2FUEL RECOMMENDATIONS
B010A02MC-GAT Use Unleaded Gasoline If leaded gasoline is used, it will cause the catalytic converter to become inef-fective and the emission control sys- tem to malfunction. This can also result in increased maintenance expense. Toavoid accidental use of leaded fuel, the large nozzle used with leaded gasoline at service stations can not be insertedinto fuel tank opening of Hyundai ve- hicle. NOTE:
o For some countries, Hyundai ve-
hicles are designed to use leaded gasoline. When you are going touse leaded gasoline, ask to Hyundai dealer whether leaded gasoline in your vehicle is avail-able or not.
o Octane Rating of leaded gasoline
is same with unleaded one.
For Europe
– For the optimal vehicle
performance, we recommend you to use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of RON (Research Octane Num-ber) 95 /AKI (Anti Knock Index) 91 or higher. You may use unleaded gasoline with anoctane rating of RON 91~94/AKI 87~90 but it may result in slight performance reduction of the vehicle. Except Europe – Unleaded gasoline
with a Pump Octane Rating of 87 (Re- search Octane Number 91) or higher must be used in Hyundai vehicle. B010A01MC
Use Diesel Diesel fuel Diesel engine must be operated only on commercially available diesel fuel that complies with EN 590 or comparablestandard. (EN stands for "European Norm"). Do not use marine diesel fuel, heatingoils, or non-approved fuel additives, as this will increase wear and cause dam- age to the engine and fuel system. Theuse of non-approved fuels and / or fuel additives will result in a limitation of your warranty rights.Diesel fuel of above cetane 52 is used in Hyundai vehicle. If two types of diesel fuel are available, use summer orwinter fuel properly according to the following temperature conditions.
o Above -5°C (23°F) ... Summer type
diesel fuel.
o Below -5°C (23°F) ... Winter type diesel fuel.
Watch the fuel level in the tank very carefully : If the engine stops through fuel failure, the circuits must be com- pletely purged to permit restarting.

o If pre-tensioner seat belt is not
working properly, this warninglight will illuminate even if there is no malfunction of the SRS airbag.
! If the SRS airbag warning light does not illuminate when the igni-tion key is turned to "ON", or if it blinks for a second and remains illuminated after illuminating forapproximately 6 seconds, or if it illuminates while the vehicle is being driven, please have an au-thorized Hyundai dealer inspect the pre-tensioner seat belt or SRS airbag system as soon as pos-sible.

o Pre-tensioners are designed to operate only one time. After acti-vation, pre-tensioner seat beltsmust be replaced. All seat belts, of any type, should always be re- placed after they have been wornduring a collision.
o The pre-tensioner seat belt assem-
bly mechanisms become hot dur-ing activation. Do not touch the pre-tensioner seat belt assemblies for several minutes after they havebeen activated. o Do not attempt to inspect or re-

o Do not attempt to service or repair
the pre-tensioner seat belt system in any manner.
o Improper handling of the pre-

The SRS consists of the following com- ponents: - Driver's Airbag Module
- Passenger's Front Airbag Module
- SRS Service Reminder Indicator (SRI)
- SRS Control Module (SRSCM)
The SRSCM continually monitors all elements while the ignition is "ON" to determine if a frontal or near-frontalimpact is severe enough to require airbag deployment. B240B01MC-GAT SRS Components and Functions
B240B01L
The SRS service reminder indicator (SRI) on the instrument panel will illumi-nate for about 6 seconds after the ignition key is turned to the "ON" posi- tion or after the engine is started, afterwhich the SRI should go out.
The airbag modules are located both inthe center of the steering wheel and in the front passenger's panel above the glove box. When the SRSCM detects aconsiderable impact to the front of the vehicle, it will automatically deploy the airbags.

o The space between the occupant
and the curtain airbag must never be occupied by children, passen-gers or pets. Occupants should never lean out or have any parts of their body protruding from thewindow while the engine is run- ning.
o Do not move the sun visor out to cover the side window if there isan item attached to it such as garage door remote control, pens, air fresheners or the like. These objects may cause injury if the Curtain Airbag is deployed.
o Do not install sun blinds to the rear doors, these must not ob-struct or impair the airbag in anyway.
o Do not install any accessories or
children’s toys in the CurtainAirbag deployment zones, as this may impair the operation of the system or throw parts of them intothe vehicle cabin causing injury to occupants if the system is de- ployed. B240C01NF-GAT SRS Care The SRS is virtually maintenance-free and so there are no parts you can safelyservice by yourself. If the SRS SRI (Service Reminder Indicator) does not come on, or continuously remains on,have your vehicle immediately in- spected by your Hyundai dealer. Any work on the SRS system, such as removing, installing, repairing, or any work on the steering wheel must beperformed by a qualified Hyundai tech- nician.
