This command is used to test the operation of headlight washer 2 or for locking the
glovebox if the vehicle is fitted with one of these functions: This command is only active
for UPC Vdiag 44 (see System operation).
The command lasts 3 seconds.
Use Wiring Diagrams Technical Note for MEGANE II or SCENIC II.
Headlight washer 2 relay
Check for earth on connections 39A
and 39C of component 219.
Is there an earth?Not on connection 39C.
YES
Not on connection 39A.With the command running, check for + 12 V on
connection 39C of component 219.
Is there + 12 V?NO
YES
Replace the headlight washer pump.
Run the fault finding procedure for
command AC030 Headlight washer 1
relay.
AFTER REPAIRCarry out another fault finding check on the system.
Clear the stored faults.
Deal with any other faults.

DRIVER'S SIDE EXTERNAL AERIAL TEST
NOTESBefore performing this command, it is essential to perform command AC037
Transmitter aerial diagnostic to ensure there is no aerial fault.
There must be no present or stored faults.
This command is for checking the hands-free access zones around the vehicle and
functions even if the hands-free card does not belong to the vehicle.
Special note:
This command is for testing correct operation of the driver-side external aerials.
This command takes 1 minute.
View the flashing of the card reader.
Use Wiring Diagrams Technical Note for MEGANE II or SCENIC II.
Front door
Check the condition and connection of the aerial connector (bent, broken tabs, etc.).
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector; otherwise, replace the wiring.
Check the condition and connection of the PE3 connector of the UCH (tabs bent, broken, etc.).
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector; otherwise, replace the wiring.
Check the insulation and continuity of the following connections to + 12 V and to earth:
●Connection code 26AA.
●Connection code 26AB between components 645 and 1374.
If the connection or connections are faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical
wiring repair, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
If the fault is still present, contact Techline.
AFTER REPAIRCarry out another fault finding check on the system.

BOOT EXTERNAL AERIAL TEST
NOTESBefore performing this command, it is essential to perform command AC037
Transmitter aerial diagnostic to ensure there is no aerial fault.
There must be no present or stored faults.
This command is for checking the hands-free boot access zone and works even if the
hands-free card does not belong to the vehicle.
Special note:
This command is for testing correct operation of the external aerial on the boot side.
If the range exceeds 1.50 m, check that there is no short circuit to the aerial earth.
This command takes 1 minute.
View the flashing of the card reader.

If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector; otherwise, replace the wiring.
Check the condition and connection of the PE3 connector of the UCH (tabs bent, broken, etc.).
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector; otherwise, replace the wiring.
Check the insulation and continuity of the following connections to + 12 V and to earth:
●Connection code 26AT.
●Connection code 26AU between components 645 and 1396.
If the connection or connections are faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical

If one (or more) fault(s) concerning the aerials appear(s), refer to the processing of this (these) fault(s).

CHILD SAFETY LOCK INDICATOR LIGHT

This command is for testing child safety lock indicator light operation.
The command lasts 7 seconds.

The child safety lock switch light does not light up when the command is activated.
Check the condition and connection of the child safety lock switch connector.
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector; otherwise, replace the wiring.
Check for + 12 V on connection BPT of component 135.
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical

Check the condition and connection of connector PE1 on the UCH
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector; otherwise, replace the wiring.
Check the insulation and continuity of the following connection:
●Connection code 20T between components 645 and 135.
If the connection is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
If the fault is still present, contact Techline.
