Avoid dropping or throwing the
transmitter.
Protect the transmitter from
extreme temperature.
Do not immerse the transmitter in
any liquid.
If you lose a transmitter, the
replacement needs to be
reprogrammed by your dealer.
Each remote transmitter activates
the driver’s seat position memory
system (see page ) and
customized vehicle control settings
(see page ). When you open the
driver’s door af ter unlocking it with
the remote transmitter, the driver’s
seat and outside mirrors move to the
positions stored in memory. You will
hear two beeps when the movement is completed.
The driving position memory
activation (Driver 1, Driver 2) is
shownonthebackof each
transmitter. Make sure you store
your seat and outside mirror
positions in the memory that is
activated by the transmitter you
normally carry.
You can turn off this system
activation with the remote
transmitter. Press and hold the
LOCK and UNLOCK buttons at the
same time. The LED in the remote
transmitter will blink twice. Then
release the buttons, and press the
LOCK or UNLOCK button.
To turn the keyless memory settings
back on, repeat this procedure. The
LED will come on f or 1 second to
indicate the feature has been turned
on.

If it takes several pushes on the
button to lock or unlock the doors
and the tailgate, replace the battery
as soon as possible.
Battery type: CR2025 To replace the battery, separate the
half s by caref ully prying on the edge
with a coin. Remove the old battery,
and insert a new battery with the
side f acing up. Snap the two halves
of the transmitter case back together.
An improperly disposed of battery
can hurt the environment.
Always conf irm local regulations f or
battery disposal.

To lock the doors and the tailgate,
press the f ront of the master door
lock switch on either f ront door,
pressthelocktabonthedriver’s
door, or use the outside lock on the
driver’s door.
Pressing the rear of the master door
lock switch will unlock all doors and
the tailgate.The lock tab on any door locks and
unlocks that door.
All doors and the tailgate can be
locked f rom the outside by using the
key in the driver’s door lock. To
unlock only the driver’s door, insert
the key, turn the key, and release it.
The remaining doors and the tailgate
unlock when you turn the key a
second time within a f ew seconds.With the driver’s door open and the
key in the ignition, both master door
lock switches are disabled. They are
not disabled if the driver’s door is
closed. Pushing the f ront of the
master door lock switch on the open
passenger’s door will lock all doors
and the tailgate.

Make sure the shif t lever is in the
Park (P) position.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON
(II) position, and open the driver’s
door.
The auto door locking f eature has
three possible settings:
Your vehicle has customizable
settings f or the doors and tailgate to
automatically lock and unlock. There
are default settings for each of these
f eatures. You can turn of f or change
the settings for these features as
described on the f ollowing pages.
When you customize the setting,
make sure your vehicle is parked
saf ely, the engine is of f , and the
parking brake is applied. Make all
settings bef ore you start driving. The auto door locking is
deactivated all the time.
The doors and tailgate lock
whenever you move the shif t lever
out of the Park (P) position.
The doors and tailgate lock when
the vehicle speed reaches 9 mph
(15 km/h).
This is the def ault setting.
