Operating fault Side air bags Activation
The side air bags are triggered unilater-
ally in the event of a serious side impact
applied to all or part of the side impact
zone
B , perpendicular to the longitudinal
centreline of the vehicle on a horizontal
plane and directed from the outside to-
wards the inside of the vehicle.

Disarming the front passenger's
front air bag
To ensure the safety of your child, it is
essential to disarm the passenger air
bag when you install a rear-facing child
seat on the front passenger seat. Other-
wise, the child would risk being seriously
i n j u r e d o r k i l l e d i f t h e a i r b a g w e r e t o i n -
fl a t e .
With the ignition switched off , in-
sert the key into the passenger air
bag disarming switch, turn it to the
"OFF" position, then remove the
key keeping the slot in this position. Reactivation
As soon as the child seat is removed,
turn the air bag slot to the
"ON" posi-
tion to re-activate the air bag and thus
ensure its safety function.

event of a serious side impact in order

The side air bag is incorporated in the
seat back frame, on the door side. When the ignition is on, this
warning light remains lit on the
instrument panel for the dura-
tion of disarming.
If this warning light comes on,
accompanied by an audible
signal and a message on the
multifunction display, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer to have the air bags
system checked. In the
"OFF" position, the passenger air
bag will not be triggered in the event of
an impact.

Fitting the wheel
- Once the wheel is in place, pre-tight-en it lightly using the wheelbrace.
- Fold the jack and remove it.
- Tighten the bolts using the wheel- brace.
- R e fi t t h e w h e e l t r i m s t a r t i n g a t t h e valve passage hole and press with
the palm of the hand. Putting the wheel back in place
- Put the jack storage case back in
the wheel.
- Put the wheel back in the carrier.
- Raise the wheel, then the carrier and reposition the hook.
- Do not forget to retighten the spare wheel carrier retaining bolt fully.
- Stow the wheelbrace. For your safety, always change a
wheel:
- on level, stable and non slip-
pery ground,
- with the handbrake applied, ignition off,
- w i t h fi r s t o r r e v e r s e g e a r e n - gaged,
- with the vehicle chocked,
- never go underneath a vehicle raised using a jack (use an
axle stand).
After changing the wheel
- Have the tightening of the bolts and the pressure of the
spare tyre checked as soon
as possible by a PEUGEOT
dealer.
- Have the punctured tyre re- paired and replace it on the
vehicle as soon as possible.

CHANGING A BULB
Front lights
1. Direction indicators
(PY21 W amber).
2. Side lights (W 5 W).
3. Dipped headlamps (H7-55 W).
4. Main beam headlamps (H1-55 W).
5. Fog lamps (PSX-24 W).
Operating procedure for replacing a
faulty bulb with a new bulb. These
operations must be carried out
with the
ignition off .
To gain access to the bulbs on the right-
hand side:
- Remove the screenwash reservoir fi l l e r t u b e .
- Unclip the engine harness 1 .
- Remove the nut from the engine control unit support 2 using a size
10 spanner.
- Remove the engine control unit and support assembly. After changing the faulty bulb:
- Slide the two lugs of the control unit
support into the locations A .
- Put the engine control unit back in place.
- Tighten the engine control unit sup- port nut (size 10 spanner).
- Reclip the engine harness.
These bulbs are available from
PEUGEOT dealers.
In certain climatic conditions (low
temperature, humidity), conden-
sation inside the glass of the
headlamps and lights is normal .
However, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer if water is present in the
headlamps.
