RDM (Random):With the random
setting, MP3/WMA les on the
CD-R or CD-RW can be listened to
in random, rather than sequential
order. To play MP3/WMA les from
the CD-R or CD-RW in random
order, press the pushbutton
positioned under the RDM label until
Random Current Disc displays.
Press the same pushbutton again to
turn off random play.
h(Music Navigator):Use the
music navigator feature to play
MP3/WMA les on the CD-R or
CD-RW in order by artist or album.
Press the pushbutton located below
the music navigator label. The player
scans the disc to sort the les by
artist and album ID3 tag information.
It could take several minutes to scan
the disc depending on the number of
MP3/WMA les recorded to the
CD-R or CD-RW disc.
To cancel music navigator while the
player is scanning, press the
pushbutton located below the music
navigator label or eject the disc.The radio can begin playing while it is
scanning the disc in the background.
When the scan is nished, the CD-R
or CD-RW begins playing again.
Once the disc has been scanned, the
player defaults to playing MP3/WMA
les in order by artist. The current
artist playing is shown on the second
line of the display between the
arrows. To listen to MP3/WMA
les by another artist, press the
pushbutton located below either
arrow button. The disc goes to the
next or previous artist in alphabetical
order. Continue pressing either
button until the desired artist is
displayed.
To change from playback by artist to
playback by album, press the
pushbutton located below the Sort
By label. From the sort screen, push
one of the buttons below the album
button. Press the pushbutton below
the back label to return to the main
music navigator screen. Now the
album name displays on the second
line between the arrows and songsfrom the current album begin to play.
Once all songs from that album are
played, the player moves to the next
album in alphabetical order on the
CD-R or CD-RW and begins playing
MP3/WMA les from that album.
To exit music navigator mode, press
the pushbutton below the Back label
to return to normal MP3/WMA
playback.
BAND:Press this button to listen to
the radio when a CD or a DVD is
playing. The CD or DVD remains
inside the radio for future listening or
viewing entertainment.
DVD/CD AUX (Auxiliary):Press
this button to cycle through
DVD, CD, or Auxiliary when listening
to the radio. The DVD/CD text
label and a message showing track
or chapter number displays when
a disc is in either slot. Press
this button again and the system
automatically searches for an
auxiliary input device, such as a
portable audio player. If a portable
audio player is not connected,

in memory for later calls. To prevent
missed calls, a minimum volume
level is used if the volume is turned
down too low.
Bluetooth Controls
Use the buttons located on the
steering wheel to operate the
in-vehicle Bluetooth system. See
Audio Steering Wheel Controls
on page 3-113for more information.
bg(Push To Talk):Press to
answer incoming calls, to conrm
system information, and to start
speech recognition.
cx(Phone On Hook):Press to
end a call, reject a call, or to
cancel an operation.
Pairing
A Bluetooth enabled cell phone
must be paired to the in-vehicle
Bluetooth system rst and then
connected to the vehicle before it
can be used. See the cell phone
manufacturers user guide forBluetooth functions before pairing
the cell phone. If a Bluetooth phone
is not connected, calls will be
made using OnStar
®Hands-Free
Calling, if available. Refer to
the OnStar owner’s guide for more
information.
Pairing Information:
Up to ve cell phones can be
paired to the in-vehicle
Bluetooth system.
The pairing process is disabled
when the vehicle is moving.
The in-vehicle Bluetooth system
automatically links with the rst
available paired cell phone in the
order the phone was paired.
Only one paired cell phone can
be connected to the in-vehicle
Bluetooth system at a time.
Pairing should only need to be
completed once, unless changes
to the pairing information have
been made or the phone is
deleted.To link to a different paired phone,
see Linking to a Different Phone
later in this section.
Pairing a Phone
1. Press and hold
bgfor
two seconds. The system
responds with “Ready” followed
by a tone.
2. Say “Bluetooth”. The system
responds with “Bluetooth
ready” followed by a tone.
3. Say “Pair”. The system responds
with instructions and a four digit
PIN number. The PIN number
will be used in Step 4.
4. Start the Pairing process on the
cell phone that will be paired to
the vehicle. Reference the
cell phone manufacturers user
guide for information on this
process.
Locate the device named
“General Motors” in the list on
the cellular phone and follow the
Instrument Panel 3-93

If a CD or DVD is in the Radio DVD
slot, the remote control
Obutton
can be used to turn on the
video screen display and start the
disc. The radio can also turn on the
video screen display. SeeRadio(s)
on page 3-67for more information.
Notice:Storing the remote
control in a hot area or in direct
sunlight can damage it, and
the repairs will not be covered by
your warranty. Storage in
extreme cold can weaken the
batteries. Keep the remote control
stored in a cool, dry place.Remote Control ButtonsO(Power):Press to turn the
video screen on and off.
P(Illumination):Press to turn the
remote control backlight on. The
backlight automatically times
out after seven to ten seconds if no
other button is pressed while the
backlight is on.
v(Title):Press to return the DVD
to the main menu of the DVD. This
function could vary for each disc.
y(Main Menu):Press to access
the DVD menu. The DVD menu
is different on every DVD. Use the
navigation arrows to move the
cursor around the DVD menu. After
making a selection press the
enter button. This button only
operates when using a DVD.
n,q,p,o(Menu Navigation
Arrows):Use the arrow buttons to
navigate through a menu.

P(Power):Press to turn the RSA
on or off.
Volume: Turn to increase or to
decrease the volume of the wired
headphones. The left knob controls
the left headphones and the
right knob controls the right
headphones.
SRCE (Source): Press to switch
between the radio (AM/FM/XM™),
CD, and if the vehicle has these
features, DVD, front auxiliary, and
rear auxiliary.©¨(Seek): Press to go to the
previous or to the next station
and stay there. This function is
inactive, with some radios, if
the front seat passengers are
listening to the radio.
Press and hold
©or¨until the
display ashes to tune to an
individual station. The display stops
ashing after the buttons have
not been pushed for more than
two seconds. This function is inactive, with some radios, if the
front seat passengers are listening
to the radio.
While listening to a disc, press

to go to the next track or chapter on

the start of the current track or
chapter (if more than ten seconds

PROG (Program): Press to go
to the next preset radio station or
channel set on the main radio. This
function is inactive, with some
radios, if the front seat passengers
are listening to the radio.

3. Press the Remote Keyless
Entry (RKE) transmitter’s LOCK
and UNLOCK buttons at the
same time for approximately
ve seconds. The horn sounds
twice to signal the receiver
is in relearn mode and TIRE
LEARNING ACTIVE message
displays on the DIC screen.
4. Start with the driver side
front tire.
5. Remove the valve cap from the
valve cap stem. Activate the
TPMS sensor by increasing or
decreasing the tire’s air pressure
for ve seconds, or until a horn
chirp sounds. The horn chirp,
which may take up to 30 seconds
to sound, conrms that the sensor
identication code has been
matched to this tire and wheel
position.
6. Proceed to the passenger side
front tire, and repeat the
procedure in Step 5.7. Proceed to the passenger side
rear tire, and repeat the
procedure in Step 5.
8. Proceed to the driver side rear
tire, and repeat the procedure in
Step 5. The horn sounds two
times to indicate the sensor
identication code has been
matched to the driver side rear
tire, and the TPMS sensor
matching process is no longer
active. The TIRE LEARNING
ACTIVE message on the DIC
display screen goes off.
9. Turn the ignition switch to
LOCK/OFF.
10. Set all four tires to the
recommended air pressure level
as indicated on the Tire and
Loading Information label.
11. Put the valve caps back on the
valve stems.Tire Inspection and
Rotation
We recommend that you
regularly inspect the vehicle’s
tires, including the spare tire, if
the vehicle has one, for signs of
wear or damage. SeeWhen It Is
Time for New Tires on page 5-50
for more information.
Tires should be rotated every
5,000 to 8,000 miles (8 000 to
13 000 km). SeeScheduled
Maintenance on page 6-3.
The purpose of a regular tire
rotation is to achieve a uniform
wear for all tires on the vehicle.
This will ensure that the vehicle
continues to perform most like it
did when the tires were new.
Any time you notice unusual
wear, rotate the tires as soon
as possible and check wheel
alignment. Also check for
damaged tires or wheels.

When cleaning the vehicle’s interior,
only use cleaners specically
designed for the surfaces being
cleaned. Permanent damage may
result from using cleaners on
surfaces for which they were not
intended. Use glass cleaner only on
glass. Remove any accidental
over-spray from other surfaces
immediately. To prevent over-spray,
apply cleaner directly to the
cleaning cloth.
Notice:Using abrasive cleaners
when cleaning glass surfaces
on the vehicle, could scratch the
glass and/or cause damage to
the rear window defogger. When
cleaning the glass on the
vehicle, use only a soft cloth and
glass cleaner.Many cleaners contain solvents that
may become concentrated in the
vehicle’s breathing space. Before
using cleaners, read and adhere to
all safety instructions on the
label. While cleaning the vehicle’s
interior, maintain adequate
ventilation by opening the vehicle’s
doors and windows.
Dust may be removed from small
buttons and knobs using a small
brush with soft bristles.
Products that remove odors from
the vehicle’s upholstery and
clean the vehicle’s glass can be
obtained from your dealer/retailer.Do not clean the vehicle using:
A knife or any other sharp object
to remove a soil from any interior
surface.
A stiff brush. It can cause
damage to the vehicle’s interior
surfaces.
Heavy pressure or aggressive
rubbing with a cleaning cloth. Use
of heavy pressure can damage
the interior and does not improve
the effectiveness of soil removal.
Laundry detergents or
dishwashing soaps with
degreasers can leave residue that
streaks and attracts dirt. For liquid
cleaners, about 20 drops per
gallon (3.78 L) of water is a good
guide. Use only mild, neutral-pH
soaps.
Too much cleaner that saturates
the upholstery.
Organic solvents such as naptha,
alcohol, etc. that can damage the
vehicle’s interior.
