Locking/unlocking from the inside
With the doors and the boot closed, pressing button A allows you to control the electric central locking and unlocking.
It is still possible to open the doors from the inside.
If one of the doors is open or not properly closed, central locking will not work.

Anti-theft protection
On starting the vehicle, the system automatically locks the doors as soon as you reach approximately 10 km/h.
Note: If a door is opened, this will automatically lock itself again when the vehicle reaches approximately 10 km/h (6 mph).
Activation/Deactivation of the anti-intrusion protection
After switching on the ignition, make a long press on the central unlocking control until a message is displayed and a beep is heard.
Selection of doors / boot
After having selected “Plip action / Driver” in the “Vehicle parameters / Comfort” menu of the instrument panel screen.
Pressing the remote control unlocks the passenger door.
A 2nd successive press unlocks all of the doors and the boot.
If you decide to drive with the doors locked, remember that in the event of an accident this renders access more diffi -cult for the emergency services.
The warning lamp associated with the control A signals 3 statuses:lt fl ashes when the ignition key is in the stop position or when the key is not detected and the doors are locked.
It lights up when the vehi-cle is locked with the ignition switched on.It goes out when the doors are not locked.
Note: Control A is inactive if the vehicle has been locked using the remote control or the key.

Manual operation (Emergency mode)
Driver's door
Insert the key into the lock to lock/unlock the door.
Passenger doors
It is possible to lock the passenger doors in the event of an electrical fault by using control B on each door:With the door open, unclip the plastic cover.
Insert an object, such as the end of a key, into the cavity and turn.
Replace the plastic cover.
Close the door.
After this operation, normal opera-tion resumes using the central unlocking control (inside the vehi-cle), the remote control or the key.

Manual closing
Lower the tailgate using the interior handle B.
Electric closing
Press the push-button C to close the tailgate.
Note : do not interrupt the closing of the tailgate ; if any obstacle pre-vents it closing, the operation will stop and the tailgate will automati-cally rise by a few centimetres.
TAILGATE (TOURER)
Manual opening
Press upwards on lever A and lift up the tailgate.
Electric opening
Press upwards on lever A, or press button B of the remote control.
Locking/unlocking
With the vehicle stationary, this is carried out using:
The remote control.
The key in a door lock.The interior central locking/unlocking control.

In order to avoid risk of injury, make sure that no-one is in the vicin-ity of the boot when carrying out an electric opening manoeuvre.
Interrupting the opening/closing of the tailgate
When the tailgate is being closed electrically, you can interrupt its movement at any point by pressing the tailgate push-button C.
Note : After an interruption, the tailgate is held electrically in an intermediate position for about 10 minutes. After this period, the system automatically goes to standby and releases the tailgate.
To exit the intermediate position mode, close the tailgate electrically or manually.
Memorisation of an intermediate position
You can store an opening angle for the tailgate:Manually or automatically move the tailgate to the required posi-tion.
Make a long press on the push-button C. The system emits a beep.
Release the push-button C.
Cancelling the memorisation
With the tailgate in the intermedi-ate position, you can cancel the stored position :Make a long press on the push-button C. The system emits a beep.
Release the push-button C. The tailgate reverts to the fully open position.





The tailgate automatically locks when the vehicle is moving at a speed of over 10 km/h (6 mph), even if automatic central locking is deactivated. It is unlocked when a door is opened or when the central locking button is pressed (at a speed of less than 10 km/h (6 mph)).

B. Soft air conditioning diffusion grille.The soft diffusion grille located in the centre of the dashboard provides an optimum air distribution for the front seats.
This device eliminates unpleasant air currents whilst maintainin g an optimum tempera-ture in the passenger compartment.
To open the soft air diffusion grille, move the control knob upwards.
To close the soft air diffusion grille, move the control knob all the way down.
In very hot weather, to improve the central and lateral ventilation, closing off the soft diffusion air conditioning is recommended.

You are advised to use the auto-matic air conditioning regulation. This automatically regulates the following functions for maximum comfort : air fl ow, passenger com-partment temperature, and air dis-tribution, using different sensors (external temperature, sunlight). This avoids the need to alter any of the settings, with the exception of the temperature displayed.
Take care not to obstruct the sun-light sensor A.
Provided you retain automatic mode (by pressing button “AUTO”) and all the air vents are open, you will maintain an optimum comfort level, also removing humidity and misting, whatever the ambient cli-matic conditions.
The temperature inside the cabin cannot be lower than the tempera-ture outside if the air conditioning is not operating.
To be effective, the air conditioning should only be used with the win-dows closed. If after a lengthy stop in bright sunlight the interior tem-perature is excessive, air the pas-senger compartment by opening the windows for a few moments, then close them again.
Air circulation
For your comfort we advise you to maintain a proper distribution of air within the cabin, both at the front and at the rear.
To obtain an even distribution of air, ensure that you do not obstruct the external air inlet grille located at the base of the windscreen, the air vents, the air outlets on the fl oor underneath the front seats, and the air extractor located behind the fl aps in the boot.
The front and rear air vents are fi t-ted with control knobs which allow you to control and direct the air fl ow. It is recommended to keep all the air vents open.
Dust/pollen fi lter
There is a fi lter for excluding pollen and dust.
This fi lter has to be changed accord-ing to the vehicle maintenance sched-ule. See “Maintenance Guide”.
To ensure the correct operation of the air conditioning system, it is essential to operate the air condi-tioning at least once a month.
The air conditioning operates by using power from the engine. This results in a slight increase in fuel consumption.
In certain extreme operating con-ditions (e.g. carrying a full load up a steep gradient in high tempera-tures), the switching off of the air conditioning allows more power to be transferred to the engine, thereby increasing the towing capacity.
Air inlet
Check that the exterior grille for the air inlet, at the bottom of the wind-screen, is clean and free of dead leaves, snow, etc.
If washing the vehicle with a high pressure jet, avoid targeting the air inlet zone.

The monozone system regulates the temperature, air distribution and air fl ow for the whole of the passenger compartment.
This is the normal operating mode for the system. Depend-ing on the level of comfort chosen, a press on this button, confi rmed by light A coming on, allows all of the following functions to be automatically and simultane-ously controlled:
Air fl ow.
Cabin temperature.
Air distribution.
Air inlet.
Air conditioning.

3. Adjusting the air distribution
Press on buttons 3 to change the air fl ow dis-tribution. The symbol (arrows) corresponding to the chosen distribu-tion lights up:
Windscreen and front windows.
Front air vents (central, side and soft diffusion grille if open) and rear air vents.Front and rear footwells.Note: You cannot select distribu-tion to the windscreen/front win-dows and to the front/rear air vents at the same time.

This button activates the recirculation of air in the passenger compart-ment.
Press button 8 to switch off the entry of air from outside. The warning lamp comes on.
Whilst retaining the other settings, this position allows the driver at any moment to exclude unpleasant smells or smoke/emissions coming from outside.
This mode should be cancelled as soon as possible to allow the redistribution of air in the pas-senger compartment.
8. Air recirculation – Entry of air from outsideRemarks:When starting from cold, in order to prevent unwanted cold air, the air fl ow will increase only gradually to its optimum level.
If you enter the vehicle after a fairly prolonged stop and the temperature inside the vehicle is far from comfortable, it serves no purpose to modify the tem-perature that is displayed as an attempt to go immediately to the desired comfort level. The system automatically uses all of its power to compensate the temperature gap as quickly as possible.Water arising from the conden-sation in the air conditioning drains out through a hole pro-vided for this purpose ; a pool of water may thus form under-neath the vehicle when station-ary.
Whatever the time of year, even in cool weather the air condition-ing is useful in removing humid-ity and misting. Avoid driving for too long with air conditioning deactivated.
