P ASS ENGER AIR B AG OFF light sh oul d not come
o n and sh ould stay off .. When the PAS SENGER
AIR BAG OFF light is off, the fron t airba g on the
passenger side may or may no t dep loy de­
pending on the natur e of the co llisio n as regis­
tered by the electronic co ntrol unit.
For example , th e airb ag may deploy in the " low
risk " mode if:
