1.CHECK DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL
With CONSULT-III
Check main power window and door lock/unlock switch ("CDL LOCK SW", "CDL UNLOCK SW") in DATA
MONITOR mode in CONSULT–III.
• When main power window and door lock/unlock switch is turned to LOCK:
• When main power window and door lock/unlock switch is turned to UNLOCK:
Without CONSULT-III
1. Remove key from ignition key cylinder.
2. Using an oscilloscope, check the signal between BCM connector M18 terminal 22 and ground when the main power window and door lock/unlock switch is turned to LOCK or UNLOCK.
3. Make sure the signals which are shown in the figur e below can be detected during 10 seconds just after
the door lock/unlock switch is turned to LOCK or UNLOCK.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Door lock and unlock switch circuit is OK.

2.CHECK BCM OUTPUT SIGNAL
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Using the vehicle operational Intelligent Key, pr ess and hold the UNLOCK button for more than 3 sec-
onds.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 3
NO >> Replace BCM. Refer to BCS-56, "
Removal and Installation".
3.CHECK DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH GROUND HARNESS
1. Disconnect main power window and door lock/unlock switch.
2. Check continuity between main power window and door lock/ unlock switch connector D8 terminal 17 and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 4
NO >> Repair or replace harness.
4.CHECK POWER WINDOW SERIAL LINK CIRCUIT
1. Disconnect BCM.
2. Check continuity between BCM connector M18 term inal 22 and main power window and door lock/unlock
switch connector D7 terminal 14.
3. Check continuity between BCM connector M18 terminal 22 and ground. The front windows should be lowered.

3. Check continuity between Intelligent Key unit harness connector (A) M70 terminal 28 and front door lock assembly LH (door
unlock sensor) harness connector (B) D14 terminal 4.
4. Check continuity between Intelligent Key unit harness connector (A) M70 terminal 28 and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 3
NO >> Repair or replace harness between Intelligent Key unit and front door lock assembly LH (door unlock sensor).
3.CHECK UNLOCK SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT
Check continuity between front door lock assembly LH (door unlock sensor) harness connector D14 terminal 5
and ground.
