MULTIFUNCTION SCREENS
MONOCHROME SCREEN A
Displays on the screen
This displays the following information:
- time,
- date,
- a m b i e n t t e m p e r a t u r e ( t h i s fl a s h e s i f there is a risk of ice),
- status of the doors and boot,
- audio sources (radio, CD...),
- trip computer (refer to the "Instru- ments and Controls" section).
Warning messages (e.g.: "Emission
control system faulty") or information
messages (e.g.: "Boot open") may ap-
pear temporarily. These can be cleared
by pressing the "ESC" button. Controls
From the control panel of your Audio
system, you can:
press the "MENU" button to gain
access to the main menu ,
press the " " or " " buttons to scroll
through the items on the screen,
press the "MODE" button to change
the permanent application (date, au-
dio source...),
press the " " or " " buttons to
change a setting value,
press the "OK" b u t t o n t o c o n fi r m ,
or
press the "ESC" button to abandon
the operation in progress. Main menu
Press the "MENU" button to gain
access to the main menu , then
press the " " or " " buttons to
scroll through the various menus:
- radio-CD,
- v e h i c l e c o n fi g u r a t i o n ,
- options,
- display settings,
- languages,
- units.
Press the "OK" button to select the
menu required.
Radio-CD
With the Audio system switched on,
once the "Radio-CD" menu has been
selected you can activate or deacti-
vate the functions linked with use of the
radio (RDS, REG), or the CD (introscan,
s h u f fl e , C D r e p e a t ) .

CD" application, refer to the Audio sys-
tem part of the "Audio and Telematics"
section.

O n c e t h e " V e h i c l e C o n fi g u r a t i o n " m e n u
has been selected, you can activate or
deactivate the following equipment:
- wiper linked with reverse gear (refer to the "Visibility" section),
- guide-me-home lighting (refer to the "Visibility" section),
- parking sensors (refer to the "Driving" section).
Options
Once the "Options" menu has been
selected, you can start diagnostics of
the status of the equipment (active, not
active, faulty). D i s p l a y s e t t i n g s
Once the "Display settings" menu has
been selected, you can gain access to
the following settings:
- year,
- month,
- day,
- hour,
- minutes,
- 12 or 24 hour mode.
Once you have selected a setting,
press the " " or " " buttons to
change its value.
Press the " " or " " buttons to
switch respectively to the previous
or next setting.
Press the "OK" button to save the
change and return to the normal
display or press the "ESC" button
to cancel. L a n g u a g e s
Once the "Languages" menu has been
selected, you can change the language
used by the display (Français, Italiano,
Nederlands, Portugues, Portugues-
Brasil, Deutsch, English, Espanol).
Units
Once the "Units" menu has been se-
lected, you can change the units of the
following parameters:
- temperature (°C or °F),
-
fuel consumption (l/100 km, mpg or km/l).
Once the fuel consumption units
have been set to mpg, the infor-
mation in the instrument panel
screen on speed and distance
will also be in mph and miles.

stationary.

"Audio functions" menu
With the Audio system switched on,
once this menu has been selected you
can activate or deactivate the functions
linked with use of the radio (RDS, REG,
R a d i o T e x t ) , t h e C D ( i n t r o s c a n , s h u f fl e ,
CD repeat) or the MP3 player (USB
port/jack socket).

guide-me-home lighting
Press the " " or " " buttons, then

the value required (15, 30 or 60 sec-
onds), then press the "OK" button

Once this menu has been selected,
you can change the language used
by the display (Deutsch, English,
Espanol, Français, Italiano, Nederlands,
Portugues, Portugues-Brasil, Türkçe * ). "Telephone" Menu

by the driver of the multifunction
screen must only be done when
stationary.
D i s p l a y c o n fi g u r a t i o n
Once this menu has been selected, you
can gain access to the following settings:
- brightness-video setting,
- date and time setting,
- selection of units.
Once the fuel consumption units
have been changed to mpg, the
information in the screen rela-
ting to speed and distance also
changes to mph and miles re-
spectively. With Audio system on, once this menu
i s s e l e c t e d y o u c a n c o n fi g u r e y o u r
Bluetooth hands-free system (pairing),
view the various telephone directories
(list of calls, services...) and manage
your calls (call, hang up, second call,
secret mode...).

ACCESS
Lost keys
Visit a CITROËN dealer with the vehicle's V5 registration do cument and
y o u r p e r s o n a l i d e n t i fi c a t i o n d o c u m e n t s .
The CITROËN dealer will be able to retrieve the key code a nd the
transponder code required to order a replacement key. Do not throw the remote con-
trol batteries away, they contain
metals which are harmful to the
environment.
Take them to an approved col-
lection point.
Remote control
The high frequency remote control is a sensitive system; do not o perate
it while it is in your pocket as there is a possibility that i t may unlock the
vehicle, without you being aware of it.
Do not repeatedly press the buttons of your remote control out of range and
out of sight of your vehicle. You run the risk of stopping it from working and
the remote control would have to be reinitialised.
The remote control does not operate when the key is in the ignition, even
w h e n t h e i g n i t i o n i s s w i t c h e d o f f , e x c e p t f o r r e i n i t i a l i s a t i o n .
Locking the vehicle
Driving with the doors locked may make access to t he passenger compart-
m e n t b y t h e e m e r g e n c y s e r v i c e s m o r e d i f fi c u l t i n a n e m e r g e n c y .
As a safety precaution (with children on board), remove the key fro m the
ignition when you leave the vehicle, even for a short time.
Anti-theft protection
D o n o t m a k e a n y m o d i fi c a t i o n s t o t h e e l e c t r o n i c e n g i n e i m m o b i l i s e r
system; this could cause malfunctions.
When purchasing a second-hand vehicle
Have the key codes memorised by a CITROËN dealer, to ensure tha t the
keys in your possession are the only ones which can start the vehicle .

DRIVING
When the cruise control is
switched on, be careful if you
maintain the pressure on one of
the programmed speed chang-
ing buttons: this may result in a
very rapid change in the speed
of your vehicle.
Do not use the cruise control on
s l i p p e r y r o a d s o r i n h e a v y t r a f fi c .
On a steep descent, the cruise
control will not be able to prevent
t h e v e h i c l e f r o m e x c e e d i n g t h e
programmed speed.
T o a v o i d a n y r i s k o f j a m m i n g o f
the pedals:
- ensure that the mat is posi-tioned correctly,
- n e v e r fi t o n e m a t o n t o p o f another.
Programming
Turn thumb wheel 1 to the
"CRUISE" position: the cruise
control mode is selected but is not
switched on (PAUSE).
Set the programmed speed by
accelerating to the required
speed, then press button 2 or 3
( e . g . : 7 0 m p h ( 1 1 0 k m / h ) ) .
You can then change the programmed speed using butt ons 2
and 3 :
- b y + o r - 1 m p h ( k m / h ) = s h o r t p r e s s ,
- b y + o r - 5 m p h ( k m / h ) = l o n g p r e s s ,
- i n s t e p s o f + o r - 5 m p h ( k m / h ) = m a i n t a i n e d p r e s s .
Exceeding the programmed speed
I n t e n t i o n a l o r u n i n t e n t i o n a l e x c e e d i n g o f t h e p r o g r a m m e d
s p e e d r e s u l t s i n fl a s h i n g o f t h i s s p e e d i n t h e s c r e e n .
Return to the programmed speed, by means of intentional
or unintentional deceleration of the vehicle, automaticall y
c a n c e l s t h e fl a s h i n g o f t h e s p e e d .
Leaving cruise control mode
Turn thumb wheel 1 to the "0" position: the cruise control
mode is deselected. The display returns to the dist ance
recorder.
Switch off the cruise control by pressing button 4 : the
s c r e e n c o n fi r m s t h a t i t h a s b e e n s w i t c h e d o f f ( P A U S E ) .
Switch the cruise control back on by pressing button 4
again. Operating fault
In the event of a cruise control malfunc-
tion, the speed is cleared resulting in
fl a s h i n g o f t h e d a s h e s . H a v e i t c h e c k e d
