■When the 12-volt battery is disconnected
Station presets are erased.
■Radio antenna type
●Detachable antenna
To remove a detachable antenna, carefully turn it counterclockwise.
●Wire antenna
The radio antenna is mounted inside the rear window.
■Reception sensitivity
●Maintaining perfect radio reception at all times is difficult due to the continually
changing position of the antenna, differences in signal strength and surrounding
objects, such as trains, transmitters, etc.
●To maintain clear radio reception, do not attach metallic window tinting or other
metallic objects to the antenna wire mounted inside the rear window.
■Receiving XM® Satellite Radio
An XM
® Satellite Radio is a tuner designed exclusively to receive broadcasts pro-
vided under a separate subscription. Availability is limited to the 48 contiguous
states and 10 Canadian provinces.

If the following lights remain ON when the door is not fully closed and the interior
light switch is in the DOOR position, the lights will go off automatically after 20
minutes.

●Install a new battery in the transmitter.
●The battery side of the transmitter must be pointed away from the HomeLink.

■Conditions unfavorable to correct operation
The compass may not show the correct direction in the following conditions:
●The vehicle is stopped immediately after turning.
●The vehicle is on an inclined surface.
●The vehicle is in a place where the earth's magnetic field is subject to interference
by artificial magnetic fields (underground car park/parking lot, under a steel
tower, between buildings, roof car park/parking lot, near an intersection, near a
large vehicle, etc.).
●The vehicle has become magnetized.
(There is a magnet or metal object near the inside rear view mirror.)
●The battery has been disconnected.
●A door is open.

■Cleaning the inside of the rear window
Do not use glass cleaner to clean the rear window, as this may cause damage to the
rear window defogger heater wires or antenna. Use a cloth dampened with luke-
warm water to gently wipe the window clean. Wipe the window in strokes running
parallel to the heater wires or antenna.
■Caring for leather areas
Lexus recommends cleaning the interior of the vehicle at least twice a year to main-
tain the quality of the vehicle’s interior.
■Shampooing the carpets
There are several commercial foaming-type cleaners available. Use a sponge or
brush to apply the foam. Rub in overlapping circles. Do not apply water. The excel-
lent results are obtained by keeping the carpet as dry as possible.
■Seat belts
Clean with mild soap and lukewarm water using a cloth or sponge. Also check the
belts periodically for excessive wear, fraying or cuts.
CAUTION
■Water in the vehicle
●Do not splash or spill liquid in the vehicle, such as on the floor, in the hybrid bat-
tery (traction battery) air vents.
Doing so may cause the hybrid battery, electrical components etc. to malfunction
or catch fire.
●Do not get any of the SRS components or wiring in the vehicle interior wet.

Electrical malfunction may cause the airbags to deploy or not function properly,
resulting in death or severe injury.
