Stop & Start
This system puts the engine temporar-
ily into standby during stops in the traf-
fi c ( r e d l i g h t s , t r a f fi c j a m s , e t c . . . ) . T h e
engine restarts automatically as soon
as you want to move off. The Stop &
Start system reduces fuel consumption
a n d e x h a u s t e m i s s i o n s , a n d p r o v i d e s
the comfort of complete silence when
stationary.

This kit is a complete system consisting

Stop & Start
Going into engine STOP mode The "ECO" warning lamp comes
on in the instrument panel and
the engine goes into standby:
- with a manual gearbox; at speeds
b e l o w 1 2 m p h ( 2 0 k m / h ) , p u t t h e
g e a r l e v e r i n t o n e u t r a l , t h e n r e l e a s e
the clutch pedal.
I n s o m e c i r c u m s t a n c e s , S T O P m o d e
may not be available; the "ECO" warn-
i n g l a m p fl a s h e s f o r a f e w s e c o n d s ,
then goes off.
111 Going into engine START mode
The "ECO" warning lamp goes
off and the engine restarts:
- with a manual gearbox; depress
the clutch pedal.

112 Deactivation/Reactivation
You can deactivate the system at
any time by pressing the
"ECO OFF"
switch; the warning lamp in the button
comes on.
The system is reactivated auto-
matically every time the vehicle
is started using the key.
Before refueling or doing any-
t h i n g u n d e r t h e b o n n e t , y o u
must switch off the ignition with
the key.

Stop & Start fi x e d .
The Stop & Start system
has put the engine in STOP
mode at a vehicle stop
( t r a f fi c l i g h t s , t r a f fi c j a m , o r
other...). The warning lamp goes off and the engine
restarts automatically in START mode, as soon
as you want to move off.

few seconds,
then goes off. STOP mode is temporarily
unavailable.

START mode is invoked
automatically.
Refer to "Driving - § Stop & Start" for special
cases with STOP mode and START mode.
Passenger's
airbag
system fi x e d . The control switch, located
in the glove box, is in
the "
ON " position.
The passenger's front
airbag is activated.
In this case, do not install a
rear-facing child seat. Turn the control switch to the "
OFF " position
to deactivate the front passenger's airbag.
In this case you can install a rear-facing child
seat.
Engine
coolant
temperature fi x e d b l u e . On starting the engine, it
indicates that the engine is
cold. After a few minutes driving, it swiches off to
indicate that the engine temperature is normal.
In order to protect your engine, avoid driving too
hard until the warning lamp has switched off.

Anti-lock
Braking System (ABS) fi x e d .
The anti-lock braking
system has a fault. The vehicle retains conventional braking.
Drive carefully at reduced speed and contact

without delay.
Dynamic
stability control
(ESP/ASR) fl a s h i n g .
The ESP/ASR regulation is
active. The system optimises traction and improves the
directional stability of the vehicle.

Engine
autodiagnosis system fi x e d .
The emission control
system has a fault.
The warning lamp should go off when the engine is
started.
I f i t d o e s n o t g o o f f , c o n t a c t a C I T R O Ë N d e a l e r o r q u a l i fi e d
workshop without delay.
fl a s h i n g . The engine management
system has a fault. Risk of destruction of the catalytic converter.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or a
q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
Braking fi x e d ,

with the STOP warning lamp. T h e b r a k i n g s y s t e m fl u i d
level is too low. You must stop as soon as it is safe to do so.

Maximum
coolant
temperature fi x e d r e d .
The temperature of the
cooling system is too high. Stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
Wait until the engine has cooled down before
topping up the level, if necessary.
If the problem persists, contact a CITROËN dealer
o r q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
Engine oil
pressure fi x e d . There is a fault with the
engine lubrication system. You must stop as soon it is safe to do so.
Park, switch off the ignition and contact a CITROËN
d e a l e r o r a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
Battery
charge fi x e d . The battery charging circuit
has a fault (dirty or loose
terminals, slack or cut
alternator belt, ...). The warning lamp should go off when the engine
is started.
If it does not go off, contact a CITROËN dealer or
a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
Low fuel
level fi x e d . W h e n i t fi r s t c o m e s o n t h e r e
remains
approximately
5 litres of
fuel in the tank. You must refuel as soon as possible to avoid
running out of fuel.
This warning lamp will come on every time the
i g n i t i o n i s s w i t c h e d o n , u n t i l a s u f fi c i e n t a d d i t i o n
of fuel is made.
Fuel tank capacity: approximately 50 litres
(petrol) or 48 litres (Diesel).
Never continue to drive until you run out of fuel
as this could damage the emission control and
injection systems.

Information displays
Press the button, located at the end
of the wiper stalk , to display the
various items of trip computer infor-
mation in succession.
Press the control for more than
two seconds to reset to zero the
distance travelled, the average
fuel consumption and the average
speed.
The trip computer provides the following
information:
- range,
- current fuel consumption,
- the Stop & Start time counter * , - distance travelled,
- average fuel consumption,
The next press then returns you to
the normal display.
TRIP COMPUTER
System that gives you current information
on your journey (range, fuel consump-
tion…).
