Locking filler cap
Turn the key a quarter turn to lock and u n l o c k t h e fi l l e r c a p .
When refuelling, place the cap on the c a r r i e r o n t h e i n s i d e f a c e o f t h e fi l l e r fl a p .
Fuel tank capacity: 60 litres approxi-mately.

6-speed Electronic Gearbox System

Do not select this position, even momentarily, when the vehicle is moving.
Automatic mode
Sport setting
Reverse
Using the lever
Push the lever forwards to change up.
Pull the lever backwards to change down.
Using the control paddles behind the steering wheel
Press the "+" or "-" control paddle behind the steering wheel for an imme-diate gear change up or down respec-tively.
Under heavy acceleration, a higher gear will only be engaged if the driver operates the gear lever or the controls on the steering wheel.
Manual mode
OrThe gearbox operates in auto-active mode without input on your part.

Driver’s seat belt not fastened
This lamp comes on if the driver's seat belt is not fas-tened when the ignition is switched on and while the vehicle is moving at up to 20 km/h (approx. 12 mph)
Above 20 km/h (12 mph), the warn- i n g l a m p fl a s h e s f o r a b o u t 1 2 0 s e c -onds, accompanied by an audible signal.
Passenger seat belt not fastened/unfastened
On switching on the ignition, the warning lamp comes on when the passenger’s seat belt is not fas-tened.
It goes out when the engine is run-ning, doors closed, after 30 sec-onds.
Then it comes on, if the belt is not fastened, while the vehicle is moving at up to 20 km/h (approx. 12 mph).
Above 20 km/h (12 mph), the warn- i n g l a m p fl a s h e s f o r a b o u t 1 2 0 s e c -onds, accompanied by an audible signal.
Front passenger’s airbag deactivation warning lamp
(See "Safety").
Doors open detection
This warning lamp, when the engine is running, comes on if a door, the bonnet and/or the boot is open.
Front/side airbag fault warning lamp
(See "Safety").
Anti-lock Braking System
The ABS warning lamp lights when the ignition is switched on and should go out after a few seconds.
If the warning lamp does not go out, there may be a system mal-function.
Diesel Preheater
Wait for it to go out before operating the starter.
Depollution system warning lamp
I f i t fl a s h e s o r l i g h t s u p w h i l e you are driving, this indi-cates a depollution system operat-ing fault.
Urgently consult a CITROËN Dealer.
SERVICE warning lamp
If it comes on, this indi-cates a fault with one of the systems that do not h a v e a s p e c i fi c w a r n i n g lamp.
See the radio "Log of alerts" to dis-cover the origin of the correspond-ing alert message.
Child safety warning lamp
If child safety is activated, this warning lamp comes on then goes out approximately 10 seconds after starting the engine.

ESP/ASR warning lamp In operation
When either the ESP or ASR system is brought into operation, the ESP/ASR warning l a m p fl a s h e s .
In the event of a problem
When the vehicle is moving, the lighting of the ESP/ASR warning lamp indicates that the system is malfunctioning.
Contact a CITROËN dealer.
Deactivation
Illumination of the ESP/ASR warning lamp and of the ESP control, means that the system is deactivated.
Fuel gauge and low fuel warning
When the tank is full, all the indicator bars are illumi-nated.
When the low fuel level warning comes on, there remain around 7 litres of fuel in the tank and 2 or 3 b a r s o f t h e g a u g e w i l l fl a s h .
If the last bar disappears, there are only around 2 litres of fuel in the tank.
"Foot-on-brake" starting warning lamp for (6 speed) Electronic Gearbox System
During the engine starting phase, t h i s fl a s h e s i f y o u a r e n o t p r e s s i n g the brake pedal.
See "(6 speed) Electronic Gearbox System".
T h i s w a r n i n g l a m p m a y fl a s h i n t h e instrument panel to remind you to apply the brake when engaging reverse gear.
Complementary to the catalytic con- v e r t e r , t h i s fi l t e r m a k e s a n a c t i v e contribution to the preservation of air quality by the retaining of the unburnt pollutant particles. Black exhaust fumes are thus no longer emitted.
C l o g g i n g o f t h e p a r t i c l e fi l t e r
The SERVICE warning lamp and a message in the instrument panel are displayed indicating t h a t t h e p a r t i c u l a t e fi l t e r i s s t a r t i n g to become clogged (exceptionally prolonged urban driving conditions: r e d u c e d s p e e d , t r a f fi c c o n g e s -tion…).
DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER SYSTEM
T o r e g e n e r a t e t h e fi l t e r , y o u a r e advised to drive, as soon as traf- fi c c o n d i t i o n s p e r m i t , a t a s p e e d o f 60 km/h (40 mph) or more for at least 5 minutes (until the warning message disappears).

Observation: After prolonged idling or driving at very low speeds, you may occasionally notice water vapour being emitted from the exhaust when accelerating. This is of no consequence to the running of the vehicle or to the environment.
Diesel fuel additive level
If the additive level is low, a message appears in the multifunction screen, accompanied by an audible signal and illumination of the SERVICE warning lamp: it is necessary to have the additive level topped up. Contact a CITROËN necessary to have the additive level additive level
dealer as soon as possible.

Main menu
Press control A to display the "Main menu" for the multifunction screen. Using this menu, you have access to the following functions:
Presentation:
1 - Time.
2 - Ambient temperature
3 - Date and Display zone
If the outside temperature is between +3 °C and -3 °C, the temperature d i s p l a y fl a s h e s ( r i s k o f i c e ) .
Note: the outside temperature dis-played may be higher than the actual temperature if the vehicle is standing in bright sunlight.
Radio-CD

Trip computer
Bluetooth hands-free kit

Controls
A - Access to the "Main menu".
B - Scrolling in the display menus.
C - Validation and selection in the menus of the function chosen o r t h e v a l u e m o d i fi e d .
D - Cancellation of the operation or return to the previous display.
E - Selection of the type of information you wish to see permanently displayed (date, radio-CD, trip computer) on the right of the screen.
DISPLAY C
It allows:
- Distance to your destination.
- Access to log of alerts (list of the alerts that have been previously signalled).
- Access to status of functions, for example activation/deactivation of automatic lighting of head-lamps, ESP, windscreen wipers.
The driver is advised not to operate the controls when driving.

C O M F O R T
This system automatically regulates t e m p e r a t u r e , a i r fl o w a n d a i r d i s t r i -bution in the passenger compart-ment according to the temperature selected (for each side, right and left).
It provides an optimum level of com-fort regardless of the climatic con-ditions, by permanent use of the automatic air conditioning mode (press the AUTO button) and with a l l t h e v e n t s o p e n.
H a v i n g n o a i r fl o w p r e v e n t s t h e a i r c o n -ditioning and the system in general from working.

1 - A u t o m a t i c o p e r a t i o n
To display the desired tem-perature, rotate control 2or 3:
AUTOMATIC AIR CONDITIONING
The display HI (high) cor-responds to a demand for maximum heating (above 27).
The display LO (low) cor-responds to a demand for maximum air conditioning (below 15).
A press on this control, con- fi r m e d b y t h e d i s p l a y o f " A / C "and "AUTO", automatically manages all the 5 following functions according to the tempera-ture chosen:
- Flow of air.
- Cabin temperature.
- Distribution of air.
- Air conditioning.
- Recycling of air.
To enable the system to operate, all the air vents should be kept open.
3 - A d j u s t m e n t o f t e m p e r a t u r e o n r i g h t h a n d s i d e
- To the left to lower the tempera-ture
- To the right to raise the temperature
The difference between the tem-peratures on the right and on the left cannot be greater than 3.
An adjustment around 21 will provide a temperature that is comfortable. Depending on your requirements, an adjustment between 18 and 24 is normal.
This is the normal operating mode.
