Programming the Power Windows
If the battery on the vehicle has been recharged,disconnected, or is not working, you will need toreprogram each front power window for the express-upfeature to work. Before reprogramming, replace orrecharge the vehicle's battery.
To program each front window, follow these steps:
1. With the ignition in ACC/ACCESSORY, ON/RUN,or when Retained Accessory Power (RAP) isactive, close all doors.
2. Press and hold the power window switch until thewindow is fully open.
3. Pull the power window switch up until the windowis fully closed.
4. Continue holding the switch up for approximatelytwo seconds after the window is completely closed.
The window is now reprogrammed. Repeat the processfor the other windows.
Window Lockout
o(Window Lockout) :The rear window lockout buttonis located on the driver door near the window switches.
Press the right side of the button to disable the rearwindow controls. The light on the button will illuminate,indicating the feature is in use. The rear windows stillcan be raised or lowered using the driver windowswitches when the lockout feature is active.
To restore power to the rear windows, press the buttonagain. The light on the button will go out.
Sun Visors
Pull the sun visor down to block glare. Detach the sunvisor from the center mount and slide it along the rodfrom side-to-side to cover the driver or passenger sideof the front window. Swing the sun visor to the side tocover the side window. It can be moved along the rodfrom side-to-side in this position also.
Lighted Visor Vanity Mirror
Your vehicle has lighted visor vanity mirrors on both thedriver's and passenger's sun visors. Pull the sun visordown and lift the mirror cover to turn the lamps on.

Manual Rearview Mirror
Hold the inside rearview mirror in the center to move itfor a clearer view behind your vehicle. Adjust the mirrorto avoid glare from the headlamps behind you. Push thetab forward for daytime use and pull it for nighttime use.
Automatic Dimming Rearview Mirror
This vehicle may have an automatic dimming insiderearview mirror with OnStar®. It may also haveIntellibeam®. For more information on Intellibeam™, see“Intellibeam™Intelligent High!Beam Headlamp ControlSystem”underExterior Lampson page 4!11. For moreinformation on OnStar®, see the OnStar®owner's guide.
Automatic Dimming Mirror Operation
Automatic dimming reduces the glare of lights frombehind the vehicle. The dimming feature comes onand the indicator light illuminates each time thevehicle is started.
O(On/Off):Press to turn the dimming feature on or off.
Cleaning the Mirror
Do not spray glass cleaner directly on the mirror. Use asoft towel dampened with water.
Outside Power Foldaway Mirrors
Controls for the outsidepower foldaway mirrorsare located on the driverdoor armrest.
Mirror Adjustment
1. Press (C) to fold the mirrors out to thedriving position.
2. Press (D) to fold the mirrors in to thefolded position.

Resetting the Power Foldaway Mirrors
Reset the power foldaway mirrors if:
.The mirrors are accidentally obstructedwhile folding.
.They are accidentally manually folded/unfolded.
.The mirrors will not stay in the unfolded position.
.The mirrors vibrate at normal driving speeds.
Fold and unfold the mirrors one time using the mirrorcontrols to reset them to their normal position.A popping noise may be heard during the resetting ofthe power foldaway mirrors. This sound is normal aftera manual folding operation.
Automatic Dimming
Adjust the driver outside mirror for the glare of theheadlamps behind your vehicle. SeeAutomaticDimming Rearview Mirroron page 3!43for moreinformation.
Turn Signal Indicator
The vehicle has a turn signal indicator on the mirror.An arrow on the mirror flashes in the direction of theturn or lane change.
Ground Illumination Lamps
The mirrors may also include ground illumination lampsin the base of the mirror. These lamps help to see thearea near the base of the front doors when it isdark out.
Park Tilt Mirrors
If the vehicle has the memory package, thepassenger and/or driver mirror tilts to a preselectedposition when the vehicle is in R (Reverse). This featurelets the driver view the curb when parallel parking. Themirror(s) return to the original position when the vehicleis shifted out of R (Reverse), or the ignition is turned offor to OFF/LOCK.

Disabling and Resetting IntelliBeam®at the
Rearview Mirror
IntelliBeam®can be disabled by using the controls onthe inside rearview mirror.
AUTO3(On/Off):To disable the system, press this
button on the inside rearview mirror. The IntelliBeam®
indicator will turn off and will not come back on until theIntelliBeam®button is pressed again.
(Stalk Disable) :When IntelliBeam®has turned on thehigh-beams, pull or push the high-beam stalk. This willdisable IntelliBeam®. The IntelliBeam®indicator on themirror will turn off. To re-enable IntelliBeam®, press theIntelliBeam®button on the mirror.
A different sensitivity setting is available for dealerdiagnostics. This is done by pushing and holding thisbutton for 20 seconds until the IntelliBeam®indicatorlight flashes three times. If you accidentally activatethis, the vehicle's setting will automatically be reseteach time the ignition is turned off and then on again.
Cleaning the IntelliBeam®Light Sensor
The light sensor is locatedon the inside of thevehicle in front of theinside rearview mirror.
Clean the light sensor window, periodically, using glasscleaner on a soft cloth. Gently wipe the sensor window.Do not spray glass cleaner directly on the surface of thesensor window.
