When this light and SERVICE STABILITRAK comes on,
the system is not operational and needs to be serviced.
Adjust your driving accordingly.
The system comes on automatically whenever the
vehicle is started. To help maintain directional control
of the vehicle, the system should always be left on.
The system can be turned off if needed. If the StabiliTrak
system is turned off, the Traction Control System will
also be turned off. Adjust your driving accordingly.
The Traction Control
button is located on
the console.To turn the system off, press and hold the TCS/
StabiliTrak button until the light comes on the instrument
panel and STABILITRAK OFF comes on the DIC.
The system can be turned back on at any time by
pressing the button. The TCS/StabiliTrak light turns off
and STABILITRAK ON briey comes on the DIC.
If the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) system detects a at
tire and FLAT TIRE comes on the DIC, or if the TPM
system is not working and SERVICE TIRE MONITOR
comes on the DIC, StabiliTrak can be affected in
the following ways:
StabiliTrak cannot be turned off by the driver.
If StabiliTrak is off, it will be turned on automatically.

Speed Rating:An alphanumeric code assigned to
a tire indicating the maximum speed at which a
tire can operate.
Traction
:The friction between the tire and the
road surface. The amount of grip provided.
Tread
:The portion of a tire that comes into
contact with the road.
Treadwear Indicators
:Narrow bands, sometimes
called wear bars, that show across the tread of a
tire when only 1/16 inch (1.6 mm) of tread remains.

UTQGS (Uniform Tire Quality Grading
Standards)
:A tire information system that
provides consumers with ratings for a tire’s
traction, temperature, and treadwear. Ratings
are determined by tire manufacturers using
government testing procedures. The ratings are
molded into the sidewall of the tire. SeeUniform

Vehicle Capacity Weight
:The number of
designated seating positions multiplied by
150 lbs (68 kg) plus the rated cargo load.

Vehicle Maximum Load on the Tire
:Load on an
individual tire due to curb weight, accessory
weight, occupant weight, and cargo weight.Vehicle Placard
:A label permanently attached to
a vehicle showing the vehicle’s capacity weight

Run-Flat Tires
Your vehicle, when new, had run-at tires. There is no
spare tire, no tire changing equipment, and no place to
store a tire in the vehicle. Run-at tires perform so well
without any air that a Tire Pressure Monitor System
(TPMS) is used to alert you if a tire has lost pressure.
{CAUTION:
When the low tire warning light is displayed on the
instrument panel cluster, your vehicle’s handling
capabilities will be reduced during severe
maneuvers. If you drive too fast, you could lose
control of your vehicle. You or others could be
injured. Do not drive over 55 mph (90 km/h) when
the low tire warning light is displayed. Drive
cautiously and check your tire pressures as soon
as you can.

If a Tire Goes Flat
It is unusual for a tire to blow out while you are driving,
especially if you maintain the tires properly. If air
goes out of a tire, it is much more likely to leak out
slowly. SeeTires on page 6-46for additional
information.
This vehicle, when new, had run-at tires. This type of tire
can operate effectively with no air pressure, so you will
not need to stop on the side of the road to change a at
tire. You can just keep on driving. The shorter the
distance you drive and the slower the speed, the greater
the chance that the run-at tire will not have to be
replaced. Run-at tires perform so well without any air
that a Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) is used to alert you if

When the TIRE FLAT MAX SPD 55, REDUCED
HNDLG message is displayed on the Driver
Information Center, the vehicle’s handling

{CAUTION:
Special tools and procedures are required to
service a run-at tire. If these special tools and
procedures are not used you or others could be
injured and the vehicle could be damaged. Always
be sure the proper tools and procedures, as
described in the service manual, are used.
Notice:Using liquid sealants can damage the tire
valves and tire pressure monitor sensors in the
vehicle’s run-at tires. This damage would not be
covered by warranty. Do not use liquid sealants
in the vehicle’s run-at tires.

Services are provided up to 5 years/100,000 miles
(160 000 km), whichever comes rst.
In the U.S., anyone driving the vehicle is covered.
In Canada, a person driving the vehicle without
permission from the owner is not covered.
Roadside Assistance is not a part of the New Vehicle
Limited Warranty. Cadillac and General Motors of
Canada Limited reserve the right to make any changes
or discontinue the Roadside Assistance program at
any time without notication.
Cadillac and General Motors of Canada Limited reserve
the right to limit services or payment to an owner or
driver if they decide the claims are made too often, or
the same type of claim is made many times.
Cadillac Owner Privileges™
Emergency Fuel Delivery:Delivery of enough fuel
for the vehicle to get to the nearest service station.
Lock-Out Service:Service is provided to unlock the
vehicle if you are locked out. A remote unlock may
be available if you have OnStar
®. For security
reasons, the driver must present identication
before this service is given.
Emergency Tow From a Public Road or
Highway:Tow to the nearest Cadillac dealer for
warranty service, or if the vehicle was in a crash and
cannot be driven. Assistance is also given when
the vehicle is stuck in the sand, mud, or snow.
Flat Tire Change:Service is provided to change a
at tire with spare tire. The spare tire, if equipped,
must be in good condition and properly inated.
It is your responsibility for the repair or replacement
of the tire if it is not covered by the warranty.
Battery Jump Start:Service is provided to jump
start a dead battery.
Trip Routing Service:Detailed maps of North
America are provided when requested either
with the most direct route or the most scenic route.
Additional travel information is also available.
Allow three weeks for delivery.
Trip Interruption Benets and Assistance:
If your trip is interrupted due to a warranty failure,
incidental expenses may be reimbursed during
the 5 year/100,000 miles (160 000 km) Powertrain
warranty period. Items considered are hotel,
meals, and rental car.
