MONOCHROME SCREEN B
This enables the following information
to be displayed:
- time,
- date,
- a m b i e n t t e m p e r a t u r e * ( t h i s fl a s h e s when it is between -3 and 3 °C),
- status of the doors. The display shows you, by means of a graphic,
whether a door is open,
- warning messages (e.g. ''battery charge fault'') or information mes-
sages (e.g. "fuel level low''), dis-
played temporarily, can be cleared
by pressing button 1 or 2 ,
- trip computer. Setting the parameters
Press button
1 for two seconds to access
t h e s e t t i n g s . T h e i n f o r m a t i o n fl a s h e s t o
s h o w i t i s r e a d y t o b e m o d i fi e d .
Then, individual presses on button 1
allow you to scroll through the various
data in the following sequence:
- language in which the information is displayed,
- unit of distance (kms or miles),
- unit of temperature (degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit),
- time format (12 then 24 hour mode),
- hour,
- minutes,
- year,
- month,
- day.
Pressing button 2 allows you to change
the information selected. Maintain the
pressure for rapid scrolling.
After 7 seconds without operation, the
screen returns to the normal display
a n d t h e m o d i fi e d d a t a i s r e c o r d e d .
Note: Pressing button 2 b r i e fl y d i s p l a y s t h e
outside temperature for a few seconds.
When the ambient temperature is be-
tween -3° and 3 °C, the temperature
display takes priority over the time on
the screen.

DIRECTION INDICATORS
Lower the lighting stalk when mov-
ing to the left.
Raise the lighting stalk when mov-
ing to the right.
HAZARD WARNING LAMPS
Press this button, the direction indi-
c a t o r s fl a s h .
They can operate with the ignition off.
Automatic operation of hazard
warning lamps
When braking in an emergency, de-
pending on the deceleration, the hazard
warning lamps come on automatically.
T h e y s w i t c h o f f a u t o m a t i c a l l y t h e fi r s t
time you accelerate.
You can also switch them off by
pressing the button.
Press one of the spokes of the steer-
ing wheel.
Use the horn moderately and only
in the following cases:
- immediate danger,
- overtaking a cyclist or pedes- trian
- when approaching an area where there is no visibility.
Audible warning to alert other road users
to an imminent danger.
Selection of the left or right direction in-
dicators to signal a change of direction
of the vehicle. A visual warning by means of the direc-
tion indicators to alert other road users to
a vehicle breakdown, towing or accident.

Anti-theft system
T h e a u d i o e q u i p m e n t i s c o d e d i n s u c h
a way that it can only operate in your
v e h i c l e . I t w o u l d n o t w o r k i f fi t t e d i n a n -
other vehicle.
The anti-theft system is automatic
and requires no action on your part.
Press button C to increase the audio
e q u i p m e n t v o l u m e o r b u t t o n B to de-
crease it.
A continuous press of buttons B and C
adjusts the volume gradually.
AUDIO SETTINGS
Press button G several
times in succession to
access the bass (BASS) ,
treble (TREB) , loudness
(LOUD) , fader (FAD) ,
balance (BAL) and auto-
matic volume correction
settings.
Exit from audio mode is automatic after
a few seconds without any action or by
pressing button G f o l l o w i n g c o n fi g u r a -
tion of the automatic volume correction. Adjusting the bass
When "BASS" is dis-
played, press button H or
I to change the setting.
- "BASS -9" for a min-
imum bass setting,
- "BASS 0" for a stan-
dard setting,
- "BASS +9" for a maximum bass
setting.
Adjusting the treble
When "TREB" is displayed, press but-
ton H or I to change the setting.
- "TREB -9" for a minimum treble set-
ting,
- "TREB 0" for a standard setting,
- "TREB +9" for a maximum treble
setting.
Adjusting the loudness (LOUD)
This function automatically emphasises
bass and treble tones.
Press button H or I to switch the func-
tion on or off.
Note: bass, treble and loudness settings
a r e s p e c i fi c t o e a c h s o u r c e . T h e y c a n b e
set differently for the radio or CD.
The audio equipment can operate for
30 minutes without the ignition being
switched on.
