Dipstick reading checks OK
If the oil pressure warning symbol "t=7': starts flashing
again even though the engine oil level checks OK on the
dipstick,
do not continue driving and do not let the
engine run in idle.
Instead, contact your authorized Audi
dealer for assistance .
[ i] Tips
• The engine oil pressure symbol ~ is not an indicator for a low
engine oil level. Do not rely on it . Instead, check the oil level in your
engine at regular intervals, preferably each time you refuel, and
always before going on a long trip .
• The yellow oil level warning indication requires oil refill or
workshop service without delay . Do not wait until the red oil pres
sure warning
~ starts to flash before you respond to the low oil
level warning _ . By then, your engine may already have suffered
serious damage. •

Tire pressure monitoring system
General notes l )
Each tire, including the spare (if provided), should be checked
monthly when co ld and inflated to the inflation pressure recom
mended by the vehicle manufacturer on the vehicle placard or tire
inflation pressure label. (If your vehicle has tires of a different size
than the size indicated on the vehicle placard or tire inflation pres
sure label, you should determine the proper tire inflation pressure
for those tires.)
As an added safety feature, your vehicle has been equipped with a
tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) that illuminates a low tire pressure telltale when one or more of your tires is significantly
under-inf lated . Accordingly, when the low tire pressure telltale illu
minates, you should stop and check your tires as soon as possible,
and inflate them to the proper pressure. Driving on a significantly
under -inflated tire causes the tire to overheat and can lead to tire
failure. Under-inflation also reduces fuel efficiency and tire tread
life, and may affect the vehicle's handling and stopping ability.
Please note that the TPMS is not a substitute for proper tire mainte
nance, and it is the driver's responsibility to maintain correct tire .,_

[ i ] Tip s
• Each tire should be checked monthly when cold and set to the
recommended inf lation pressure as spec ified on the tire pressure
table ~
page 351 .
• The tire pressure monitoring system he lps the driver to keep an
eye on t ire pressures . But the driver stil l has the responsibility for
maintaining the correct tire pressure .
• Tire pressure must only be adjusted when the tempera ture of the
tires is about the same as ambient air temperature .
• When tires are replaced , the sensors and valves should no t be
detached or exchanged. Only the valve core needs to be rep laced
and , if necessary , the valve and the wheel electronics replaced .
• If you should put different wheels and tires on your vehicle (e.g.
winter wheels and tires) , you must be certain that the wheels and
tires are compatible with the tire pressure monitoring system.
Otherwise the system will regis ter a ma lfunction and a fault
message will be displayed . For more information, contact your
