Seat belts not fastened/
unfastened warning lamp This warning lamp informs you if
the driver’s or front passenger’s
s e a t b e l t i s n o t f a s t e n e d ( d e -
p e n d i n g o n m o d e l ) , a n d i f t h e
f r o n t p a s s e n g e r ’ s ( d e p e n d i n g
o n m o d e l ) o r t h e s e c o n d - r o w
passengers’ seat belts are unfastened.
The illuminated positions represent
those whose seat belts are not fas-
tened/unfastened.
Once the function has been activated,
when starting the engine, the system
automatically locks the doors once you
r e a c h a p p r o x i m a t e l y 6 m p h ( 1 0 k m / h ) .
This function can be deactivated
by pressing button A for more than
two seconds.
Tyre under-inflation detection
This function warns you if a tyre is de-
fl a t e d o r p u n c t u r e d .
This system does not absolve the driver
of the need to regularly check the tyre
pressures.
The service warning lamp comes
on, and a vehicle outline is dis-
played, accompanied by a mes-
sage and an audible signal.

Electric parking brake
Before leaving the vehicle, check that
the electric parking brake warning
lamp P ( r e d ) i s o n fi x e d ( n o t fl a s h i n g ) .
If you leave the vehicle with the en-
gine running, apply the parking brake
manually.
Never leave a child alone inside the
vehicle with the ignition on, as they
could release the parking brake. Parking space sensor

Once the space has been measured, the
system displays the following messages:

This device combines:

by operating control lever A .
When in automatic mode, it remains
possible to apply or release the parking
brake at any time:
To apply it, pull on the lever A .
To release it, pull then release lever A .
Hill start assist
To aid starting on a gradient, your vehicle
i s e q u i p p e d w i t h a s y s t e m w h i c h k e e p s
it immobilised for about 2 seconds, the
approximate time it takes to move your
foot from the brake pedal to the accel-
erator pedal.

Stop & Start
Engine going into STOP mode The "ECO" warning lamp comes
on in the instrument panel and
the engine goes into stand-by:
- with the 6-speed electronic gear-
box system ; at speeds below
4 m p h ( 6 k m / h ) , p r e s s t h e b r a k e
pedal or put the gear lever into neu-
t r a l ( p o s i t i o n N) .
In certain circumstances the STOP
mode may not be available; the "ECO"
w a r n i n g l a m p fl a s h e s f o r a f e w s e c o n d s
then goes off.

"ECO" warning lamp goes
off and the engine restarts:
- with the gear lever in position A or M ,
release the brake pedal,
- or with the gear lever in position N and
the brake pedal released, change to
position A or M ,
- or select reverse gear.
In certain condition, START mode may
be invoked automatically; the "ECO"
w a r n i n g l a m p fl a s h e s t h e n g o e s o f f .
151 Deactivation/Reactivation
You can deactivate the system at any
time by pressing the
"ECO OFF" button;
the button's warning lamp comes on.
The system is reactivated automati-
cally every time you start the engine
with the key. Before refuelling or doing any-
thing under the bonnet, you
must switch off the ignition
with the key.

6. Demisting/defrosting the rear screen
This function operates only if the
engine is running.
Press button 6 to activate/de-
activate the electric demisting/
defrosting of the rear screen and
door mirrors. The warning lamp
comes on.
7. Rapid demisting/defrosting of front and rear windows
and door mirrors
Press button 7 . The warning
lamp comes on.
This function simultaneously acti-
vates:
- front demisting/defrosting,
- o p t i m u m fl o w o f a i r ,
- recirculation prohibition,
- demisting/defrosting of door mir- rors and heated rear screen,
- air conditioning, if necessary.
To stop the function, press button 7
again. 8. Adjustment of the fan air
temperature
This control is for adjusting the tem-
perature of the air in the passenger
compartment. It can be used in cold
weather as well as in hot weather, pro-
vided the air conditioning is active.
The adjustment of the temperature is
continuous and progressive starting
from left to right.
Adjustment of temperature
Press button 9 to take control of
the temperature. The warning
lamp comes on.
Rotate button 10 to adjust your
temperature.
The adjustment of the temperature is
continuous and progressive starting
from left to right.
The demisting/defrosting switch-
es off automatically to prevent
excessive consumption of power.

- recirculation prohibition,
- demisting/defrosting of the door mirrors and rear screen,
- air conditioning, if necessary.
Press button 9 again or " AUTO"
to stop the function. Demisting/
defrosting of the door mirrors and
rear screen remains activated.
10. Air conditioning
Press button 10 to activate the
air conditioning.
The A/C warning lamp comes on.

temperature control independently

The front passenger controls

Lost keys
Visit a CITROËN dealer with the vehi-
cle's V5 registration document and your p e r s o n a l i d e n t i fi c a t i o n d o c u m e n t s .
The CITROËN dealer will be able to
retrieve the key code and the trans-
ponder code required to order a re-
placement key.
Remote control
The high frequency remote control is
a sensitive system; do not operate it
while it is in your pocket as there is a
possibility that it may unlock the vehi-
cle, without you being aware of it.
Do not repeatedly press the buttons
of your remote control out of range
and out of sight of your vehicle. You
run the risk of stopping it from work-
ing and the remote control would
have to be reinitialised.
The remote control does not operate
when the key is in the ignition, even
when the ignition is switched off, ex-
cept for reinitialisation.
Locking the vehicle
Driving with the doors locked may
make access to the passenger com-
partment by the emergency services
m o r e d i f fi c u l t i n a n e m e r g e n c y .
As a safety precaution (with children
on board), remove the key from the
ignition when you leave the vehicle,
even for a short time. Anti-theft protection
D o n o t m a k e a n y m o d i fi c a t i o n s t o t h e
electronic engine immobiliser sys-
tem; this could cause malfunctions.
When purchasing a second-
hand vehicle
Have the key codes memorised by a
CITROËN dealer, to ensure that the
keys in your possession are the only
ones which can start the vehicle.
Do not throw the remote
control batteries away, they
contain metals which are
harmful to the environment.
Take them to an approved collection
point.
