3. Push the LOCKbutton1on the
Intelligent Key.
4. All the doors, the lift gate and fuel-filler door will lock.
5. The hazard indicator flashes twice and the horn chirps once.
*1: Doors will lock with the Intelligent Key while the ignition switch is in the ACC or ON
position.
*2: Doors will not lock with the Intelligent Key while any door is open.
Unlocking doors and fuel-filler door
1. Push the UNLOCKbutton2on the
Intelligent Key once.
2. The hazard indicator flashes once. The driver’s door and fuel-filler door will un-
lock.
The puddle light and the passenger cabin illu-
mination will illuminate and stay on for a short
period of time.
3. Push the UNLOCKbutton on the
Intelligent Key again within 60 seconds.
4. The hazard indicator flashes once again. All the doors will unlock.
All doors will be locked automatically unless
one of the following operations is performed within 1 minute after pushing the UNLOCK but-
ton on the Intelligent Key while the doors are
locked. If during this 1-minute time period, the
UNLOCK button on the Intelligent Key is
pushed, all doors will be locked automatically
after another 1 minute.

Opening any door
● Pushing the ignition switch
Opening windows
To open the windows, push the door UNLOCK
button on the Intelligent Key for about 3
seconds after the door is unlocked.
To stop opening, release the UNLOCK
button.
Window cannot be closed using the Intelligent
Key.
The door windows can be opened or closed by
turning the mechanical key in a door lock. (See
“DOORS” earlier in this section.)
Using panic alarm
If you are near your vehicle and feel threatened,
you may activate the alarm to call attention as
follows:
1. Push the PANICbutton3on the
Intelligent Key for more than 1 second. 2. The theft warning alarm and headlights
will stay on for 25 seconds.
3. The panic alarm stops when:
● It has run for 25 seconds, or
● Any of the buttons on the Intelligent Key
are pushed. (Note: Panic button should be
pushed for more than 1 second.)
Setting hazard indicator and horn
mode
This vehicle is set in hazard indicator and horn
mode when you first receive the vehicle.
In hazard indicator and horn mode, when the
LOCK
button1is pushed, the hazard
indicator flashes twice and the horn chirps
once. When the UNLOCK
button2is
pushed, the hazard indicator flashes once.
If horns are not necessary, the system can be
switched to the hazard indicator mode.
In hazard indicator mode, when the LOCK
button is pushed, the hazard indicator
flashes twice. When the UNLOCK
button
is pushed, neither the hazard indicator nor the
horn operates.

HOW TO USE INFINITI CONTROLLER
Choose an item on the display using the main
directional buttons

and/or the display will return to the previous

HOW TO USE TOUCH SCREEN (models
with navigation system)
CAUTION
● The glass screen on the liquid crystal display
may break if it is hit with a hard or sharp
object. If the glass breaks, do not touch the
liquid crystalline material, which contains a
small amount of mercury. In case of contact
with skin, wash immediately with soap and
water. ●
To clean the display, use a soft, dry cloth. If
additional cleaning is necessary, use a small
amount of neutral detergent with a soft
cloth. Never use a rough cloth, alcohol, ben-
zine, thinner or any kind of solvent or paper
towel with a chemical cleaning agent. They
will scratch or deteriorate the panel.
● Do not splash any liquid such as water or car
fragrance on the display. Contact with liquid
will cause the system to malfunction.
To ensure safe driving, some functions cannot
be operated while driving.
The on-screen functions that are not available
while driving will be “grayed out” or muted.
Park the vehicle in a safe location and then
operate the navigation system.
WARNING
● ALWAYS give your full attention to driving.
● Avoid using vehicle features that could dis-
tract you. If distracted, you could lose con-
trol of your vehicle and cause an accident.
Touch screen operation
With this system, the same operations as those
for the INFINITI controller are possible using the
touch screen operation.
Selecting the item :
Touch an item to select it. To select the “Audio”
settings, touch the “Audio” area

2. Turn the temperature control dial to setthe desired temperature.
●To quickly remove ice from the outside of the
windows, push the fan speed increase but-
ton “
” and set it to the maximum
position.
● As soon as possible after the windshield is
clean, push the “AUTO” button to return to
the auto mode.
● When the “
” front defroster button is
pushed, the air conditioner will automati-
cally be turned on at outside temperatures
above 23°F (5°C) to defog the windshield,
and the air recirculate mode will automati-
cally be turned off.
Outside air is drawn into the passenger
compartment to improve the defogging per-
formance.
Manual operation
Fan speed control :
Push the fan speed increase “

” buttons to manually control the
fan speed.
Push the “AUTO” button to return to automatic
control of the fan speed. Air recirculation :
Push the intake air control button to recirculate
interior air inside the vehicle. The indicator light
on the “
” side will illuminate.
The air recirculation mode cannot be activated
when the air conditioner is in the front defrost-
ing mode “
”.
Outside air circulation :
Push the intake air control button to draw
outside air into the passenger compartment.
The indicator light on the “
” side will turn
off and “
” (if so equipped) will illuminate.
Automatic intake air control :
In the AUTO mode, the intake air will be con-
trolled automatically. To manually control the
intake air, push the intake air control button.
● Without Advanced Climate Control System
(ACCS):
To return to the automatic control mode,
push the intake air control button for about
2 seconds. The indicator lights (both air
recirculation “
” and outside air circu-
lation “
” sides) will flash twice, and
then the intake air will be controlled auto-
matically. ●
With Advanced Climate Control System
(ACCS):
To return to the automatic control mode,
push the intake air control button until the
indicator light on the “
” side illumi-
nates. The Advanced Climate Control System
(ACCS) turns on and the intake air will be
controlled automatically.
Air flow control :
Pushing the “MODE” manual air flow control
button selects the air outlet to:
: Air flows from center and side ventila- tors.
: Air flows from center and side ventila-tors and foot outlets.
: Air flows mainly from foot outlets.
: Air flows from defroster and foot outlets.
To turn the system off :
Push the “OFF” button.

1to6Station memory operations :
12 stations/channels can be set for the FM band
(6 each for FM1 and FM2), 18 for XM radio (6
each for XM1, XM2 and XM3) and 6 stations can
be set for the AM band.
1. Choose the radio band using the radio band select button.
2. Tune to the desired station/channel using the SEEK·CAT, TRACK, SCAN button or the
radio TUNE knob.
3. Push and hold the desired station preset button
1to6until the radio mutes.
4. The station indicator will then come on and the sound will resume. Memorizing is
now complete.
5. Other buttons can be set in the same manner.
If the battery cable is disconnected, or if the
fuse opens, the radio memory will be erased. In
that case, reset the desired stations/channels.
List (AM and FM radio) (models with navigation
system) :
When the “List” key on the display is selected
while the FM or AM radio is being played, the
preset station list will be displayed. If 1 of the 6 preset stations listed is touched and
held, the current station will be stored as the
new preset.
Menu (XM Satellite Radio) (models with naviga-
tion system) :
When the “Menu” key on the display is selected
while the XM Satellite Radio is being played,
the menu list will be displayed.
The following items are available.

Preset List
Displays the preset channel list. If 1 of the 6
preset stations listed is touched and held,
the current station will be stored as the new
preset.
● Customize Channel List
Selects specific channels to skip while using
the TUNE, SEEK/CATEGORY or Menu-
Categories feature.
● Favorite Artists & Songs
Stores the current artist or song that is being
played. Touch the “Alert” key to be reminded
when the stored artist or song is playing on
a station while listening to XM. ●
Categories
Selecting a category will go to the first
channel in that category as defined by XM
Radio.
● Direct Tune
Inputs the channel number by using a key-
pad.
Text (models without navigation system) :
When the “Text” key is selected with the
INFINITI controller on the display and then the
ENTER button is pushed while the satellite radio
is being played, the text information listed
below will be displayed on the screen.
● CH Name
● Category
● Name
● Title
● Other
Compact Disc (CD) player operation
Push the ignition switch to the ACC or ON
position and insert the Compact Disc (CD) into
the slot with the label side facing up. The CD
will be guided automatically into the slot and
start playing.
