Front passenger's airbag
1. Open the glove box.
2. Insert the key.
3. Select position:
"ON" ( a c t i v a t i o n ) , w i t h f r o n t p a s s e n -
g e r o r " f o r w a r d s f a c i n g " c h i l d s e a t ,
"OFF" ( d e a c t i v a t i o n ) , w i t h " r e a r f a c -
ing" child seat".
4. Remove the key keeping the switch
in the new position.

WINDOW CONTROLS
System which opens or closes a window
m a n u a l l y o r a u t o m a t i c a l l y . I t i s fi t t e d w i t h
a system which provides protection if an
obstacle is detected on the one-touch
models and a deactivation system to
prevent misuse of the rear switches on
all models.
1. Driver's electric window switch.
2.
Passenger's electric window switch.
3. Rear right electric window switch.
4. Rear left electric window switch.

Press or pull the switch.
The window stops as soon
as the switch is released.
The electric window switches

mately 45 seconds after the igni-
tion is switched off or until a front
door is opened.
One-touch electric windows There are two methods
of operation:
- manual mode
Press or pull the switch gently.
The window stops as soon as the
switch is released.
- automatic mode
Press or pull the switch fully.
The window opens or closes
completely when the switch is
released.
Pressing the switch again stops
the movement of the window. The electric window switches
r e m a i n o p e r a t i o n a l f o r a p p r o x i -
mately 45 seconds after the igni-
tion is switched off or until a front
door is opened.
Safety anti-pinch
The one-touch front electric windows are
fi t t e d w i t h a s a f e t y a n t i - p i n c h f u n c t i o n .
When the window rises and meets an
obstacle, it stops and partially lowers
again.
In the event of unwanted opening
o f t h e w i n d o w o n c l o s i n g ( f o r e x -
ample in the presence of frost):
press the switch until it opens
completely,
then pull it immediately until
it closes,
continue to hold the switch for
a p p r o x i m a t e l y o n e s e c o n d a f -
ter the window has closed.
The safety anti-pinch func-
tion is not active during these
operations.

Deactivating the rear window and
door switches
For the safety of your children, press
switch 5 to prevent operation of the
rear windows irrespective of their
position.
With the lamp on, the rear controls are
deactivated.
With the lamp off, the rear controls are
activated.
This control also deactivates the
interior rear door controls (see
"Child safety - § Electric child
lock"). Reinitialisation
In the event of a malfunction you have
to reinitialise the operation of the elec-
tric windows:
release the switch and pull it again
until the window closes completely,
h o l d t h e s w i t c h f o r a p p r o x i m a t e l y
one second after closing,
press the switch to lower the win-
dow automatically.
The safety anti-pinch function is not
active during these operations. Always remove the key from the
ignition when leaving the vehicle,
even for a short time.
In the event of contact during
operation of the windows, re-
verse the movement of the win-
dow. To do this, press the switch
concerned.
When the driver operates the
passenger electric window
switches, they should ensure
that no one is preventing correct
closing of the windows.
The driver should ensure that
passengers use the electric win-
dows correctly.
Be aware of children when oper-
ating the windows.

ADVICE ON CHILD SEATS
As a safety precaution, do not leave:
- a child or children alone and un-supervised in a vehicle,
- a c h i l d o r a n a n i m a l i n a v e h i c l e w h i c h i s e x p o s e d t o t h e s u n , w i t h
the windows closed,
- t h e k e y s w i t h i n r e a c h o f c h i l d r e n inside the vehicle.
To prevent accidental opening of the
doors and rear windows, use the
" C h i l d l o c k " .

T o p r o t e c t y o u n g c h i l d r e n f r o m t h e

C h i l d r e n u n d e r t h e a g e o f 1 0 m u s t
not travel in the "forwards-facing"
position on the front passenger seat,
unless the rear seats are already
o c c u p i e d b y o t h e r c h i l d r e n , c a n n o t
b e u s e d o r a r e a b s e n t .
D e a c t i v a t e t h e p a s s e n g e r a i r b a g
when a "rearwards-facing" child seat
is installed on the front seat.
O t h e r w i s e , t h e c h i l d w o u l d r i s k b e i n g
s e r i o u s l y i n j u r e d o r k i l l e d i f t h e a i r b a g
w e r e t o i n fl a t e .
Installing a booster seat
T h e c h e s t p a r t o f t h e s e a t b e l t m u s t
b e p o s i t i o n e d o n t h e c h i l d ' s s h o u l d e r
w i t h o u t t o u c h i n g t h e n e c k .
Ensure that the lap part of the seat
b e l t p a s s e s c o r r e c t l y o v e r t h e c h i l d ' s
thighs.

The incorrect installation of a child

When installing a child seat using the
s e a t b e l t , e n s u r e t h a t t h e s e a t b e l t i s
tightened correctly on the child seat
a n d t h a t i t s e c u r e s t h e c h i l d s e a t fi r m l y
o n t h e s e a t o f y o u r v e h i c l e . M o v e t h e
seat forwards if necessary.
F o r o p t i m u m i n s t a l l a t i o n o f t h e " f o r -
wards-facing" child seat, ensure that
t h e b a c k o f t h e c h i l d s e a t i s i n c o n t a c t
w i t h t h e b a c k o f t h e v e h i c l e ' s s e a t
and that the head restraint does not
c a u s e a n y d i s c o m f o r t .

MANUAL CHILD LOCK
M e c h a n i c a l s y s t e m t o p r e v e n t o p e n -

control.
The control is located on the edge of
each rear door.
Locking

control one quarter of a turn:
- to the right on the left-hand rear door,
- to the left on the right-hand rear door.
Unlocking

control one quarter of a turn:

- to the right on the right-hand rear door.
