Normal driving
Two driving modes are offered:
- sequential mode for manual
changing of the gears by the
driver,
- automatic mode for automatic
management of the gears
b y t h e g e a r b o x . I n a u t o m a t i c
mode, you can take control at
any time by
using the steering
wheel controls, when overtaking
for example

This comes on for a few seconds each
time the ignition is switched on.
W h e n t h i s l i g h t fi r s t c o m e s o n , y o u
have enough fuel to drive approxi-
m a t e l y 3 0 m i l e s ( 5 0 k m ) (The tank
capacity is approximately 40 litres).
W a t e r i n d i e s e l f i l t e r
i n d i c a t o r
This comes on for a few seconds each
time the ignition is switched on.
If it comes on, with the engine run-
ning, this indicates that there is a risk
o f d a m a g e t o t h e i n j e c t i o n s y s t e m .
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer as soon
as possible.
D i e s e l e n g i n e p r e - h e a t
warning light
Wait until the warning light goes out
before starting the engine.
If the temperature is high enough,
the warning light comes on for less
than one second. You can start the
engine without waiting. P a s s e n g e r a i r b a g
d i s a r m e d w a r n i n g l i g h t
This comes on for a few seconds each
time the ignition is switched on.
If the passenger air bag is disarmed,
the warning light remains on.
Always consult a PEUGEOT dealer if
t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t fl a s h e s .
S e a t b e l t n o t f a s t e n e d
warning light
When the ignition is switched
on, this warning light comes
on if the driver (and/or a passenger)
has not fastened his seat belt.
Above 12 mph (20 km/h), this warning
l i g h t fl a s h e s f o r t w o m i n u t e s a c c o m -
panied by an audible signal which
becomes progressively louder. Once
the two minutes have elapsed, the
warning light remains on until the driver
(and/or passenger) fastens his seat
belt.
T h e d r i v e r m u s t e n s u r e t h a t a l l
p a s s e n g e r s f a s t e n a n d u s e t h e
s e a t b e l t s c o r r e c t l y . Door open warning
light
This comes on if a door, the bonnet
or the boot is still open.
Above 6 mph (10 km/h), this warning
light is accompanied by an audible
signal and a message on the multi-
function display.

l i g h t ( " 2 T r o n i c " g e a r b o x )
When this warning light comes on,
you must put your foot on the brake
(example: when starting the engine).
If you do not put your foot on the

This comes on for a few seconds each
time the ignition is switched on.
With the engine running, illumination
of this warning light, accompanied
by an audible signal, indicates a fault
in the front, steering column, side or
curtain air bags.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
E m i s s i o n c o n t r o l
s y s t e m w a r n i n g l i g h t
This comes on each time the ignition
is switched on and remains on until
the engine is started.
If it comes on, with the engine run-
ning, it indicates a malfunction of the
emission control system.

MIRRORS
- from outside:
lock the vehicle using the remote
control or the key.
Note : if the mirrors are folded using
switch A , they will not unfold when
the vehicle is unlocked using the
remote control or the key. Switch A
must be turned again. Manual interior mirror
The interior mirror has two positions:
- day (normal),
- night (anti-dazzle).
To change from one to the other,
push or pull the lever on the lower
edge of the mirror.
STEERING WHEEL HEIGHT AND DEPTH ADJUSTMENT
When the vehicle is stationary, unlock
the steering wheel by pulling handle
A .
Adjust the height and depth of the
steering wheel.
Lock it by pushing handle A down
fully.
Demisting
To demist the mirrors, with the engine
running, press the rear screen demi-
sting button.
Folding
When parked, the mirrors can be
folded back manually.

folding:
- from inside:
with the ignition on, turn switch A
downwards.
Objects observed in the mirrors
are, in reality, closer than they
appear.
Take this into account to as-
sess correctly the distance of vehicles
approaching from the rear.
Electric exterior mirrors
Adjustment
Turn switch A to the right or to the
left to select the corresponding
mirror.
Move this switch in all four direc-
tions to adjust.
Return switch A to the centre
position. Unfolding
When parked, the mirrors can be un-
folded manually.

unfolding:
- from inside:
with the ignition on, turn switch A
to the central position.
- from outside:
unlock the vehicle using the remote
control or the key.
The folding and unfolding of the ex-
terior mirrors can be deactivated by
a PEUGEOT dealer.

Press one of the spokes of the
steering wheel.
HAZARD WARNING LIGHTS
Press the button, the direction indica-
t o r s fl a s h .
They can operate with the ignition off.
Automatic lighting of hazard
warning lights
When braking in an emergency, de-
pending on the force of deceleration,
the hazard warning lights come on au-
tomatically. They switch off automati-
c a l l y t h e fi r s t t i m e y o u a c c e l e r a t e .
It is also possible to switch them off
by pressing the button on the fascia.
TYRE UNDER-INFLATION DETECTION

Flat tyre This warning light comes
on on the instrument panel,
accompanied by an audible
signal and a message on the
multifunction display locating
the wheel concerned.
Check the tyre pressures as
soon as possible.
This check must be carried out when
the tyres are cold.
