NOTE:On this vehicle, the DRLs will automatically
turn off when the turn signals or hazard warning flashers
are in operation and automatically turn back on when the
turn signals or hazard warning flashers are not operating.
WINDSHIELD WIPERS AND WASHERS
The wipers and washers are operated by a switch
on the Multifunction Control Lever. The Multi-
function Control Lever is located on the right side
of the steering column.
Windshield Washers
To use the washer, pull the Multifunction Control Lever
toward you and hold while spray is desired. If the
Multifunction Control Lever is pulled while in the delay
range, the wiper will operate on LOW speed for two
wipe cycles after the lever is released, and then resume
the intermittent interval previously selected.If the Multifunction Control Lever is pulled while in the
OFF position, the wipers will operate for two wipe cycles,
then turn OFF.

Mist Feature
Push down on the Multifunction Control Lever to acti-
vate a single wipe to clear the windshield of road mist or
spray from a passing vehicle. As long as the Multifunc-
tion Control Lever is held down, the wipers will continue
to operate.CAUTION!
In cold weather, always turn off the wiper switch and
allow the wipers to return to the park position before
turning off the engine. If the wiper switch is left on
and the wipers freeze to the windshield, damage to
the wiper motor may occur when the vehicle is
restarted.

Body Lubrication
Locks and all body pivot points, including such items as
seat tracks, doors, liftgate and hood hinges, should be
lubricated periodically to assure quiet, easy operation
and to protect against rust and wear. Prior to the appli-
cation of any lubricant, the parts concerned should be
wiped clean to remove dust and grit. After lubricating,
excess oil and grease should be removed. Particular
attention should also be given to hood latching compo-
nents to ensure proper function. When performing other
underhood services, the hood latch, release mechanism
and safety catch should be cleaned and lubricated.
The external lock cylinders should be lubricated twice a
year, preferably in the Fall and Spring. Apply a small
amount of a high quality lubricant such as MoparLock
Cylinder Lubricant directly into the lock cylinder.
Windshield Wiper Blades
Clean the rubber edges of the wiper blades and the
windshield periodically with a sponge or soft cloth and a
mild, nonabrasive cleaner or use the washer solvent. This
will remove accumulations of salt, waxes or road film
and help reduce streaking and smearing.
Operation of the wipers on dry glass for long periods
may cause deterioration of the wiper blades. Always use
washer fluid when using the wipers to remove salt or dirt
from a dry windshield. Avoid using the wiper blades to
remove frost or ice from the windshield. Make sure that
they are not frozen to the glass before turning them on to
avoid damaging the blade. Keep the blade rubber out of
contact with petroleum products such as engine oil,
gasoline, etc.
