Zero reset
Press the stalk for more than two seconds.
Range
This shows the distance that can still be
covered with the fuel remaining in the
tank.
Note: t h i s fi g u r e m a y i n c r e a s e i f t h e r e
is a change in the style of driving or the
r o a d s u r f a c e , p r o d u c i n g a s i g n i fi c a n t
drop in current consumption.
When the range is less than 20 miles
(30 km), three segments are dis-
p l a y e d . A f t e r fi l l i n g w i t h f u e l , t h e r a n g e
is displayed when it exceeds 60 miles
(100 km).
If horizontal segments are displayed for
long periods instead of digits, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Pressing the button on the end of the
wash/wipe stalk enables the following
data to be displayed:
- the range
- the distance travelled
- the average consumption
- the current consumption
- the average speed Average consumption
This is the average fuel consumption
since the computer was last set to zero.
Current consumption
This is the average quantity of fuel con-
sumed during the last few seconds.
This function is displayed only when the
vehicle is travelling at a speed greater
than 20 mph (30 km/h). Distance travelled
This indicates the distance travelled
since the computer was last set to
zero.
Average speed
This is the average speed calculated
since the computer was last set to zero
(with the ignition on).

De-icing - Demisting
To quickly de-ice or demist the wind-
screen and side windows:
place the air intake control 4 in the
" E x t e r i o r a i r i n t a k e " p o s i t i o n ,
place the air distribution dial 3 in the
" W i n d s c r e e n " p o s i t i o n ,
place the temperature dial 1 and the
a i r fl o w d i a l 2 in the maximum posi-
tion,
close the central vents,
switch on the air conditioning by
pressing the "A/C" button.
5. Air conditioning On/Off
S w i t c h i n g o n
Press the "A/C" button, the associ-
ated indicator light comes on.

dial 2 is in position "OFF".
S w i t c h i n g o f f
Press the "A/C" button again, the as-
sociated indicator light switches off.
REAR SCREEN
DE-ICING
S w i t c h i n g o n
The rear screen de-icing can only oper-
ate when the engine is running.
Press this button to de-ice the rear
screen. The indicator light associ-
ated with the button comes on.
S w i t c h i n g o f f
The de-icing switches off automatically
to prevent an excessive consumption of
current.
It is possible to stop the de-icing op-
eration before it is switched off au-
tomatically by pressing the button
again. The indicator light associated
with the button switches off.
If the engine is switched off before the
de-icing is switched off automatically,
de-icing will resume next time the en-
gine is switched on.
Switch off the de-icing of the rear
screen as soon as you consider this
necessary as lower current con-
sumption results in reduced fuel
consumption. The control button is located on
the air conditioning system con-
trol panel.
The air conditioning is designed
to operate effectively in all sea-
sons, with the windows closed.
It enables you to:
- lower the temperature, in summer,
- increase the effectiveness of the de- misting, in winter above 0 °C.

Quality of the fuel used for Diesel engines
The Diesel engines are perfectly compatible with biofuels w hich conform to current and future European standards (diesel
fuel which complies with standard EN 590 mixed with a biofue l which complies with standard EN 14214) which can be
distributed at the pumps (possible incorporation of 0 to 7 % Fatty Acid Methyl Ester).
The use of any other type of (bio) fuel (vegetable or animal oils, domestic fuel...) is strictly prohibited (risk of damage to the
engine and fuel circuit).
