Automatic door locking and unlocking systems
The following functions can be set or cancelled:
To switch between setting and canceling, follow the procedure below: Close all the doors and turn the engine switch to the ON position.
(Perform the step 2 within 10 seconds.)
Shift the shift lever to P or N, and press and hold the driver's door
lock switch (
or ) for approximately 5 seconds and then
release.
The shift lever and switch positions corresponding to the desired func-
tion to be set or canceled are shown as follows.

Speed linked door locking
functionAll doors are locked when the vehicle speed is

opened within 10 seconds after turning the engine
switch to the LOCK position.

■The power back door can be opened when
The engine switch is in the ON position, and the shift lever is in P.
■Jam protection function
If anything obstructs the power back door while it is closing/opening, the back door
will automatically operate in the opposite direction.
■If the power back door does not work
The back door must be initialized. To initialize, close the back door completely by
hand.
■Customization that can be configured at Lexus dealer
Settings (e.g. beep sound) can be changed. (Customizable features →P. 4 5 8 )
CAUTION
Observe the following precautions.
Falling to do so may result in death or serious injury.
■Keep the back door closed while driving
If the back door is opening, the luggage will be thrown out and exhaust gases will be
entered in the vehicle.
■When the back door is opened while parking
The open back door hides the rear lights. Other road users must be warned of the
presence of your vehicle by a warning triangle or other device.
■Operating the power back door
●Check to make sure that passengers do not have any part of their body in a posi-
tion where it could be caught or hit when the back door is being operated.
●Careful attention is needed so as not to get your fingers trapped as the back door
automatically closes when it has not been fully closed.
●Do not allow children to operate the back door.
Closing the back door on someone can cause serious injury, and in some
instances, even death.

Driving position memory (if equipped)
Your preferred driving position (the position of the driver's seat, steering
wheel and outside rear view mirrors) can be memorized and recalled with
the touch of a button.
Two different driving positions can be entered into memory.
■ Entering a position to memory
Check that the shift lever is set in P.
Turn the engine switch to the ON position.
Adjust the driver’s seat, steering wheel, and outside rear view
mirrors to the desired positions. While pushing the SET button,
push button 1 or 2 until the sig-
nal beeps.
If the selected button has
already been preset, the previ-
ously recorded position will be
overwritten.
■Recalling the memorized position
Check that the shift lever is set in P.
Turn the engine switch to the ON position. Push button 1 or 2 to recall the
memorized position.

■Retained accessory power
Memorized positions (except for the steering wheel positions) can be activated up
to 30 seconds after the driver's door is opened, even if the key is removed from the
engine switch.
■If any position memory button is push ed while the adjustments are being mode
The operation will stop. To reactivate the system, push the desired button (1 or 2)
again.
■If the battery is disconnected
The memorized are erased when the battery is disconnected.
CAUTION
■Seat adjustment caution
Take care during seat adjustment that the seat does not strike the rear passenger or
squeeze your body against the steering wheel.

Anti-glare inside rear view mirror
■To prevent sensor error
CAUTION
■Caution while driving
Do not adjust the position of the mirror while driving.
Doing so may lead to mishandling of the vehicle and an accident, resulting in death
or serious injury.
In automatic mode, sensors are used to detect the headlights of vehicles
behind and automatically reduces the reflected light.
To turn automatic mode on/
off, press and hold the switch
for 3 seconds.
The indicator comes on when
automatic mode is turned on.
The anti-glare mirror default
mode is automatic mode. The
anti-glare mirror is automati-
cally set to automatic mode
whenever the engine switch is in
the ON position.
To ensure that the sensors operate properly,

Outside rear view mirrors
■When the mirrors are fogged up
Turn on the outside rear view mirror defoggers to defog the mirrors. (→P. 2 0 4 )
■Folding back the mirrors
■One-touch adjustment of the mirror angle (vehicles with driving position mem-
ory)
A desired mirror face angle can be entered to memory and adjusted with the touch
of a button. (→ P. 5 5 )
Mirror angle can be adjusted using the switch when the engine switch is in
the ACC or ON position.

■The power windows can be operated when

■Door lock linked window operation
●The power windows can be opened and closed using the key. (→P. 3 9 )
●The power windows can be opened using the wireless remote control. ( →P. 3 6 )
■Retained accessory power
The power windows can be operated for approximately 45 seconds even after the
engine switch is turned to the ACC or LOCK position. They cannot, however, be
operated once either front door is opened.
■Jam protection function
If an object becomes caught between the window and the window frame, window
travel is stopped and the window is opened slightly.
■If the power window does not work correctly
The power windows must be initialized in order to ensure proper operation. (Per-
form for each window with the switch for each seat.)
Open the window halfway.
Fully close the window by pulling the switch up and continue holding the
switch for one second.
The indicator on the switch changes from a flashing pattern to being on when initial
settings are complete.
