Sunshade*
E00302800279WARNING
l Never leave a child (or other person who
might not be capable of safe operation of
the sunshade switch) in the vehicle alone.
l Before operating the sunshade, make
sure that nothing can be trapped (head,
hand, finger, etc.).
l Do not bring your head, hand, finger, etc.
near the opening edge of the sunshade re-
ceptacle while the vehicle is in motion.
It may cause injury to your head, hand,
finger, etc. in the event of sudden braking. CAUTION
l
Do
not place heavy luggage on the panor-
amic glass roof. Doing so could damage
the glass roof.
l Do not hang heavy luggage from, allow a
person to hang onto, or apply any other
strong force to the opening of the sun-
shade receptacle or the parts between the
ceiling and the sunshade opening on ei-
ther side. Doing so could damage the sun-
shade.
NOTE l Release
the switch as soon as the sunshade
reaches the fully open or fully closed position. l
If
the sunshade does not operate when the sun-
shade switch is operated, release the switch
and check whether something is trapped by
the sunshade. If nothing is trapped, we recom-
mend you to have the sunshade checked.
l Operating the sunshade repeatedly with the
engine stationary will run down the battery.
Operate the sunshade while the engine is run-
ning.
l Close the sunshade when parking the vehicle
for a long time. Parking in the hot sun with
the sunshade open will make the vehicle in-
side extremely hot.
The sunshade can only be operated with the igni-
tion switch or the operation mode in ON. 1- Open

A tone and warning lamp are used to remind the
driver to fasten the seat belt.
If
the ignition switch is turned to the “ON” position
or the operation mode is put in ON while a seat
belt is not fastened, the warning lamp illuminates
and the tone sounds for about 6 seconds to remind
the driver to fasten the seat belt.
If the vehicle is driven without fastening the seat
belt, approximately 1 minute after the ignition
switch is turned to the “ON” position, the warning
lamp illuminates and flashes repeatedly, and the
tone sounds continuously. In addition, the warning
display will be displayed on the information screen
in the multi-information display. The warning lamp goes off and the tone stops after
approximately 90 seconds.
Subsequently,
if the seat belt is still not fastened,
the warning lamp and tone will be activated to re-
mind the driver to fasten the seat belt whenever the
vehicle is stopped and started again. The warning
will operate in the same way if the seat belt is re-
moved while driving the vehicle. The warning will
stop when the seat belt is fastened.

This
lamp illuminates when the ignition
switch is turned to the “ON” position or
the operation mode is put in ON, and
goes off after a few seconds.
Always make sure that the lamp goes off
before driving.
With the ignition switch or the operation

l When the parking brake lever has
been engaged.
l When the brake fluid level in the
reservoir falls to a low level.
l When the brake force distribution
function is not operating correctly. CAUTION
l
In
the situations listed below,
brake performance may be com-
promised or the vehicle may be-
come unstable if brakes are ap-
plied suddenly; consequently,
avoid driving at high speeds or
applying the brakes suddenly.
Furthermore, the vehicle
should be brought to a stop in a
safe location and to have it
checked. CAUTION
• The
brake warning lamp
does not illuminate when
the parking brake is applied
or does not turn off when
the parking brake is re-

E00502601638
This
lamp is a part of an onboard diag-
nostic system which monitors the emis-
sions, engine control system or CVT con-
trol system.
If a problem is detected in one of these
systems, this lamp illuminates or flashes.
Although your vehicle will usually be
drivable and not need towing, we recom-
mend you to have the system checked as
soon as possible.
This lamp will also illuminate when the
ignition switch is turned “ON” or the op-
eration mode is put in ON, and goes off
after the engine has started. If it does not
go off after the engine has started, we rec-
ommend you to have the vehicle checked. CAUTION
l
Prolonged
driving with this
lamp on may cause further dam-
age to the emission control sys-
tem. It could also affect fuel
economy and drivability.
l If the lamp does not illuminate
when the ignition switch is
turned to the “ON” position or
the operation mode is put in
ON, we recommend you to
have the system checked. Instruments and controls
