Driving position memor y system
Your preferred driving position (th e position of the driver ’s seat,
steering wheel and outside rear view mirrors) can be entered into the
computer ’s memory and recalled with
the touch of a button. It is also
possible to set this function to activate automatically when the
doors are unlocked.
Three different driving positions can be entered into memory.
nEntering a position to memory
Check that the shift lever is set in “P”.
Switch to IGNITION ON mode.
Adjust the driver ’s seat, steering wheel, and outside rear
view mirrors to the desired positions.
While pressing the “SET” but−
ton, press button “1”, “2” or “3”
until the signal beeps.
If the selected button has
already been preset, the previ−
ously recorded position will be
overwritten.
nRecalling the memorized position
Check that the shift lever is set in “P”.
Switch to IGNITION ON mode.
Press button “1”, “2” or “3” to
recall the desired position.

nRetained accessory power
Each memorized position (except for the steering wheel position) can be
activated within 30 seconds after the driver ’s door is opened, even if the
“ENGINE START STOP” switch turns off.
nTo cancel seat position recall
Perform any one of the following operations.
lPress the “SET” button
lPress button “1”, “2” or “3”.
lAdjust the seat using the switches (only cancels seat position recall)
nIf the battery is disconnected
The memorized positions must be reset because the computer ’s memory is
erased when the battery is disconnected.
CAUTION
nSeat adjustment caution
Take care during seat adjustment that the seat does not strike the rear pas−
senger or squeeze your body against the steering wheel.

When driving
Instrument panel light control
The brightness of the instrument panel lights can be adjusted.
Darker
Brighter Odometer and trip meter
Odometer: Displays the total distance the vehicle has been driven.
Trip meter: Displays the distance the vehicle has been driven since the
meter was last reset. Trip meters A and B can be used to record and
display different distances independently.
Engine oil pressure gauge
Displays the engine oil pressure.
Odometer/trip meter and trip meter reset button
Switches between odometer and trip meter displays. Pushing and hold−
ing the button will reset the trip meter when the trip meter is being dis−
played.

When driving
nCruise control can be set when
lThe shift lever is in the “D” or “4”, “5” or “6” range of “S”.
lVehicle speed is more than approximately 25 mph (40 km/h).
nAccelerating
The vehicle can be accelerated normally. After acceleration, the set speed
resumes.
nAutomatic cruise control cancelation
The set speed is automatically canceled in any of the following situations.
lActual vehicle speed falls more than 10 mph (16 km/h) below the preset
vehicle speed.
At this time, the memorized set speed is not retained.
lActual vehicle speed is below 25 mph (40 km/h).

VSC is activated.
nCanceling and resuming regular acceleration
Cancel
Push the lever towards you to
cancel cruise control.

celed when the brakes are

Resume
To resume cruise control and
return to the set speed, push

Interior features
Setting station presets
Search for desired stations by turning or pressing “ ” or
“ ” on .
Press and hold the button (from to ) the sta−
tion is to be set to, and you hear a beep.
Scanning radio stations
nScanning the preset radio stations
Press and hold until you hear a beep.
Preset stations will be played for a few seconds each.
When the desired station is reached, press once
again.
nScanning all radio stations within range
Press .
“SCAN” appears on the display and all stations with reception
will be played for a few seconds each.

Interior features
nDisplaying radio text messages
Press .
If MSG is shown on the display, a text message will be displayed.
If the text continues past the end of the display, is displayed. Press
and hold until you hear a beep.
nTraffic announcement
Press .
“TRAF SEEK” appears on the display, and the radio will start seeking
any station broadcasting traffic program information.
If no traffic program station is found, “NO TRAF INFO” appears on the
display.
nWhen the battery is disconnected
All preset stations are erased.
nReception sensitivity
lMaintaining perfect radio reception at all times is difficult due to the con−
tinually changing position of the antenna, differences in signal strength
and surrounding objects, such as trains, transmitters, etc.

The radio antenna is mounted inside the rear quarter window. To main−
tain clear radio reception, do not attach metallic window tinting or other
metallic objects to the antenna wire mounted inside the rear quarter win−
dow.
