B370A01A-AAT HAZARD WARNING SYSTEM The hazard warning system should be used whenever you find it necessary to stop the car in a hazardous location.When you must make such an emer- gency stop, always pull off the road as far as possible.The hazard warning lights are turned on by pushing in on the hazard switch. This causes all turn signal lights toblink. The hazard warning lights will operate even though the key is not in the ignition.To turn the hazard warning lights off, push in on the switch a second time. B380A01HP-DAT REAR WINDOW DEMISTER SWITCH The rear window demister is turned on by pushing in on the switch. To turn the demister off, push in on the switch asecond time. The rear window demister automatically turns itself off after about 20 minutes. To restart the demistercycle, push in on the switch again after it has turned itself off.

B460B01GK-GAT Opening the Sunroof System The sunroof can be electrically opened or closed with the ignition key in the "ON" position. The sunroof is moved toits fully open position by pushing the "Open" switch, and to stop at the de- sired position, push in any switches(Open, Close, Up, Down). To close, press and hold the "CLOSE" button. Release the button when the sunroofreaches the desired position. HFC2021WARNING:
o Do not close a sunroof if anyone’s hands, arms or body are betweenthe sliding glass and the sunroofsash, as this could result in in- jury.
o Do not place your head or arms
out of the sunroof opening at anytime.
CAUTION:
o Do not open the sunroof in se- verely cold temperature or when it is covered with ice or snow.
o Periodically remove any dirt that
may have accumulated on theguide rails.

B460C01GK-GAT Tilting the Sunroof System The sunroof is moved to its fully tilt up position by pushing the "UP" switch, and to stop at the desired position,push in any switches (Open, Close, Up, Down). To tilt down, press and hold the"DOWN" button. Release the button when the sunroof reaches the desired position. NOTE: After washing the car or after there is rain, be sure to wipe off any water that is on the sunroof before oper-ating it.

Type B In the "DR" position, the interior cour- tesy light comes on when any door isopened regardless of the ignition key position. The light goes out gradually 6 seconds after the door is closed.
oON In the "ON" position, the light stays on at all times.
o OFF In the "OFF" position, the light stays off at all times even though a door is open.

WARNING:
To avoid the possibility of injury in case of an accident or a sudden stop, the glove box door should bekept closed when the car is in mo- tion.
o To open the glove box, pull on the glove box release lever.

To adjust the position of either mirror:
1. Move the selecting switch to the
right or left to activate the adjustable mechanism for the correspondingdoor mirror.
2. Now, adjust mirror angle by de-
pressing the appropriate perimeterswitch as illustrated.

CAUTION:
o Do not operate the switch con- tinuously for an unnecessary length of time.
o Scraping ice from the mirror face could cause permanent damage.To remove any ice, use a sponge,soft cloth or approved de-icer.!

HEATER (If Installed) The outside rearview mirror heater is actuated in connection with the rear window demister. To heat the outsiderearview mirror glass, push in the switch for the rear window demister. The rear- view mirror glass will be heated fordemisting or defogging and will give you improved rear vision in inclement weather conditions. Push the switch again toturn the heater off. The outside rearview mirror heater automatically turns itself off after 20 minutes. HTB039
WARNING:
Be careful when judging the size ordistance of any object seen in the passenger side rear view mirror. It is a convex mirror with a curvedsurface. Any objects seen in this mirror are closer than they appear.

The "night" position is selected by flipping the tabat the bottom of the mirror toward you. In the "night" position, the glare of headlights of cars behind you is re-duced. HTB103
Always engage the hand brake beforeleaving the car. CAUTION:
Driving with the hand brake applied will cause excessive brake pad (or lining) and brake rotor wear.! Releasing the hand brake To release the hand brake, first apply the foot brake and pull up the handbrake lever slightly. Secondly, depress the release button and lower the hand brake lever while holding the button.
WARNING:
o The transaxle gear shift lever should be in neutral position with the hand brake fully engaged when the vehicle is being transported on a car carrier. During transpor- tation the vehicle should be loadedon a flat deck and not on an incline position of the car carrier.
o Whenever leaving vehicle or park- ing always set the hand brake asfar as possible and fully engage the vehicle's transaxle into the parkposition. Vehicles not fully engaged in park with the hand brake set are at riskfor moving inadvertently and in- juring yourself or others.
Applying the hand brake To engage the hand brake, first apply the foot brake and then without press-ing the release button in, pull the hand brake lever up as far as possible. In addition it is recommended that whenparking the vehicle on a gradient, the shift lever should be positioned in the appropriate low gear on manual transaxlevehicles or in the P (Park) position on automatic transaxle vehicles.
In addition to the lower-mounted rearstop lights on either side of the car, the high mounted rear stop light in thecentre of the rear window or inserted in the rear spoiler also lights when the brakes are applied.

B560A01A-DAT REMOTE FUEL-FILLER LID RELEASE The fuel filler lid may be opened from inside the vehicle by pulling up on thefuel filler lid opener located on the front floor area on the right side of the car. NOTE: If the fuel filler lid will not open because ice has formed around it,tap lightly or push on the lid to break the ice and release the lid. Do not pry on the lid. If necessary,spray around the lid with an ap-
proved de-icer fluid (do not use radiator anti-freeze) or move thevehicle to a warm place and allow the ice to melt. HTB115-D
4. Hold the bonnet open with the sup-
port rod.
Before closing the bonnet, return the support rod to its clip to prevent it fromrattling. Lower the bonnet until it is about 30 cm (1 ft.) above the closed position and let it drop. Make sure thatit locks into place.

o Always double check to be sure that the bonnet is firmly latched before driving away. If it is notlatched, the bonnet could fly open while the vehicle is being driven, causing a total loss of visibility,which might result in an acci- dent.
o The support rod must be inserted completely into the hole providedin the bonnet whenever you in- spect the engine compartment.This will prevent the bonnet from falling and possibly injuring you.
o Do not move the vehicle with the bonnet in the raised position, asvision is obstructed and the bon- net could fall or be damaged.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the support rod hasbeen released prior to closing the bonnet.
