●
The key is a precision electroni
c device with a built-in sig-
nal transmitter. Please observe the following in order to prevent damage. • Do not leave where it may be exposed to heat caused bydirect sunlight, such as on top of the dashboard. • Do not take the remote control transmitter apart. • Do not excessively bend the key or subject it to strongimpacts. • Keep the remote control transmitter dry. • Keep away from magnetic objects such as key holders.• Keep away from devices th
at produce magnetism, such
as audio systems, computers and televisions. • Do not clean with
ultrasonic cleaners.
• Do not leave the key where it may be exposed to high temperature or high humidity.
●
The engine is designed so that it will not start if the ID code registered in the immobi
lizer computer and the key’s
ID code do not match. Refer to the section entitled “Elec- tronic immobilizer” for details and key usage.
Electronic immobilizer
(Anti-theft starting system)
E00300201087
The electronic immobilizer is de
signed to reduce significantly
the possibility of vehicle theft. The purpose of the system is to immobilize the vehicle if an inva
lid start is attempted. A valid
start attempt can only be achieved using a key “registered” to the immobilizer system.

Seat belt pre-tensioner system and force
limiter system
E00405700081
The driver’s seat and front passenger’s seat each have a seat belt equipped with a pre-tensioner system.Pre-tensioner system
E00405800747
The pre-tensioner system will re
tract their respective seat belts
instantaneously, thus maximizing the seat belt’s effectiveness, if there is a frontal impact severe enough to injure the driver and/or front passenger and the ignition switch is in the “ON” or“START” position.
WARNING
!●
Seat belts work for everyone, including pregnant women. Pregnant women should use the available seat belts. This will reduce the likelihood of injury to both the woman and the unborn child. The lap beltshould be worn across the
thighs and as snug against
the hips as possible, but not across the waist. Consult your doctor if you have
any additional questions or
concerns.
WARNING
!●
To obtain the best results from your pre-tensioner seat belt, make sure you
have adjusted your seat
correctly and wear your seat belt properly.CAUTION
!●
Installation of audio equipment or repairs in the vicinity of the pre-tension
er seat belts or floor con-
sole must be performed in line with MITSUBISHI MOTORS guidelines. It is important to do so because the work could aff
ect the pre-tensioner sys-
tems.

Turn the dial to adjust the i
llumination (meter, multi centre dis-
play, audio system’s control panel, heater control panel, etc.) tothe desired brightness.NOTE●
The meter brightness
stays memorized.
CAUTION
!●
If the indication needle en
ters the H zone while the
engine is running, it indica
tes that the engine is pos-
sibly overheating. Immediat
ely park your vehicle in
a safe place and make th

●
Except for vehicles with MITSUBISHI genuine audio: “Manual mode” only
Automatic mode (MITSUBISHI genuine audio)The automatic adjustment mode can set the local time automat- ically by using the signal from the local RDS stations. In this mode, “CT” (A) (Clock Time:

shows the incorrect time when
the adjacent local RDS stations
are located in a different time zo
