckled their seatbelt. Pull on the belt in question and inser t the tongue in
the buckle.
This warning repeats the seat belt information given by the roof console warning lamps. At least one rear passenger hasunbuckled their seat belt.
