Instrument panel
A. With the ignition on, the fuel gauge
bars for the fuel remaining should
come on.
B. With the engine running, the associ-
ated low level warning lamp should
go off.
C. With the ignition on, the oil level in-
dicator should display "OIL OK" for
a few seconds.
If the levels are not correct, top up the
level which is low.
19 Warning lamps
1. With the ignition on, the orange and
red warning lamps come on.
2. With the engine running, these
warning lamps should go off.
If a warning lamp remains on, refer to
the page concerned.
21, 26 Switch panel
Lighting of the indicator lamp indicates
the status of the corresponding function.

Panel grouping together the vehicle operation indication dials and warning lamps.
Depending on the version, the instrument panel may have permanent back-lighting.
Dials
1. Rev counter.
Indicates the speed of rotation of the engine (x 1 000 rpm).
2. Vehicle speed.
Indicates the current speed of the moving vehicle (mph or km/h).
3. Fuel level.
Indicates the quantity of fuel remain- ing in the tank.
4. Screen.
5. Display management button
Alternates display between range and trip mileage recorder.
Servicing information.
Resets the selected function to zero (trip distance recorder or service in-
dicator).
6. Instrument panel lighting button.
Adjusts the brightness of the lighting of the instruments and controls.

Warning lamps
When the engine is running or the ve-
hicle is being driven, the switching on
of one of the following warning lamps
indicates a fault which requires action
on the part of the driver. Any fault resulting in the illumination of a warni
ng lamp must be investigated
further by reading the associated message in the mu ltifunction screen.
If you encounter any problems, do not hesitate to contact a CITROËN
d e a l e r o r a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
STOP fi x e d , a l o n e
or associated with another
warning lamp, accompanied
by an audible signal and a
message on the screen. Illumination of the warning
lamp is associated with a
serious braking system or
engine coolant temperature
problem.
Stop as soon as it is safe to do so as the engine
may cut out when driving.
Park, switch off the ignition and call a CITROËN
d e a l e r o r a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
Service temporarily.
Minor problems have
occurred for which there is
n o s p e c i fi c w a r n i n g l a m p . Identify the problem by reading the message
shown in the screen, such as, for example:
- the engine oil level,
- the screenwash level,
- the remote control battery,
- s a t u r a t i o n o f t h e p a r t i c l e e m i s s i o n fi l t e r o n
Diesel vehicles (see "Checks - § particle
e m i s s i o n s fi l t e r " ) .
For any other faults, contact a CITROËN dealer or
a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .

coolant
temperature fi x e d r e d .
The temperature of the
cooling system is too high. Stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
Wait until the engine has cooled down before
topping up the level, if necessary.
If the problem persists, contact a CITROËN
d e a l e r o r q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
Engine oil
pressure fi x e d . There is a fault with the
engine lubrication system. You must stop as soon it is safe to do so.
Park, switch off the ignition and contact a
C I T R O Ë N d e a l e r o r a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
Battery
charge fi x e d . The battery charging circuit
has a fault (dirty or loose
terminals, slack or cut
alternator belt, ...). The warning lamp should go off when the engine
is started.
If it does not go off, contact a CITROËN dealer or
a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
Low fuel
level fi x e d . W h e n i t fi r s t c o m e s o n t h e r e
remains
approximately
5 litres of
fuel in the tank. You must refuel as soon as possible to avoid
running out of fuel.
This warning lamp will come on every time the
i g n i t i o n i s s w i t c h e d o n , u n t i l a s u f fi c i e n t a d d i t i o n
of fuel is made.
Fuel tank capacity: approximately 50 litres
(petrol) or 48 litres (Diesel).
Never continue to drive until you run out of fuel
as this could damage the emission control and
injection systems.

The level shown will only be
correct if the vehicle is on level
ground and the engine has been
off for more than 30 minutes.
Engine oil level indicator
System which informs the driver whether
the engine oil level is correct or not.
This information is indicated for a few
seconds when the ignition is switched
on, after the service information.

linked with the service warning lamp, ac-
companied by an audible signal and a
message in the multifunction screen.
I f t h e l o w o i l l e v e l i s c o n fi r m e d b y a
check using the dipstick, the level must
be topped up to prevent damage to the
engine.

- A = max; never exceed
this level (risk of dam-
age to the engine),
- B = min; top up the level

the grade of oil suited to
your engine.

Quality of the fuel used for
petrol engines
The petrol engines are perfectly com-
patible with E10 type petrol biofuels
(containing 10 % ethanol), conforming
to European standards EN 228 and
EN 15376.
E85 type fuels (containing up to 85 %
e t h a n o l ) a r e r e s e r v e d e x c l u s i v e l y f o r
vehicles marketed for the use of this type
o f f u e l ( B i o F l e x v e h i c l e s ) . T h e q u a l i t y o f
the ethanol must comply with European
standard EN 15293.
For Brazil only, special vehicles are
marketed to run on fuels containing up
to 100 % ethanol (E100 type). Quality of the fuel used for
Diesel engines
The Diesel engines are perfectly com-
patible with biofuels which conform to
current and future European standards
(Diesel fuel which complies with stan-
d a r d E N 5 9 0 m i x e d w i t h a b i o f u e l w h i c h
complies with standard EN 14214)
available at the pumps (containing up
to 7 % Fatty Acid Methyl Ester).
The B30 biofuel can be used in
certain Diesel engines; however, this
use is subject to strict application of the
special servicing conditions. Contact a
C I T R O Ë N d e a l e r o r a q u a l i fi e d w o r k -
shop.
The use of any other type of (bio)fuel
(vegetable or animal oils, pure or dilut-
ed, domestic fuel...) is strictly prohibited
(risk of damage to the engine and fuel
system).
M e c h a n i c a l d e v i c e w h i c h p r e v e n t s fi l l i n g
the tank of a Diesel vehicle with petrol. It
avoids the risk of engine damage that can
r e s u l t f r o m fi l l i n g w i t h t h e w r o n g f u e l .

do not place the nozzle of the fuel can in
